  1. I don' think we ever control a game with the 2 in the middle. Alston goes missing and Gomis is left all over the shop. On Sunday I actually thought we coped in the middle very well against a good Rangers side. If we used this formation against League 1 sides I think we would dominate games more thus create more chances. I mean 4-4-2 against Forfar at home never exactly brought goals galore. None of our strikers are on fire at the moment either and playing Francis is an absolute waste of a jersey. I know what you mean that we lack someone able to play up top on his own which may be a problem: although, I'd be confident with Morrison and Connelly either side of the striker with Alston supporting that we would do the damage against most sides in this league. These are probably our three best players outside Keena and feel we need to play them in their most effective position.
  2. I wouldn’t be adverse to the idea of playing the same formation as against Rangers. With Alston, Connolly and Morrison all supporting the striker it’ll still be attacking minded with Gomis and Telfer/Todd in the middle. I don’t think a middle two of Alston and Gomis has been particularly working.
  3. What’s the problem here? They loaned Partick Thistle two youths so it isn’t the league we are in.
  4. Love the thread. I’ve volunteered in Zimbabwe before which was different class and off the beaten track. Ended up travelling at the end of it visiting Botswana and South Africa. As a touristy thing to do I’d highly recommend Victoria Falls to anyone visiting SA as a 2 day side trip. Mongolia is a fantastic shout; would be interesting if someone on here has visited to share the experience. Colombia in general is high on my list but it’s fast becoming very popular so probably won’t come under ‘strange’.
  5. Budapest is excellent. I also agree with Prague - found it very tacky in areas trying to accommodate the stag parties. Interesting you say that about Naples. We were meant to go this year pre-covid and the reviews we received were extremely mixed.
  6. Clyde 2 - 1 Forfar Athletic Cove Rangers 2 - 2 Montrose East Fife 1 - 5 Airdrie Falkirk 3 - 0 Peterhead Partick Thistle 2 -0 Dumbarton
  7. Agreed with this with the exception of Francis. Toss up between Sammon and Dowds. Neither of them are great and we desperately need Keena back fit.
  8. I meant to post this last week and probably horrible timing on the day of an inevitable shoeing from The Rangers but what a great ‘keeper you have in young PJ Morrison. Early signs are showing him to be incredibly mature for his age and rarely puts a foot wrong. He’s an all round ‘keeper who commands his area and can distribute well. On Tuesday night he had nothing to do whatsoever until the 80th minute pulling off a first class save. He’s also pulled off a penalty save against Partick Thistle. Is he involved with the Scotland set up and has he been talked up before this loan move? I’m hoping the rinsing we receive today won’t dent his confidence.
  9. As it says on the tin - what’s your favourite? Looking to use this to feed my own travel addiction! Mine so far has been Buenos Aires. The city is drenched in history, culture and a passion for the game we all love. The contrast in areas and buildings made for an all round cracking trip. From the working mans Boca area to the hip Palermo Soho the place was just incredible. As part of the trip we also managed to take in a Boca Juniors game which was worth the trip itself. Hands down the best atmosphere I’ve experienced at a football game. The buzz around the stadium hours leading up to a match that was effectively similar to playing Hamilton Accies was surreal. To top it off the nightlife was incredible. Ended up in a lock in until 7 which probably sounds incredibly dodgy in South America Best European city for me has been Rome so far.
  10. Absolutely not. I seen odds of 11/10 of more than 3.5 goals which looks more tempting.
  11. 100% agree. Leitch I think is a decent enough player and will win us points over the season coming off the bench but isn't good enough to start at the moment, imo. If Connolly isn't fit yet, I'd be tempted to start Telfer instead of him who I thought has looked promising this season. It's a worry our strikers aren't scoring much; any word back on Keena yet? Desperately need him fit ASAP. 2nd half against Cove and the 90minutes last night have both been excellent giving me a little bit of hope M&M are on the right track coming into a massive month ahead. If you removed Mutch's moment of madness against Forfar we'd be sitting comfortably top of the league. As someone mentioned previously, the January window will be huge. the 1/2 players we bring in need to improve the squad rather than jersey fillers like De Vita.
  12. Agree regarding Leitch who anonymous again on Saturday. He might be a better option to use as a sub and bring on in the middle behind the front two. I’d be starting Connolly or Todd if either are fit enough to do so.
  13. Airdrie 1-1 Cove East Fife 0-2 Clyde Montrose 2-2 Partick Thistle Peterhead 2-0 Forfar
  14. The stats surprisingly aren’t supporting Cove’s version of events.
  15. Totally agree. They play the best football in the league by a mile but it’s a common theme that they’re unlucky in defeat. Would be interesting to see what he could do with a full time side.
  16. Aye I was shocked at how poor they were against us. Comfortably the worst team we’ve faced this season. Has it went stale under Young?
  17. What kind of Rangers team would you expect Gerrard to field in this tie? A second string should comfortably beat us regardless but your first team would have the potential to hit double figures. I fear he will want to keep up the momentum and field something similar to what destroyed Hamilton. Horrible draw for our point of view.
  18. Airdrie had the better of us over the season. What was going to change over the playoffs? We absolutely shat it against Rovers away and were lucky to come away with a draw. Absolutely nothing suggests we would have been promoted if it hadn’t been for the pandemic.
  19. We aren’t as bad as you make out. Only 4 points behind the league leaders, Cove Rangers. Let’s get behind the boys and have a real go at promotion this season. COYB.
  20. Clyde 1-2 Montrose Falkirk 1-1 Cove Rangers Forfar Athletic 0-2 Airdrieonians Partick Thistle 2-0 East Fife Peterhead 1-0 Dumbarton
  21. Found it absolutely bizarre and not needed tbh. No one other than people who reside in Falkirk would even understand the joke. I really enjoy the show but he comes across as a smug cock.
