  1. What i meant by that is the gradualist idea of further devolution until scotland is at a point where **another** Scotland Act just isn't feasible. I think the Lib Dems have published a report on their proposals, with Labour and the Tories likely to do so later in the year.
  2. Further devolution is happening after a No vote because the 2012 Scotland act won;t be fully implemented until 2016. I;d expect further proposal from the Unionist parties to be for after this date 9which would ahve to be the case any considering getting the bill through both parliaments) I'd like to see a poll asking people what further things they would want devolved. can you expand on this a bit?
  3. There is a theory that a 2nd question on further devolution - which we understand is the most popular option for the Scottish people - would have been a face saving measure for the SNP, instead of the potential issue of independence being off the table for a generation. It also works itself into the "gradualist" school of thought within the indy movement, where further devoltuion happens until it really is indepdence or nothing.
  4. H_B has posted on this hunners of times - The Edinburgh Agreement (in his view) was a blunder for Salmond and a win for Cameron becuase he doens;t think Yes can win a single question referendum on independence, which was effectively the only concesssion Cameron didn't give.
  5. Depends on what sort of job your going for - 2.1 is the minimum for a lot of grad schemes. I rememberwhen I was at Uni about 4 years ago there was astat doing the rounds that people with 2.1's outearned people with firsts, although this was chalked up to firsts staying in academia as they clearly excelled at it.
  6. Aye I've been following your story mate. Tbh i wouldn't even give her the time fo day to explain anything. She wanted out of your life, give it to her. Don't let her try to expalin herself to feel less guilty or whatever. My two cents.
  7. What''s happening today mate? And roverthemoon - hear hear!
  8. "Mr Yousaf told the committee the UK government may wish to retain its existing presence and expertise East Kilbride after independence. "I have no aversion whatsoever to DfID having a continued presence in Scotland post-independence, if they want, for the continuation of projects," he said." That doesn't really make sense, I assume what is more likely is that people at DfiD would be transfered elsewhere in the Scottish Civil Service - like a Scottish foreign office perhaps? Edit to add - on the further assumption that a scottish DfiD wouldn't have the same level of staffing as itd be delaing with a reduced budget.
  9. properly sorting things out - as in arranging what happens now after living together or joint bills and the like, or is this a closure chat whilst didivng up DVDs? if its the latter I'd really suggest just leaving it for now.
  10. Why are you seeing her? I'd suggest just keep some distance just now unless it;s absolutely unavoidable.
  11. I'm happy to take PMs as well guys. I have no formal experience or anything, just happy to lend an ear.
  12. I think he was fantasy casted as Batman in a "Dark Knight Returns" movie as well. He'd be great. I loved the Batman Beyond concept, I think at one point (before Batman begins) it was a direction Warner Bros considered going live action. I'd like to see it resurrected in the comics or on tv at some point. Plus Paul Dini = legend. Anyways, here's a link to some other Batman films that never happened - which one would you have wanted to see? http://batman-news.com/2013/07/04/10-batman-films-that-almost-happened/
  13. That'd be very cool actually, although potentially confusing while the pther DC films pursue another universe. The story arc "a Knight in Bludhaven" would eb worth ripping off for a Nightwing film. It;d also be a good way of getting around the Robin problem by simply skipping over that period. A proper street level "gritty" Daredevil series would be excellent.
  14. A netflix Daredevil series has me hugely excited. Forehead7 is the other Daredevil fan on here like to hear his thoughts. A Nightwing standalone film would actually be really interesting, simply because there'd be this backstory that'd be a bit different from other superheri films. Batman v Superman is starting to sound like a bit of a clusterfuck.
  15. Are you speaking to anyone Raidernation? Be it a friend or a professional?
  16. Interesting enough to start a seperate thread perhaps?
  17. Happy to see this thread revived. In honour of it I broke my PB on deadlifts last night. #dece
  18. I don't think it's a thread people should be taking off topic, clearly people use it to vent and could do with back and forth posts like that.
  19. It'd be interesting if they did it and stuck to it. We've seen the better English sides experiment with a back 3 before ( City under Mancini mainly) but it's never been a first choice formation for a top 6 side. The problem however, is Moses, who seems much more of a classic winger.
  20. Yesterday was interesting, with them effectively playing as a front two. When Coutinho comes back you could see Liverpool lining up in a 3-4-1-2 type dealy, perhaps with Glen Johnson and Enrique on the flanks.
  21. I thoght Skagboys is comfortably oen of Welsh's best works. The sense of drama is a bit different, but it was properly stomach churning at moments.
  22. This is genuinely one of the best threads I've ver seen on here (trolling aside) kudos to all the folk who opened up and all the posters offering their ear via PM.
