I would love for us to pay a fee for Liam Smith but I doubt Hearts will let him go given how much of a standout he’s been for us. Jack is not the type of manager who hangs about and will most definitely get his transfer dealings done early. Paul McGinn is a good solid signing if the rumours about a PCA are true. We can’t really hang about until late July or early August to find out if Hearts are going to keep or let Liam Smith go.

I was thinking about how long it would take for someone to mention Miller as a possible signing he’s more likely to get a coaching role somewhere in my opinion. He could certainly still do a job at that level for someone maybe go back to Hibs if he wants to continue playing.

We have also been the most consistent side by some distance, the turnaround from the beginning of last season to where we are now is quite a testement to our management team and what they have achieved in that short space of time. I'd give Stelios another year tbh, He's one of these players that can fill a number of positions, and he has a first class attitude.

Second goal Ian, his first was another rocket from outside the box against QOS. He's under contract at Hearts for another year I think so it might not be possible to get him on a permanent deal, unless we pay a fee. Depends if Hearts see him in their plans for next season.

Gary Monk has apparently thrown his hat in the ring for the Barnsley gig. My gut feeling is that Jack will see out the remainder of the season with Saints, and probably take on a bigger job at the end of the season.

The salary increase of around 5 times what he's on at the moment will swing it in favour of JR taking the Barnsley gig if he does actually get interviewed for the job. Lets not forget that Barnsley have had over 100 applicants and will have more experienced managers in line for the job. Nothing from Barnsley official just a pish story in the Sun. Enough said.
