Honestly, what happened to Robert Snodgrass? He's gone from a classy winger to a perma-raging diving wee dickhead.

I think his legs have gone and he's getting more and more frustrated. Still capable of moments of quality but you can see guys like Baccus and Devlin buzzing around him , he's yards off the pace.

If St Mirren actually have a third choice keeper then I don't know who he is. I expect if one of our keepers get injured we are trying to find Bobby Zamal again to see if he fancies another emergency loan.

Would probably be Langfield 😂. Has Samson not appeared on the bench for Aberdeen a couple of times this season?

I think this is one of Neilson's traits - he tries to play mind games - with refs and players.

Is he any good at it?

    Probably not.

My favourite was when he first pumped at the final whistle when our playoff game v United went to penalties. They then went on to miss every single penalty.

To this day I'm not sure if he assumed the away goal rule was going to be implemented or his team were really good at penalties.

    Only boyband Robbie knows.

That Hamilton game was a massive kick in the stones.

We had about 3 games in hand over StJohstone and kept drawing.

It was sort of karma due to our games getting postponed because of the several COVID outbreaks at the club, but aye still a kick in the balls.

Last season was very deflating too. We were in a superb position.

Robinson has won 99% of folk round now but it was getting very hard to defend him, especially after the league cup in the summer.

A lot depends on what each is costing us. Watt is getting better as he gets more matches. I suspect Watt would be the "happier" player if it was a choice of one being at the club next season.

Financially you'd imagine both would cost similar?

Brophy will likely be moved on anyway if we can find a buyer.

Maybe need both up front if King Curtis doesn't sign a new deal 😮

The 2 up front looked a great pairing yesterday, they clicked so well.

Both have fitness issues, Brophys seem more medical, Watt seems to be his own down fall. Robinson would be good for him though, would need a good pre season under his belt.

Tickets for Tynecastle showing as all sold on the ticketing page of the website. Is that it (looks like we only had a few hundred) or will another section be made available  ?

Is it not the case they don't sell that section because their halfwit fans in the corner of the main stand can't behave themselves?

Really good team performance but Gogic and Small in particular were outstanding. We’re so much better with Shaughnessy back, Gogic in midfield and Small on the left side, just a shame it’s taken so long to get that lineup.

Thought Boyes was especially poor for Livi and I didn’t get why they kept trying to work everything through the middle when our middle three were doing so well.

Hope we can get Small up here for next season. He's really coming onto a game now.

From the sounds of it we’re going for 352, back to the big physical game that we played in the championship.

will be a bit of a battle today

It was a battle that Livi never showed up for until the game was effectively over. Can't remember a Livi team ever roll over and get their bellies tickled like that before. If that chance that hit the bar goes in it could have been different, and we were almost inviting Livi back into the game at times, they definitely had chances.

Could see they were both penalties from the other end of the pitch, f'ck knows why it took so long for VAR to decide, or why Beaton didn't initially award them.

O'Hara took his penalties well, Watt took his goal brilliant but f'ck me, Gogic was head and shoulders above everyone today. It's a thing of beauty watching him charge about the pitch like that, dominated everything.

  9. It makes a difference when you have players that are so comfortable on the ball. The likes of Robertson, KT, McGregor pulling the strings, Gilmour, McGinn, McPerfect , even Porteous, all comfortable keeping possession in tight areas instead of hoofing it up to a very effective target man.

Spain were clearly rattled, never seen a team dive and whinge so much , maybe a bit biased but I don't think we were even that physical or dirty . Robertson's kid on hard man routine nearly got us into bother.

The result will go down in history as one of our best since the turn of the millennium anyway, not as good as the France double header but pushing to get into the top 5.

A lot of work to do and nothing has been achieved yet but it's a brilliant feeling to get off to a flyer and our direct rival in the group doing a Scotland.

Angus Gunn looks a very capable replacement too. Good handling last night in what looked like tricky conditions.

@sergie's no1 fan I didn't see the game - what sort of reception did Goodwin get?

Wasn't there but as mentioned a few posts ago, looks like nothing really happened either way.

Looked like Goodwin gave a wee clap to our fans after the game though.

I'd love to see the possible foul on Grieve in the lead up to the Main incident, which again clearly shouldn't be a penalty.

    Sellick levels of whataboutery there

I shan’t waste my Saturday evening defending the Jutes for one more second

    Shame on you, Weegie

Aw Grimey, I am offended by everything in that post yet ashamed of nothing, Sellick levels again? 😮 3rd place looks on the cards for you lot doesnt it?

    Their pal, the ref.

    Sorry bud.

United look like they have a shot at staying up, although games like yesterday yous probably have to win.

Theiry Small looked electric when he came on yesterday. Hoping we can get a loan extension in place for next season.

    Wow

As much as I love to see United in the mud that is fucking cheating from Curtis Main

Shambles from the ref and the VAR dicks

Seem to remember a Dons player doing exactly the same thing against us in our last game at Pittodrie, was it Duk? 🤔 Not saying what Main did was right but every team does it. And we're not even sure if the penalty was given for that or a previous foul that maybe happened a minute or so before

  13. 1 hour ago, Pull My Strings said:

Some performance from that ref today, oh ya cunt. I though he was going to book Main for the dive. Presumably the VAR guys were checking every angle to see if there was the slightest touch to help back up their pal. Eventually, they must have found an angle which could conceivably have shown contact. Absolute nonsense.

Some misses at the end too. Wow. We are definitely going down.

Their pal? Main can dish it out but he also gets battered about the place yet rarely gets a free kick.

The penalty could have been given for the foul on Grieve a minute earlier, that looked more like a better shout but there wasn't too many replays of that one because we were awarded one for the foul on Main. There was contact but nowhere near enough for him to go down. Stupid from the defender right enough.

Nah, not for me. If he's in attendance at the celebration in October as former captain then fine, but tomorrow he's in charge of a rival because he chose to leave us. He knows how tribal football is.

If it was any other weekend I'd agree, weird twist of fate we are facing each other on a pretty big anniversary. I don't mean serenade him for 10 minutes before kick off but a wee acknowledgment on a special occasion wouldn't go amiss.  Hope he's miserable tonight after a pumping, obviously.

Funny feeling about this one, misplaced optimism?

Who knows. Looking forward to it though.

Must admit I'm never confident going to Tannadice no matter what state United are in. Didnt see much of the Aberdeen game but it seems yous showed up but we're let down by a certain defender.

Gallagher and Dunne missing is huge for us. I'd maybe expect to see gorgeous Joe start to go up against Fletcher, if he's fit.

The pressure is on both teams today for different reasons
