  1. I tried something similar, with mixed results. Actually it was a total failure, never again. I just launch the remote onto the other settee now and she can't be fucked going over for it
  2. Join the club of which I am president. Watching Drive to Survive the other night and she was constantly having to stop and rewind bits she missed because she was talking over them. "I should stop talking, shouldn't I?" "Aye, that would be brilliant" *** TALKS OVER PROGRAMME MINUTES LATER ***
  3. The Kirrie team was binned years ago (2011ish I think). There just wasn't enough interest. There was talking of there being a Strathmore 3rd XI but I don't think it came to anything. The "wicket" there was absolutely comical, with more than one side turning up and asking "what the f**k is this"
  4. He's probably drunk and hurting after yet another sore one for blue bigots.
  5. Newcastle fans waving thousands of white flags seems highly appropriate tbf.
  6. Why are Rangers fans so obsessed with "paedos"? Its utterly bizarre. They've even had at least 3 posters here emptied because of it recent years. AFTW weirdos.
  7. Newcastle could play until midnight and not score. Abysmal lack of threat up front
  8. Surely Rangers fans simply have to accept they are completely inferior to Celtic and have been for their entire existence* A totally pathetic two trophies which have cost tens of millions of pounds and even one of them was only because Celtic made a completely hilarious appointment after Rodgers left. *obvs 2012 joke
  9. I played for Kirriemuir years ago (mainly to make up the numbers as they struggled for players). Generally the best bit was Tea where all the clubs in the league put on a cracking wee spread. Just the thing when you were nursing a monumental hangover. The worst aspect was playing in early September, with aforesaid monumental hangover, shivering like a shitting labrador. I was obviously terrible, but at least once fluked a 6 against a decent spinner and took a wicket without really having a clue what i was doing. It probably helped that I'd bowled two consecutive beamers immediately before. It was a good laugh though and a nice way to spend a Sunday.
  10. At least we know what happened to Detournement after his well-earned binning.
  11. If you could at least have the decency to bite AFTER I've referenced you, that would be just lovely.
  12. Ach, he must have tripped and fallen out of the Covid thread again.
  13. I get that argument, but realistically speaking, even 6 months or a year from now you'd still have the same binfire of potential candidates to choose from. For her to resign in that manner suggests to me she'd absolutely had enough of fighting the lunatic Alba wing, and the relentless series of baseless accusations from moonhowlers. Add to that an almost completely hostile press/media and having to deal with the sheer idiocy of DRoss every other day, I'm amazed she stuck it out for so long.
  14. This is some hill to die on. 1. They can't just call an election. Holyrood rules don't allow for that in remotely straightforward fashion. 2. "Ifs, buts and maybes" are irrelevant straw men here. The simple fact of the matter is that the process of choosing Scotland's First Minister has to be voted upon by all MSPs. The process of choosing the UK's Prime Minister does not.
  15. It's not effectively the same system at all. The Holyrood chamber votes on its First Minister, the House of Commons does not.
  16. Erm, does the UK parliament choose the PM? Sunak and Truss were put in place by the Tory membership. Did the entire HoC get a vote on them being PM? I thought they just became PM by default as Tory leader.
  17. As much as we laugh at/pity the various losers and their sock puppet accounts, this is genuinely risibly stupid stuff from Lex. I've never quite understood why outing yourself as an utter thicko is considered a good trolling tactic.
  18. Public services give the impression of being monumentally shite because very few people ever take to Social Media or the like for any other reason than them having a bad experience. Folk tend not to post up or talk about services they received which were either good, or simply met expectation. People malign public services for many reasons, sometimes the service isn't great, mostly I think it's because they have completely unrealistic expectations and think a Council Tax rise means they should get their own personal binman. In terms of public service experience: GP - Absolutely no issues at all on the tiny handful of occasions I've needed them. My partner has a long term condition so she sees them more often, but again absolutely no issues with them at all Hospital - Last time for me was 2012, after dislocating my ankles playing fives. I'll assume my experience was good as I was on morphine so everything seemed amazing. My partner's experience maybe not as good although the consultant she's been waiting on is in a really specialised area so there's a long list Police - N/A GOVUK stuff - the website is generally fine tbh. Local Council - Average. I work for them so I know full well what areas are total binfires and what aren't. Their internal and external IT systems are shite Public Transport - Not been on a bus for years, used Scotrail a few times for training courses in Glasgow and had no problems or delays at all. DWP - Largely shite, which is not surprising. SSS - Awful. I'll give them some leeway as they are still a new body in the scheme of things, but dealing with them through work is complete and utter torture. However once they've ironed out these flaws they should be OK.
  19. I think the debates will be a bit of a laugh. I can see Regan have a complete cranial detachment at some point. She seems something of a total moonhowler and gives off heavy vibes as the sort of boss who throws stuff at her assistants. Humza will be fairly bland, as one would expect. Forbes might actually come across OK depending whether or not the audience is filled with Alba-da types or not.
  20. Yousaf was meeting with the Pakistani consulate over a death penalty case at the time of the vote was he not? Had he rubbered that and voted for the bill in Holyrood instead the headlines from the Daily Heil would have been along the lines of: MUSLIM MSP CONDEMNS SCOT TO DEATH IN PAKISTAN TO VOTE FOR GAYS!!!!
  21. You don't. Just wait until the wee fucker puts food in it's wheel, then runs in it. That's good fun.
  22. She stated she would have voted against Equal Marriage, meaning she would have been more than happy to use her position as an MSP to force her ridiculous, outdated and shite views on others. Feel free to post some other links literally no one is interested in though.
