What a brilliant result. Certainly didn't see it coming.
The start to the day's made even better by the English toys out of the pram reaction to the Lions call ups. The bleating is immense.

Actually that's one heck of a big structure for the floodlights on the stand roof. It's like something out of War of the Worlds.

Love the maroon tops to the white posts. That's what I call attention to detail.

Read how McInnes knocked back Sunderland to stay at Aberdeen last night then move on to read how Sunderland have agreed a fee with Aberdeen and will try to appoint McInnes as manager with Del helping appoint his successor if he moves to Sunderland. Exciting. I wonder how their approach will work out.

Scott Allan would've been perfect for you guys. Pity......

Looks like being a really shite time to be a St Johnstone fan over the next few weeks. 'Pleasing'. P&B's top roaster in fine form here.

I wonder if it's just co-incidence that Scobbie leaves and we hear that we are possibly bringing in a player. Thought we were ok for 2 or 3 new signings rather than being dependant on one out, one in.

Not really, the club are pretty communicative it's just as onthefringes says its a policy they have that they try to avoid commenting on specific targets since as Alan Burrows pointed out, they've been made to look daft in the past if they've missed out on a player they've said they're in for.
Burrows did a 15 minute interview that went up on the club YouTube the other week that was basically an appraisal of the past season, what went wrong and what their plans were going forward. He also indicated via Twitter that he's hopeful of bringing in at least 5 more players. Stephen Robinson did a 10 minute interview that again went up on the official YouTube outlining what sort of players he's looking for and giving an idea of transfer policy. So in that respect they're open with what they're trying to do.
As it stands we've already brought 5 players to the club so far with (I'd imagine) at least two more to be announced today.
Definitely not like us at all then! We have improved though...we now tell fans when we've actually signed established Prem players.

That's not how we do things under current tutelage...
Not an endorsement we're signing Scougall either. Hopeful, but, he's not short of options.
Fair enough. As bad as us by the sounds of it then.

Hearing there may be some news this week in relation to a new forward coming in.

I'd expect if Motherwell were actually signing the saviour of Scottish football/freed English 3rd Division player* then they would be making a bit more it than they appear to be.
*delete where inappropriate.

I think it's fair to say I definitely am. I try to justify it by there being worse things to be addicted too.
Needless to say I don't do much else!
You should start going to a few Saints games. That'll cure you.

Been to quite a few games over the last couple of weeks as the season rumbles on.
I genuinely think you're addicted to football Rab. It seems at times the standard of match doesn't matter, you just have to go to a game!

Last night Scotland Under-20's beat Brazil 1-0 at the Toulon tournament, a very highly regarded competition. Beating the Brazilians at any level is a massive achievement for us yet every time I've checked the BBC website last night or today the headline feature has been an Old Firm puff piece or a bit about a player in the English 2nd Division crawling to his new manager. The match report has been moved all over the place. What an utter disgrace.
That result and report should have led the way until tomorrow given f**k all else is happening in Scottish senior football at the moment. They were handed a rare opportunity to promote Scottish football and they've shoved it to one side to further promote their beloved bigots instead. Soul destroying doesn't even start to cover it.

Steven Naismith talking pish:
The Old Firm mindset just doesn't allow them to understand or believe that it makes absolutely no difference to the fans of the 40 other clubs whether it's Celtic dominating on their own or when Rangers were alive and challenging them. Having a bigot battle for the top two isn't going to stop fans of such as Saints, Ross County, Falkirk, Brechin, or Annan going to games.

Yes that's the main reason why David Wotherspoon isn't a Scotland regular.Point missed spectacularly. Well done.

I don't think most people have heard of Wotherspoon or are aware he is eligible for us.
That's similar to the SFA and St Johnstone in general over here.
