Good to hear. Was at the last 2 Burns fights at the Hydro and seen my fair share of whoppers. Nice to hear that they got good hospitality, there seemed to be a few little pockets of Namibians across the arena.

I am absolutely seething Had 200 quid on Johnson at 6/4 to win by TKO thinking that the fight would never go to the ground and he goes and nearly KO's him and sticks him in an arm bar to win by submission.

Gave Burns 2 rounds and that was me being as biased as I possibly could.

Great part of the world to be playing golf in on a nice day. Enjoy.

Played the Eden a couple of years ago in the wind and it would have got golf stopped. Balls rolling about the green and falling off the tee, it was ridiculous. When the wind blows on that course it's hard to concentrate on your shot. Wouldn't mind going back to play it on a nice day as it seemed a good course but I still have nightmares about it.

I remember Andy McLaren playing football and taking a lot of stick, all the 'junkie' chants, but what did he actually do to deserve that, I'm too young to remember it? Did he actually take heroin or was it just a case of fans jumping on drug taking and calling him a junkie? Because you could level that accusation at about 50 percent of footballers in Scotland these days. I remember bumping into the Wolves team when they had their Christmas night out in the golf lounge in Glasgow and they were all on the gear, Fletcher dressed as Big Bird from Sesame Street included. They were never out the cubicles in there.

McGuigan shouldn't do post fight interviews he's not clever enough. You could see his son and Josh Taylor uneasy when he mentioned Burns. His boy even said they need 2 more fights till he gets to world level at the earliest, why does he continue to spout this nonsense. Taylor is undoubtedly Scotlands next hope but let the man grow into it like the way most fighters are positioned into it these days. Was a good fight to watch from Taylor but can't help but think the amount of switching he does between orthodox and southpaw hinders him. He literally does it 3 or 4 times a round, and although he looks comfortable it looks like he goes out there with no plan and that might go against him against any one he steps up to.

I was watching an Amatuer Scottish Cup game earlier in the season and McLaren was playing for Tynecastle. He got a second yellow and tried to stick the head on the referee. It was highly amusing.

Going to Bochum v Fortuna Düsseldorf next Friday, then Dortmund v Leverkusen on the Saturday.

If the next fight is in Belfast then I'm there.

It was a wide win for him there but it wasn't anywhere near his best. Didn't seem to be able to make the angles that he usually does, his footwork usually allows him to step outside and throw shots from all angles but apart from a couple of times he never really done that tonight. Still a good win against an awkward opponent.

Well done Taylor, shame he couldn't keep his 100% KO record but it might do him good to forget about that from now on as he seemed to be loading up looking for the KO quite a lot there.

Got tickets for the Saunders fight in Paisley. It's going to be absolute amateur hour but seeing a world title being defended in a leisure centre in paisley was something I couldn't miss.

Me and a friend are looking to go down to Leeds v Villa on the 3rd December. Can anyone tell me how hard it would be to get tickets for this game? Do you need to be registered on their site for certain games?

I have 2 tickets for Dortmund v Hertha berlin on Friday night and 2 tickets for the Koln game on the Saturday. I'm now unable to attend either of these games if anyone would want to buy them or know if anyone would? The Dortmund tickets are for the big terracing and were 80 quid each off viagogo but i would accept less.
