  1. Is it too early for a Murray must go thread? The same rotten crap as we served up last season. Murray has learned nothing and nothing has changed defensively. 3 games and the defence looks awful still.

  3. Surely it doesn't really matter if these players are out. We have got strength in depth this season haven't we?
  4. If you are coming down and want food on the way give Kirkcaldy Golf Club a call. There were a dozen or so St Johnstone fans in on Saturday. They were wearing colours as well so that doesn't seem an issue.Train station to Golf Club 20mins. Golf club to Starks park 10 to 15 mins. The food is decent and its relatively close to the ground. You could go down the high street as well. Plenty places to eat.
  5. Things are shaping up but we are still looking very light in numbers. Last season we had a squad (players listed for matches) of 26. This season we have a squad on the official site of 27. We have 4 keepers this season instead of 3 last season. If (as the Board stated) lack of strength was the reason for our collapse last season, How does having an extra keeper remedy this?
  6. Looks like next season we may be fully justified in singing "Its just like watching Brazil".
  7. Maybe its not all about the money or maybe its people putting 2 and 2 togather and getting 7. He does/used to share a house with Kevin Moone and Stevie May. Maybe that thats the link.
  8. The red strip is actually quite nice. If it hadn't been a The Rangers top I would probably buy one for using at the gym.
  9. I wouldn't worry about the bland sponsor having any link to a bland season. Extrapolating your logic: Panache was fairly thin on the ground last year.
  10. I assume somone at The Rangers has checked that these stadiums in America have grass pitches. I mean they wouldn't want to get there and not be able to play on an artificial pitch would they?
  11. I am not on here very often so as a casual passer by. Is it the case that the Rangers fans actually do know its a new club but won't admit it or do they really believe te club they currently support is the same one as were liquidated? I mean I once had a car with a private number plate and fancy sound system. Some drunk in a stolen car smashed into it one night while I was away on holiday. Anyway the insurance paid out and I bought an identicle car. Fitted the Stereo and transferred the number plate. I never once claimed it was the same car. It parked in the same place, drove the same road to work, I played the same CD's and it had the same number plate. it was still a different car! Surely the same applies to The Rangers. Is it that hard to get?
  12. OK you can't buy out a Board. You can buy Shares. in this case the Majority of the shares are owned by the Board. So it amounts to the same thing. The reasoning is the same. If the club is worth so much to the fans get organised, dig deep and pay the price to buy out the majority shareholders. If you don't pay the going rate then obviously what you claim the club means to you is less than you are willing to value it at with cold hard cash. All the silly little protests won't amount to a single thing. Buying shares from a new issue won't get you influence because you are buying a dilluted holding. Have any of the fan groups actually done anything about making a change other than withholding season ticket money. Simple answer is NO! At the end of teh day money talks. The people in charge want a profit. they probably don't care how they get it. As far as they are concerned the bigger the profit the better.
  13. Petition, Meeting, Petition, red cards, protests, Blue cards. Blah blah blah blah. If this club is worth so much to these fans why don't they pull their finger out, put their hands in their pockets and do something useful. May I suggest BUYING OUT the current Board!! If you care so much organise yourself into 1 group put up the cash and pay the price.
  14. Google luck to Reece. I hope he goes on to make a good career for himself. I think his level is the championship. I think he could have developed into a decent player but like the rest of our youth team he never got a chance. When will our management team give our youth a chance? If Ellis gets a playing contract ahead of Reese then 2 will know it's jobs for his mates with Murray.
  15. A cut and paste from my post on Fantalk: I particularly like this part "One of the main lessons learned was that although the quality of players on the books this season was very good, we perhaps did not have enough ‘strength in depth’ to cope with injuries to key players and suspensions or to enable the management to tactically change the team around in order to counter the strengths of, and attack the weaknesses of, different opponents. " Yes we had quality players. Well recognised. Squad depth was a problem but not the reason the manager could not change the tactics. The manager did not change the tactics even when we had a full squad. We could not counter our opponents because we used the same rigid formation every game. Squad depth was not the issue that we could not get a shot on target against a 10 man Livi team. Nice to see the club communicating and trying to engage with the fans. I am glad they appear to be listening. Now will they listen and get the product on the park fixed as well.
  16. Yes there are regulations: hillsborough.independent.gov.uk/repository/.../HSE000001100001.pdf‎ www.safetyatsportsgrounds.org.uk/sites/default/files/.../green-guide.pdf‎ Both are quite old (especially the second one) but there are a raft of more up to date regulations for spectator safety. They are usually built in to the development phase of new stadiums and also form part of the safety certificate conditions on existing stadium. Believe it or not I used to work with a guy who could recite all of these. He was a mad football fan and keen architect. He was obsessed with the new stadiums getting built in the 90's.
  17. I am glad Joe cardle came out and said the obvious. It is refreshing to hear some honesty. We hear very little from the managment team. As for Grant Murray's comments. Unless the journalist is cutting his quote short then it is very dissappointing. I sincerely hope the full quote is "Overall the league form has not been good enough. The team has not performed and our league position is not good enough. However we have won a national trophy and performed well in other cups. Overall it is teh most successful season I have been involved with" There must be some recognition from the manager or the management team that we had a poor season. They simply can not possibly believe that the product on the pict was anywhere near good enough this season. As for the cup win.I don't think we beat any team who were above us in the league throughout that cup run.
  18. Anyone that seriously thinks a manager is not privy to contract details is bonkers. As the manager he needs to know because needs to manage the dressing room. There will be a wage structure which is designed in part to prevent dressing room squabbles.
  19. Apologies if this has been asked before but if Falkirk do get promoted will they have to replace their plastic pitch with a grass one?
  20. What Paul Smith adds is a mystery. I am not sure you could count him as a capable coach. What has he achieved? Not a great deal at Berwick. I would have thought he would have been experienced enough to keep Murray right on some of the really crazy decisions that he has made. In particular the team selection against Dumbarton was a low point. Surely an experienced manager should have said somthing like "Wait a minute, Spence and Smith are not good enough to start in their own favoured position as strikers, So you want to play them out of position in midfield? Are you sure? Why not play midfielders in position Grant" If we genuinly can't punt Murray then we need someone better around about him because as a Management Team they have been awful in the bread and butter matches.
  21. Neither, The Board should use it to ensure the long-term financial viability of the club. Any surpluses should be used to pay off loans and reduce our borrowings. We will start next season with a playing budget which Grant Murray will have to manage within.I wouldn't give Murray any more to strengthen the squad. Players will want to play in the Championship next season. It will be high profile. I don't think Murray is a good manager but rather than punt him I would punt the people around him (on the cheap) and bring in someone that can help him.
  22. I hear this quite a lot about our young players and I simply just don't get it. If you are a footballer and you are not good enough for mid-table SPFL Championship team at 18 then you should just go and pursue an other career. 18 is not a youngster anymore in footballing terms. Players regularly play in the EPL at this age. If by 18 they can't get in our team are they worth keeping? We have seen dozens of fringe youth players all get a few minutes here and their and they end up in Junior football or worse at East Fife.
  23. Oh i think you will fid that "turning a profit" was very much greens plan. He has turned a huge profit from this whole mess. The whole business plan was to maximise investors profit. The rest is all smoke and mirros of an utterly unsustainable short-term profit maximisation business model. Everyone who got penny shares is laughing at the expense of the blind fans who have bankrolled them and paid straight onto their pockets.
  24. I was at the pub last night. The pub had a stream of Rangers TV which the landlord put on after the Barca V Man City game. It was utterly cringeworthy. I can see how the Rangers Fans are brainwashed. It was incredible. "The Rangers Legend McCoist", "He doesn't do walking away", the "silverware we deserve" and "historic season" were all used multple times. Embarrassing stuff. It was even worse than the fat bloater that does the Falkirk TV coverage.
