  1. Top day all round yesterday. Managed the game well, scored two, clean sheet, three points, about fifteen pints and a kebab. Farrell sounded fairly spot on in his post match interview and great to hear he's looking for another striker as we do look light numbers wise. I wouldn't be averse to him releasing / replacing C Wilson either. Unfit, overweight, off form, ineffective and a waste of a jersey. With a small squad we can't really afford passengers. Pleased again by Brett Long, particularly his reaction saves. Byrne showed up well and took his goals well. If he was slightly quicker I think he'd be a real talent. Certainly a useful player and different from Wallace. Ally Love impresses me consistently. McLean and Orsi were both useful and I like that we're playing with two wingers. Won't see the Rovers game as I'll be abroad but hopeful we can take the points.
  2. But for god's sake don't move the tables around...
  3. Yes but my season ticket only gets me into the rock, not rugby park.
  4. Bloody hell! Does everything we do have to be over analysed and taken to the worst conclusion? Can we not just give the odd bit of credit? What kind of p***k would take out a standing order for a season book, then cancel it when they go on a losing run? And how would the club even track that? Are Antonia or Leslie having to sift through every transaction on the dfc bank account monthly to ensure all DD tix are paid and start a list of non payers/chase them for payment/blacklist them from future buys (whatever the hell that means)? Come on to f**k, people. Yes, the owners are shady property developers, yes the manager is questionable and yes we were relegated, but Christ, not everything is a negative. Sometimes the club can offer a positive commercial option and because they have a very small office staff just don't advertise it all that well in amongst the 9000 other things they have to do to keep a professional football club running on a less than skeleton staff.
  5. Also used this option for mine. Great value from the club, interest free, zero hassle and probably should have been more widely publicised.
  6. Must say the social media output from the club has been much improved recently in both quality and frequency.
  7. I feel quite the opposite. I've always been dead against the black out. I was delighted when an unexpected upside to COVID was it being lifted. Sadly they are reinstating this pointless and outdated rule and I don't think it makes much difference to crowds at our level as clubs like ours are followed by the same people week in and week out regardless. We should be able to sell streams if we like. Pointless bureaucracy. We've discussed all this on here before, of course, and as I said then, I didn't enjoy the streams as it was disassociating to be watching the game from home and pixellot is a generally poor viewing platform, but I still firmly believe we (nay all) clubs should be able to sell streams to viewers anywhere.
  8. Maybe he'll be tasked not just with following the ball, but specifically analysing player tactics, movement and off the ball work, which isn't conducive to highlights package.
  9. I think we're all getting a wee bit worked up here. It matters not a jot how stylish or not the season tickets look. The new cards definitely look a bit more polished than the traditional stapled raffle ticket books, but whether they are a booklet, a business card, a plastic digital card, a QR code or a scan of your retina doesn't really matter as long as they get you into the ground to watch a game.
  10. Season tickets are a wee cardboard business card as a "temporary measure until the new online digital database can be set up". You also get a free pen.
  11. See Jim Chapman has been appointed manager of Kilmarnock FC Ladies.
  12. I like Orsi. I feel he has a bit of arrogance about his play and sometimes brings an urgency and directness to us, particularly if we're flat and he comes on from the bench. Not always the most productive or defensive, but that's true of wingers the world over (with the possible exception of Mark Gilhaney, who got up and down the right wing brilliantly, but maybe wasn't always super productive at the sharp end, though made up for it in tracking back).
  13. Looking forward to it. I felt we were close in the league cup match, with (imo) Sons just shading the first half and Binos rightly winning with a more dominant second half display. The team we've picked in recent friendlies and the Raith league cup game suggests the team we'll be leaning toward when we play Stirling next Saturday (hopefully), and it's a different lineup than the one which Stirling faced at the rock the other week. Sadly new signing and fast fan favourite Finlay Gray is ineligible for this match, which is a shame as he's been a man to watch of late. Hopefully Albion can put their off field issues behind them and we can see a nice competitive match. Keen to get back to the proper football now.
  14. There would seem little logic in seeing Lynas play well at RB and Carswell play well at CB and therefore deciding "let's play them both out of position and hope that makes the LB better". The sensible option is to let Wylde and McNiff fight it out for the number 3 rather than tear apart the backline.
  15. Good performance tonight. We tired second half but still defended excellently and put in a few breaks now and then. First half we matched them. Decent game, plenty of positives.
  16. I'm going to make a frighteningly accurate prediction that C Wilson will be playing in the juniors (or equivalent) / amateurs soon.
  17. This was posted before the penalty shootout where he saved 2 and reached another that went in. Boy might have a genuine shot at first choice keeper.
  18. Callum Wilson has the same physique as me. Except I'm 6' 2", nearing 40 and not a professional athlete. His fitness level is shocking. Whole team otherwise played well first half. Lynas, Blair, Orsi, Wallace, McNiff, Buchanan, Gray all did bits of note.
  19. Looks like a 442 with mcniff at left back
  20. The T is grand, the weather is grand and after a graft today, I'm looking forward to a semi meaningless defeat to Raith. Mon the Sons.
