Here was me thinking Pie and Bovril was about sharing opinions. Whether I have coached at " his previous clubs" is irrelevant in my opinion. Maxi was previously at Rob Roy where they didn't have a home ground for 10 years. Next to no budget in terms of signing players etc. Pollok have had to cut back drastically in terms of financial support as everyone knows, but given he has a big backroom staff ...maybe one staying from previous regime at Newlandsfield ( I could be wrong again), the recruitment has been poor. Have always been of the thinking you build a team through the middle ie Goalkeeper, Centre back, Central Midfield and a Striker... When Pollok were winning silverware on a regular basis, they had a gentleman ( Rab Sneddon) who was second to none on the training sessions with Maryhill ( and no big backroom staff from my experience), but could Manage. I note you didn't post a criticism of the gentleman who watched the Darvel game or commented or reveal how Maxi bodyswerved the Talbot interview!...

Very honest assessment. Fans Forum also unhappy with signings, tactics and lack of motivation from the dugout.

Huge change in Giffnock fortunes since last season. At one stage were in the promotion pack and third top within a division which included Glenvale and Thorn. First Choice Goalie was out with an injury and the then Management took the opportunity to play their young Under 20 Goalkeeper and improve on the form from the year before under previous officials. Management had everything in place for the move to new facility being built at Auldhouse, but their departure before the season ended has certainly come home to roost. Lost 7-0 today against a Knightswood FC squad ,who under new boss Michael Pender, have definitely improved from last season. An excellent mixture of players who know what the Club is about and strengthened with some experience.

Danny has done more than a decent job over 4 seasons.. interim management announced. Good set up there too.

Re Blantyre Appointment. Could be linked to matters outside of football. And on Paterson and Smith, we both know exactly what happened. You certainly have went to different levels in the game since those years ago

Peter. It wasn't a rumour... Came from the gentleman himself... Apparently the Club have had a change of mind on this appointment for reasons they will explain no doubt. As you will appreciate, there is always another side to an issue in Management... Cast your mind back to Willie Paterson and Scott Smith leaving Glencairn....

Young Chris played a game at Caledonian Locomotives last season before his time at Glencairn. Good set up there under Manager Joe Pryce. And they do have an experienced Goalie Coach to take him onto the levels required for the League. Bud is a great guy and a gentleman. I am sure another Club would be keen to get him on their backroom staff. These things do happy when a new Manager is appointed. I wish both every success.

Goalkeeper Chris White has signed for the Glens. And disappointing to hear Goalkeeping Coach Kevin Budinauckas has left the Club
