  1. The Beautiful South do an awesome cover of 'Blitzkreig Bop' It's on an album of covers called Golddiggers, Headnodders & Pholk songs. Largely forgettable apart from said Ramones cover and a rather nice laid back take on S-Club 7's 'Don't Stop'
  2. This is quite possibly the funniest thing I have read on this forum....
  3. Whoever bumped this thread back up, thanks - have spent a good few hours going through all the links, some seriously creepy and weird stuff in this world. Like a couple of previous posters mentioned, I have occasionally had the 'sleep paralysis' thing, but unfortunately for me I get the one with the 'Terrifying Hallucinations' which in my experiences always feel like I am being pulled at and clawed at by someone/something. Knowing that this is a well documented effect does not alter the fact it is an absolutely terrifying mind f**k of an experience, and I generally have to stay up all night with the lights on afterwards. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis
  4. Been to the Girvan Folk Festival a few times... seemingly it used to be a big event in the folk music calander but now is more like the Girvan 'I have a guitar and can play the first three bars of Freebird' festival... Always guaranteed to see some sort of altercation between local smackheads and earthy hippy types - most surreal
  5. Saw one a couple of years back in Glasgow which read 'Y4 BAM' None of the guys at work believed me until it was featured in the daily record when the guy put the plate up for sale...
  6. thanks.. will be fairly early as the intention is to do the 5 munro's in the one go :-)
  7. Thinking of doing the Ben Lawers range in the next couple of weeks, and as far as i can make out from various sources, the recommended start point is near Lawers hotel, starting from the Meall Greigh side. Can anybody tell me if there's any good spots to leave a car near the Lawers hotel?
  8. 'Skin' by Mo Hayder quite like her books as they are a wee bit darker than the average crime fiction, and a bit disturbing in places. That woman has some inner issues i think.
  9. Niagara - it;s a little indulgence of mine. I am aware it seems very poncy but f**k me, it's a good song and lets face it, you'd give her one, wouldn't you??
  10. no, 'in short' would simply be.. 'yes you can '
  11. although there is a kind of link , since Karl Urban was in Doom and Chronicles of Riddick.... (and to think he also has Lord of The Rings on his CV...)
  12. lucky baisturts... my wee lass never slept till she was nearly 3 !!!!
