You getting Lyons and Magennis mixed up? Lyons played most games under Kearney in his 6 months with us. I’d put him very much in the camp of the Kearney magical mystery tour of random signings. Didnt hit the heights of Popescu, but not a let down like Duckens. f**king hell, we had some amount of players that season!

From the games I’ve been to this season, teams are definitely targeting the space between Fraser and Gogic - possibly given Fraser isn’t the quickest? It’s been a bit of theme this season and back end of last season, from memory. Iacovitti is an interesting one - he’s definitely not going to add the same as Taylor from a ball playing or pace perspective. So is left of a back 3 the best place for him? in terms of attacking threat, we’ll see a player or two coming in. There’s probably two lists and it depends on whether we progress in Europe or not.

Probably a similar case to when everyone wanted Broadfoot to play in midfield all those years ago. Tried it and he was murder. Taylor is great on the ball, but I think being able to step in from the left of a back three gives him the space and the ability to see everything in front of him. Wouldn’t be so confident with his back to play. I think he really suits playing a back 3 because he’s gets that bit more space to drive forward. -
Yeah, don’t think the balance of our midfield and attack was right. For all I like CBM, pace/pressing/stamina isn’t his game. adeniran would have been a better shout at the base, while Idowu had one of those nights. Dont think Ayunga and Madron work as a pairing. Madron and Toy as the front pair right now. based on one showing, I’d say Brann were somewhere between Hearts and Rangers in terms of comparison to Scotland. However, very much looking forward to the second leg!
