There’s more chance of you signing for Dundee United than Curtis Main!
Seeing a pattern develop with our ex manager falling out with players.

In all honesty, if it was a straight choice between Steven Fletcher and Curtis Main, what is people's preference?
I feel Fletcher is a shorter term option that could grab goals in this side but Main is so tailor made to the way we play.
Fletcher is the more predatory striker, if he had the chances Main had last season he'd have scored 20 odd.
Main creates these chances for himself and others though, due to the hardwork he does. Very unselfish player.
Fletcher wouldn't be able to defend from the front the way Main did but you'd fancy him more to score even a half chance.
Tldr feck knows, unless Robinson is going to change our style Main probably edges it for me.

If the Brophy/Henderson money lands us this guy and he is a star, I'll finally forgive Ross County for selling us that dud Arquin.

Everything is caveated with 'at the moment' and 'at this moment in time' on both sides from Robinson and Feeney.
I actually am not sure this is as dead in the water as it appears and there's a bit of poker being played. Glad we aren't hanging about though to be honest.
Might force the players hand to make the move happen. 27 years old, coming into his peak. Has a good couple of years with us might get him a move to Hibs/Aberdeen or a move down South for a big pay day in his twilight years.

A six-figure fee for Brophy is fucking mental.
Fair play to the board for that.
Aye, that can't be sniffed at. Recoups some of the money we have lost on him over the years and frees up his wage.
I thought I seen Roy McGregor saying in the media about teams over spending to get in the top 6, days later they pull this off .
A fit Brophy could be the difference between a relegation scrap and a plain sailing season, but we know he'll have his issues this season.
Scored some raspers for us though, shame it never worked out.

If Carson stayed at United last season, they stay up and we probably don't make the top 6.
Carson leaving gives me the fear for a few reasons.
Finding a replacement. We are due a bad one.
Secondly, how is it possible for the manager and player to have a fall out literally days after they have came back for training?

It's nice that was are dishing out a late kick to the nuts of someone else's qualifying campaign, too many times since the turn of the millennium it was us that conceded the late goals and suffered the heart break over and over and over.
Dykes has next to no service at all yesterday, worked his arse off in that heat, didn't look like it was working for us then bang, he scores and sets one up. I've been critical of him in the past, think we all have, but fair play to him, constantly proving folk wrong.

I’m fucked. But I fuckin love being Scottish. Been a LONG while since I celebrated a goal like that.
Pretty much had the same vibes as Griffiths' 2nd free kick for me.
Also had the same vibes when Armstrong dribbled the ball on the touchline and lost it with 30 seconds to go .
What a team, what a manager, what a nation.
Spare a thought for the rancid union flag bio'd bigots who are absolutely spewing . Along with the IRA loving weirdos that popped up after the game, bizzarely, thought theyd be in hiding. Up ye.

Indeed. You never appreciate how good someone is until they are replaced
I’m hopeful that Taylor is going to be a star but realistic to know that he’ll be a boo boy target regardless
FWIW, I think Dunne has been excellent
Dunne has been excellent for us. When he first signed I was really concerned with his injury record.
He has moments in games when he loses the plot a bit, if he didn't make they mistakes he wouldn't have been playing for a club like ours anyway, he'd be at a higher level. Thankfully for us Taylor found his feet near the end of the season, so it softens the blow.
If United sign Dunne they obviously haven't learned their lesson from previous seasons in over spending. How long is their owner willing to write off millions of pounds? We also know Goodwin likes to spend the cash

As soon as they started singing the jags are going up, the StMirren fan in me went uh ohhh they've fucked it too soon.

This feeling but x100 today.
Aye, I'm weirdly nervous for this.
I like both clubs, not a fan of one of the managers though but the clubs are fine.
The way Thistle are playing they would bring an exciting brand of football to the top flight.
It's weird since I've been going to the games, Saints and Thistle have hardly been in the same leagues together, going back to the early 90s here, and when we are in the same league normally one of us either wins it or are relegated.

As for Shaughnessy, he definitely still offers something at this level. For us, he was back up to Gallagher. Done well when called upon but we didn't have the same solidity as we had in the first half of the season. Too good to be sitting on the bench at this stage in his career.
It's a good signing for Dundee but they will need someone with a bit of speed beside him, especially if yous play with a back 4. Very dominant in the air too and is a leader in the dressing room.

Rarely been on the past few weeks.
First of all, 6th place is an incredible season for us, that would have been Robinsons target at the start of the season (not for many other folk tbh) and he has achieved that . Brilliant.
Europe was so close yet so far for us, looks like the squad ran out of legs towards the finish line. Lack of options on the bench killed us. Ayunga, Gallagher, even Tait missing came to define our season. If he's available you'd like to think he wouldn't have been sent off twice in the last few games for losing the head.
We have lost some key players from the dressing room now, these wages are freed up. Rebuilding can go both ways but we have the nucleus of a decent squad. I don't think we can handle selling too many players on top of the ones we have lost though. I'm looking at Strain, Baccus and O'Hara.
But aye, enjoyable season, could have been even better with Europe but at the end of the day we didn't really deserve it going by the games after the Tynecastle win.

Has it even been a month since Kevin Clancys address was posted online and he started getting sent death threats through the door?
Oops yeah I forgot about that

Aye, it’s a foul.
I think I’ve also said similar on here before, in that I believe there are pressure factors that will influence the decision of a referee in various scenarios that lead to mistakes rather than it being a case of bias.
With VAR at in use, do can 2 officials use that as an excuse? You've even had teams getting penalties at parkhead.
Definitely not hinting at a conspiracy theory, more leaning towards what you are saying. Officials are shitebags, in particular at ibrox.
What is the worst that is going to happen if they award a penalty or send someone off? They aren't going to get a doing. They'll get booed (like they do every other ground) and that will be that.

Can't give a team like Hibs a 2 goal head start and expect anything from the game.
We bounced back better in the 2nd half, had we got an equaliser it would have been daylight robbery on the grand scale of things.
Why did Robbo not start Baccus? And how did Main not score that sitter .
We've got it all to do now. Needing at least 1 shock result and a snooker or 2.
Well done the Hibees though

I get that folk might think as you do and you may well be right.
When Greive came at first he seemed much more effective once he got a run in the 1st 11.
My issue is we need more goals and assists from both these guys.
So whether it's starting or as a sub, may they both hit the sweet spot
Oh yeah 100% agree.
Just seems we get the best out of Grieve when he comes on against a tiring defence.
Either way both players won't let us down, whoever gets the nod.

Hope Greive especially grabs his chance to score winning goals. Could do with some from Kiltie too.
Hibs 1 St. MIRREN 2 Gogic and Greive
He's better coming off the bench for some reason.
Kiltie playing off Main could cause damage, he's wasted in the midfield 3.

Ryan Flynn and Stephen McGinn dream team.
Ooft.
Would that be the most handsome management team in the history of football? .

Ryan Flynn is the sole remaining player from my 2017/18 Championship Winners mug (by a margin) so from a purely nostalgic POV I'm glad to see him stay - in fact my suggestion is that he never be allowed to leave.
He has future manager vibes about him.

If we can someone get a game plan on how to stop Youan, we may have a chance.
He ran the show in Paisley and was miles better than everyone else on the pitch.
Seen a few folk saying there is no pressure on us now as we have met our target, I'm not so sure. Most of us are choking for European football, there's at least 1 spot up for grabs and we might not get a better shot at European football for who knows how long.
We need to show up here.

Do we have cover for Strain? I know Fraser can play there, Flynn at a push too (poor choice of words I know).
Ideally get someone in like Tait who is reliable in a couple of different positions for full back/wing back left and right sided.
