  1. I don't disagree with the sentiment in terms of us getting 2 good years out of Spittal. However, I'm sure he's someone we'd much rather keep than not and it's not as though it's one of the city clubs who have come in for him. Are we really at a point where we can't even compete with St Mirren (and other similar sized clubs) in terms of wages?

Obviously this is all just P&B chat just now and I might just be yelling at the proverbial cloud but the point stands given that, if rumours are to be believed, we've already lost out on Main to Dundee and Scott to St Mirren.

    Wait...what?

    That's not Kevin van Veen?

In all seriousness though, he's played at a decent level most of his career so must have something about him. However, I like to think I have a good amount of useless football knowledge through playing FM, FIFA, etc. and I couldn't even tell you what position he plays or how he's going to fit into our team.

Courier saying you wanted Zak Rudden on loan as well as every club in the Championship except Dundee United. We've knocked you back though because we don't want him playing for a divisional rival. Dunno how true that is, but that's what the Courier is saying.

I'd put Rudden in the same bracket as Connor Shields. Does a job at Championship level but completely out his depth in the Premiership.

If that's the level we're looking at just relegate us now.

It's definitely not what I'd do but as we often say, self-belief and confidence are one of the many reasons he's a professional footballer. The fact Goss - with his CV - felt he could turn down guaranteed security to see what came up before landing in Greece sums it up really.

Elliot might be great but even if not, he will be - at the very least - confident that he's got the probable safety net of an A-League team making an offer should he return there with his tail between his legs.

Just had to Google Sean Goss to see where he ended up. For some reason I thought he'd went to India.

Kind of get that. He obviously wasn’t liked by a fair few of our fans but it’s clear he knew where the net was. Our only two natural scorers gone.

However easier to replace Wilkinson than Biereth that’s for sure.

This is a large part of our current problem. We're more likely to get someone on a par with Wilkinson than Biereth.

Like others, I don't think Wilkinson was as bad as a lot of our fans made out. However, if he was still here I wouldn't be thinking that with Biereth away at least we still have Wilkinson.

Feels like we either push to boat out for KVV or accept we're finishing in the bottom 2.

  6. I'd be happy enough with Halliday. Solid if unspectacular, knows the league and will do a job filling the gap left by Slattery. Let's face it, he's another body to keep Barry Maguire as far away from the first XI as possible.

I'd also be more than happy with Main. For all his limitations as a player he'd almost certainly offer more than Obika, Shaw and (possibly) Wilkinson have this season. His goal to make it 3-0 in the Scottish Cup semi final against Aberdeen is also one of my favourite moments supporting Motherwell.

  7. Having now had a bit of time to reflect on the video, it still makes me turn inside out with cringe. However, with it approaching almost 2m views on Twitter alone it's certainly had the desired reach.

I'd obviously love it if it prompted some bored millionaire somewhere to chuck a few (hundred thousand) quid our way but I'm still dubious.

You don't ask, you don't get I suppose.
