  1. Not sure you want to keep missing tiddlers!
  2. Apparently Neighbours only continues due to the UK following. By all accounts, it's popularity is incredibly low these days over here. On the way out, perhaps? Yet another explosion at Lassiters that kills off the whole cast should do it. Until then, I will continue to watch.
  3. 3 birdies is a good return by anyone's standard. After a strong winter showing my team placed 3rd in Saturday's Texas scramble. Tee game wasn't quite there but rest of my game was decent, putted well and had a couple of 2s on my own. Good start and looking forward to this weekend's team event.
  4. I'd leave the pros to it. I don't really see any need to tinker with any rules that don't affect amateurs. I absolutely agree regarding ready golf and think this could drastically speed up General play. In terms of time taken for a lost ball, I see your point but 5 mins isn't really excessive. If folk are going to lose a tonne of balls then play will be slow whether it's 3 or 5 mins to find it. Personally, I'd appreciate the extra 2 mins to find my ball if I was on a score with a couple of holes to go.
  5. Do we have a confirmed running order? Listening to the Sky Sports Boxing podcast, Paulie seems to think he's co-headlining which would suggest he's on immediately before the big one?
  6. Remove any penalty for accidentally moving your ball - Potentially agree though could lead to issues such as removing loose impediments when ball likely to move Relax the protocols for taking free or penalty drops, with the ball dropped from only an inch above the ground, rather than shoulder height. - Bizarre. No Use fixed distances (20 or 80 inches) rather than club lengths to measure areas where a ball should be dropped. - Fine in theory but does a club not give some certainty over the distance for relief? Will we be expected to carry a tape measure instead? Reduce the time allowed to search for a lost ball from five to three minutes. - No way Allow putting on the green with the flagstick left in the hole. - Agree. Allow players to repair spike marks and animal damage on greens. - Agree Automatically allow the use of distance measuring devices. - Agree but local rules in force almost everywhere anyway Ban caddies from lining up players as they prepare to hit. - Disagree Recommend no player takes more than 40 seconds to hit a shot. - Recommend? A recommendation will do little to speed up slow players. Not sure how many folk spend over 40 seconds having addressed the ball regardless Encourage players in strokeplay to implement "ready golf" rather than waiting until it is their turn to hit. - Absolutely agree. This could speed up the game significantly IMO Empower committees to set a maximum score for a hole (such as double par or triple bogey) to allow a player to pick up and move to the next hole. - Not required. We already have the Stableford adjustment rule for bad scores. In strokeplay your score must be your score scored.
  7. You really have to question what the writers are playing at. Bringing back Dee is bad enough but bringing back a fake Dee with the same actress is absolutely mental. I hear she's back for 2 months, afterwhich I expect we'll have a short break before the real Dee appears with the usual amnesia story
  8. Strangely he seemed completely out of ideas as to how to finish Quinlan after taking the big shots. Don't think he was anywhere near his best tonight
  9. Thought Eubank would have had him out of there by now. Probably closer than I expected but 5 rounds up after 5 for Jr
  10. I don't think so. I reckon De Gale edged it until the knockdown. Could have went either way but certainly nobody was robbed. Draw probably fair.
  11. I don't think the Majority draw is a bad shout now! Some last round. And a good fight (ref aside)
  12. I've backed the draw. Although I think De Gale is edging it
  13. Early prediction from me. Majority draw. What's the deal with De Gale's mouth guard?! That's 3 times it's been on the ground
  14. Refs movement really is terrible. Hard to remember a referee getting in the road so often
  15. Good to see Davis become world champ. Saw him in Vegas last year and looked terrific. Outstanding prospect.
  16. How do they pull each other's hair with boxing gloves on?
  17. Delighted for Gassiev. Made hard work of it in the end but probably did enough to edge it.
  18. Gassiev looking good so far. Was at the eliminator vs Isiah Thomas in Vegas last year. Ended up a no contest due to Gassiev almost taking Thomas' head off well after the bell
  19. Price would have as much chance as your or I in that fight. Would be a total waste of time for both fighters.
  20. Realised last week I had only played 6 medals all season and hadn't played since 6 August. Made the effort to play last Wed, Sat and Wed. Finished in the money last Wed in windy conditions. Then on Saturday hit the ball like a champ but couldn't putt to save myself - 9 greens in regulation and 6 birdie chances from 10ft and in all squandered. Only managed a -0.2 down to 6.6 but should have been far better. Wednesday was a different story. Everything seemed to come together as I shot a 70-7=63 (CSS:70) so that's me down to 5.3. Having been stuck on 7 the last few years it's quite fitting that I played well and still didn't get to 6. Delighted to finish the season on a high. Down 1.7 for the year with 7 of my 9 medals being buffer or better. Regretting not playing more this season...
  21. Thought Burns boxed well against a difficult opponent. A lot of the rounds were close and open to interpretation. I had Relikh winning the first, a 10-10 for the second and then Burns winning each of 3-8. Gave the last 4 to Relikh so overall thought Burns deserved to sneak the win. Would probably agree about the knockdown, some referees would have counted that.
