  1. So on Sunday there was not going to be a Board meetingthis week and it was business as usual. Now the board are asking to meet King at what only be defined as a Board meeting. I thought Wallace had some brains but he is looking as daft as the rest.
  2. I was worried about our form before the Cowden game and I think the interview Dougie Hill did in the FFP a few weeks back sums up our problems. Hill was banging on about "winning ugly" and the pitches not being great. How we needed to play long ball football and "win second balls". This is one of our most experienced players talking and what we have been subjected to is exactly what he was describing. Long ball hopefull punts. This is why we miss Watson so much. He was happy on the ball and found passes. We played football at Hibs and did well. We played some decent stuff in the 2nd half on Saturday. The quicker we get back to actually playing football with a mobile interested midfield the better. Add to this some outrageous tactical decisions and it is no surprise we are where we are. 1 up front is not good enough. Thomson at Centre half? This run of form is sacking material. Many many other clubs would have sacked Murray by now. He should think himself lucky the Board did back him and are backing him but the Board should be weighing up their options right now. Murray should be under pressure to get results. If he gets them, then good, if not then the Board must act for the good of the club.
  3. Were the Sons of Struth not also threatening to boycott Sports Direct of the owner sided with the current Board. He must be quaking in his boots if ALL 4 boycott. These clowns don't have a clue. I wonder how that conversation went. "Lets protest outside Murray park" "Great idea get eth banner, it will show we are a force to be reckoned with" "Round up the boys and bring a camera" End result 4 boys turn up and yor wee group is shown up for what it is. Totally insignificant. At least the job centre wold have been a bit quieter that day.
  4. I am not sure if this has been covered before but apparently all of he Security and stewards are employed by one of the Directors other companies. This may well be the reason that there is planned to be a significant number of stewards at the AGM. Just an other snout in the trough.
  5. Double bonus points for the utter ignorance and stupidity to even suggest that the Romans used a straight handed solute. There is absolutely no historical evidence to support this. It was not until the portrayal of Romans in the Movies that the straight armed solute first appeared. You can trawl the whole of the Roman Empire and you will never ever see a straight armed solute depicted in any surviving artwork or statue. This is the most common excuse which the far right use when challenged.
  6. Funny how this thread has degenerated into a lot of utter point scoring p**h. Must be a total coincidence that the team are playing well and there is very little to moan about. So the posters here will just bicker among themselves until the team have an off day then start slaughtering the players and moaning again.
  7. He is the PR man. His job is to promote a positive image of teh club or at least minimise the bad publicity. Its really obvius what he isn't doing. He isn't doing his job considering the negative media coverage that is sloshing about at the moment.
  8. With all of this bad publicity and crap flying about how come we haven't heard from Jim Traynor? Is he not taking a wage as their press/media officer? he does less than McCoist
  9. I can't wait fopr the next share issue. I am seriously considering buying shares. Can you imagine how much funnier the whole thing would be actually getting the shareholder correspondance and attending the meetings.
  10. I suspected it was a serious amount of cash. I knew there had been problems at pitreavie.for a while. It really does hurt as a hard working taxpayer living in Fife. The council (also known ad the taxpayers) will now have to find this money from already tight public funds. In short we get screwed over and a badly run business gets to walk away from its commitments without consequence. I hope the taxpayers of Fife remember this.
  11. Will the result of the fans survery be made public? Just a thought but it would be interesting to see if there are any common themes across the fans at other clubs. I know we have had similar but less formal exercises inthe past. From an outsiders point of view I would be utterly amazed if your Board take any notice. Some of the individuals on your Board simply can not be told they are wrong. I know one and have worked with an other. Both will never admit they are wrong but blame everyone else for their short comings.
  12. Same old tricks from the Ranger ripping off their won charity. The Scottish Charity Regulator has now ruled that the decision-making of the trustees "constituted misconduct". However, it decided not to take action against any of the trustees. The regulator's report states that the Rangers Charity Foundation had three trustees at the time of the game - all of whom were employed by or held senior positions at the club. Why has the regulator decided not to take any action. If they have decided that the decisions making constituted mis-conduct why are they not pursuing this? The OSCR are a taxpayer funded service. Why are they not acting on our behalf to follow this up. Must be a conspiracy as well.
  13. Donaldosn appeared at Centre half because he plays there a lot in theunder 19's. He seemed to do OK and I would have no worries about him covering as a centre half.
  14. The stuff on fantalk is either someone at the wind up or his father being a complete tit. Welcome to the world of being an adult looking for a job. Getting told over the phone is better than not being told at all or getting a letter or e-mail. If I was Lewis I would be mortified that my dad was acting this way. What sort of a person does that make him look. His next manager will be looking at the player wondering "will I get his dad spouting crap on the internet if I drop him or sub him or play him out of position?" If he is for real he has done his son no favours.
  15. Its good to see who the complete and utter morons are in the South Stand when its quiet. There is no pleasing some of these clowns. They could start with learning the rules ie the whole ball has to be out before its a throw in, when its Ok to shape your body to sheild a ball, why deliberately running into the opposition is not a free kick. This could be closely followed by being able to identify our players. Last night some clown was shouting and screeming at Spence when Elliot had made a mistake. I mean they look so similar don't they? These games have been pre-season friendlies. The whole point is for the manager to assess the players and for the players to gel together. The results would have definately been different if the matches were competitive. No-one put in real challenges or took part in the gamesmanship (tugs, nips, kicks etc) that goes in during competitive matches. Get a grip folks. Things are looking more positive with this team than they have for many years. At least wait until we are playing against our peers before judging the players and manager.
  16. Every Hibs fan i have spoken to say that Booth is a bombscare at left back but a very good left sided midfielder. He prefers going forward apparently.
  17. I would imagine for a company like, for example, the Purvis Group there would be a profit in East End for development. Purvis could do the demolition, sell off re-usable salvage then recycle the concrete. The man has the whole company infrastructure, recycling to home building, to make money out of EEP. Even if he just gets planning permission for the site he would make money. The housing market is about to pick up again. I am sure he would not close the pars but possibly move to a new smaller stadium.
  18. There were lits of people moaning about the style of football at that time. Those who could see that the success was short term and papering over the cracks. Watching a succesful team is not the be all and end all otherwise I would have a season ticket at Man Utd or Celtic etc. What is important from both footballing and commercial angles is entertainment and if you beleive the Board being part of yhe community. No one wants to watch our style of football. Fans turn up out of loyalty and habit. Its what you do on a Saturday. Its what we have always done. No money is tight and alternatives abound unless the entertainment returns the fan base will dwindle. Other teams can play good football why not us?
  19. For the first time in years i am not sure about renewing my ticket. If it were not for my son wanting to go it would be a no brainer and it would be no chance. I suspect many fans will be on the brink next year and giving the club one more chance. An other season of negative anti football rubbish and the loyal core support will start eroding away.
  20. Half our squad are so slow it looks lke they have been tied down all season. Ellis is past it as a player. We need to get rid of the players who's first instinct is to swing a foot through the ball and blooter it as far up the pitch as possible. Ellis sadly does this 90% of the time. This style is part of our problem that is putting off fans. If we keep players like Walker what message does this send out to the fans and young players. Walker has had some utterly rotten games but never gets dropped, rarely ever even subbed. If Murray is staying at the helm then he needs to stamp his authority on the team. He will be judged more critically next year when the squad is 100% his. If he decides to keep his favourites and they don't perform then he is at risk of disallusioning even more fans and shrinking our fanbase even more.
  21. Before we sign anyone for next season we should start with the core of our team being the players we have invested in and brought through our youth. Laidlaw, Donaldson, Callaghan and Vaughan must be playing regularly. Otherwise serious questions must be asked of the coaching staff. We should then build round these players with part time quality that they can learn from. The stale, slow, imobile plodders that we have must go.
  22. If we go fully part time as rumoured. What do we do with the youth set up? What a joke it would be to bring people through and at 17 or 18 offer them a part time contract.
  23. If we go fully part time as rumoured. What do we do with the youth set up? What a joke it would be to bring people through and at 17 or 18 offer them a part time contract.
  24. What i really don't get here (excuse me if i have missed it) but what do pars fans expect administration to achieve? In administration the rights of the creditors should be foremost in Jacksons mind. He has to agree a cva with them which means agreeing a cva with Masterton. ONLY IF keeping DAFC as a going concern isrhe most likely way if agreeing a cva should he seek to keep them a going concern. Administration us a business principal enshrined in the companies act. A football club should be no different from any other business but the fans seem to see it otherwise.
