  1. Anyone at a loose end on 10 June, the Greenock Open will be taking place. Course in fantastic shape and the prizes for the Greenock Open are hard to beat. Details below - The timesheet for the 2018 Greenock Open is now open for entries. This is a great time for this year's competition with the course in outstanding condition and the exceptional weather likely to continue. As usual, we have fantastic cash prizes in each section as well as an amazing array of spot prizes on every hole including a holiday to Portugal, a set of irons and £5,000 cash! Entry is just £12 and tee times may be booked directly at www.greenockgolfclub.co.uk or through the secretary. We hope you can join us!
  2. Heard a rumour it was Laurent Blanc. Potentially with Barthez as assistant.
  3. Played my first Wednesday medal of the season today. 3 over to the turn despite being awfully unlucky on the greens. Short missed putt on 10 led to bogey before losing my second shot left at 11 and running up a 7. Game went to pieces after that... 81 blows [emoji107]
  4. Mychal Kendricks released by the Eagles. Disappointed to hear this but i guess cap casualties are unavoidable
  5. I will be absolutely gutted if Netflix or AN Other don’t pick this up!
  6. Scratch that. The tickets we had last time seem to be £90 this time [emoji85][emoji35]
  7. Same pricing structure as the Soto fight. Don’t have a problem with paying the £70 though was a bit OTT for that fight
  8. Amazing the difference a couple of weeks makes!
  9. Geezo, only been here a month too. Unregistered firearm also found in the car. Expected to be released
  10. After a horrendous round in the team event on Saturday, I went up for 9 on our 9 hole course to exorcise the demons before work yesterday. Missed a 5 foot par putt on the last for an under par round, would have been my first for a couple of years. Disappointing!
  11. http://www.bunkered.co.uk/golf-news/r-a-and-usga-unveil-simplified-rules-of-golf New rules for 2019 - thoughts?
  12. If Taylor commanded a 3rd round pick, what should the Eagles expect for Foles? Apparently a first and a fourth package has been rejected already
  13. Wilder round 9 KO (14/1) Josh Taylor round 8 KO (12/1) Brook on points (15/8) Get the treble on.
  14. What time do we expect Groves - Eubank to be in the ring? I have a night out but going to try and nip home for it
  15. Enjoy it before the handicap comes down!
  16. New member offer that may be of interest for anyone in the Inverclyde area. If interested I'm happy to refer you and you can have the extra £50 off.
  17. Decided to ditch my 15 year old MX15 irons and get fitted for the JPX 900 Forged. Should receive them shortly, hoping for a strong finish to the winter league and a good start to next season!
  18. Humberto Soto. Underwhelming to say the least. Can't see that coming close to selling out the Hydro. Will attend, however.
  19. Only other name I can possibly see is Crolla who might take a decent following. Would he take the fight at Super Lightweight?
  20. As it's at the Hydro I think you'd need to assume it's not going to be a title shot. McGuigan had already suggested Catterall wouldn't be his next opponent but, regardless, as the champ you'd have to imagine he'd look to have that fight in Manchester or the likes. Can't see Cyclone paying over the odds to take him here. It seems to point towards a finale for Burns. The timing is probably right with no obvious opponent for Taylor right now and Burns probably looking to get out the game with one final pay day.
  21. Burns?! Struggling to think who else it could be. Yeggit has a fight lined up already. Indongo a possibility? It was previously suggested that it wouldn't be Catterall. Given it's at the Hydro and you'd probably assume he'd need to travel for a title shot I think Burns is the most likely.
  22. I wouldn't bet on Khan beating anyone. More or less admitted his career is done in the States and that coming home to try and salvage something from his last few fights was his only option. Going into the jungle was obviously the first step to getting back on British screens, probably wise since he's done nothing in a boxing sense for about 2 years.
  23. Strongly rumoured that the Eagles will be playing the Jags in London
  24. Just spied this thread now. Managed to get return flights from Edinburgh to Stewart for £204 in September for a family event. Flight was fine and the transfer to/from Manhattan was very comfortable - probably closer to 80-90 mins than 2 hours at a reasonable cost of $20. Noted that the luggage wasn't weighed on the way out but (with most folk travelling hand luggage only) everything was weighed on the return and they were ultra strict on the 10kg limit. Saw quite a few screaming matches with one family in particular having to shell out $60 (?) per case x 4 for being over the weight. I'll definitely use again if prices remain low.
