  1. I didn't realise, and again it'll stem from your own childhood that some families do all gifts from Santa. When I was wee Santa brought your main present only and that's what I carried on with mine.
  2. My rule of thumb was that they weren't going to High school knowing! With all of mine they worked out the tooth fairy was me and then followed Santa. I'd say last year was the first (youngest almost 10) we didn't have Santa. That said, they still keep it going for their half sister who is 6.
  3. I happened to be in the car at half and full time today so but it on for the scores. First time in well over a year. McIntyre doesn't have the presenting ability to anchor the show. Gordon had a tone and character that carried it well. Leeanne Crichton's takes were horrendous. Bonner needs pensioned off to an old folks home. Dire.
  4. The BSL guy probably got further through than he expect, 9 weeks and back for final as all are at it so decent earner than had she been booted week one
  5. "Got 20p change for Vishnu, am a bit short on fare?"
  6. Must've found the ability to walk to reach the window screens.
  7. Funnily enough the offending car is parked in the one disabled bay we have.
  8. James was weakest one left and he got out of jail. Molly needs get herself a position with a great chef as she has a talent that needs built in.
  9. You'll hang around all day the God, Buddah and Mohammed will show up at the same time.
  10. I've come home to a letter saying they've set up a new Nuerodevelopment Team for kids on ASD pathway and my daughter's been transferred onto it.
  11. Not sure where you are but I certainly know an adult who had an ADHD referral accepted and I'm in the very long asd waiting list. I'm greater Glasgow and Clyde. I was talking to my daughter's school and apparently the current CAMHS list is the size of a large secondary school. So we're failing to provide mental health services at the very beginning.
  12. Noticed Erskine bridge was closed to high sided. Thought wind was worse than some of the weather warning issue days.
  13. I know it's been done to death on here. The price of holidays in the UK. Was looking at options where mutts could come too. Basic lodge is £1500 for a week in the various school holidays. I could pull them out of school but by time your looking at slightly better weather it Easter, the may bank holidays and then English half term in June. We were going to skip school and go next sept abroad (not with mutts!) but that had to get ditched.
  14. In short Tory voters get 8% rise Those lazy, work shy get 6% and now that you can, in some jobs, work from home more reasons for sanctions.
  15. Kicked off in Erskine last year as their were those that felt the tree was inferior to surrounding towns.
  16. I've no idea who this is but based on that photo I'm going for c**t.
  17. Apparently it wasn't her fault the car beside me wasn't far enough forward. She never parks across two spaces either and she's taken a video to prove it wasn't her fault. I can't expect clearance to reverse straight out. Yup, I know I regularly reverse out of it on he angle and I also didn't park in it on the straight either. I said yes, I tried both doors but you repeatedly park without a thought given. Willing to bet the note and video are on social media.
  18. I always question the private chefs who work for a family but have no formal training. I'd wage that 98% time is spent feeding kids of wealthy families and the very occasional dinner party meaning you don't end up with the range of skills chefs who've worked kitchens have. Easy to have a few good dinner parties up your sleeve, with recipie books and time prepare. They're often found out on blind rounds. Not watched any this week, was just a general reflection.
  19. I nudged an Audi the other week menouvering out, guy was fine, popped clip back in and isn't worried about the tiny scuff. On that ocassion it was my own fault as misjudged it.
  20. She switched the doorbell off so was clearly in and awake.
  21. Parking around the older bits that were originally built as housing associations is tight. There's not even one space were household. Regularly we have a BMW who if it can't be parked right across from house and ring door bell takes up two spaces. This morning she's blocked me in so I couldn't take youngest one to school. She's on a bus but will be late and she'll be out sorts all day. I fully expect my note to be on her #socials. I did put my name and house number on it if she wishes to apologise. Next time I'll shunt it out the way in front of her ring door bell, she'll soon open her door!
