I can live with a few stinkers, it's the nature of our level, but what's hugely alarming is the problems were recognised by everyone... Wilkinson sole striker, the eggs in the basket of binning all wingers etc.

I'm not going to call for SK to be sacked any time soon even if results don't improve. Getting out of the doom loop of surviving with a large credit card bill which leads straight into a new relegation battle requires the tolerance of a bad season.

But if the next two don't show improvement, he seriously needs to rip it up and start again, and go into January aiming for a complete refresh.

Why do I feel like we've been saying something like this every season for years?

There's obviously lots of stuff other than pure ability- mentality, physicality etc- but nobody will ever convince me that Lewis Ferguson is the most gifted midfielder born in Lanarkshire in 1999.

I didn't think that Celtic was a terrible move at the time either but in hindsight it seems that the route Ferguson has taken would probably have served Turnbull better too.

Putting aside my disdain of Celtic (and Rangers), I can see no reason from a footballing perspective for a young Scottish player to move to either of them. It's about the most unadventurous move a player can make. Scud everyone domestically while routinely getting scudded in Europe - what can Turnbull be learning there (supposing he even plays)?

A move to Germany, Italy or elsewhere in Europe would have been much better for his development IMO, as the likes of Hickey and Ferguson have shown. Trying to be unbiased, I'd say Turnbull was better than both of them during their time in Scotland but both have since surpassed him by trying a different country while Davie has barely kicked his own arse at Celtic.

Someone mentioned Ghost Watch earlier when I was talking about Halloween stuff.

This is the creepiest theme tune of all:

For some reason my dad would let me stay up and watch this as a kid when my mum was at work. He would then moan that I was wide awake all night.

My bedroom window faced out on to the road and every time a car's headlights shone in the window I was convinced I was being abducted by aliens.

  4. Seen a few replays of the red card. Contact looked minimal but there was no real complaints from Miller so there must have been something in it.

Looks like we'll just need to sit in for the 2nd half and try and sneak a point. I'd even take off Bair for a midfielder. Let's face it, none of our strikers will score so we may as well match Livi over the rest of the park.

Neil Warnock is a bit of a legend down Sheffield way is he not? They should punt Heckingbottom now and get him in.

They'll still go down but they'll go down with a bit of fucking discipline.

Warnock is coming up on 75. In charge of this lot he'd be lucky to see 76.

I’m going nowhere near the match thread. Those morons must be on overdrive today! Got so many of them blocked now it must account for half their away support!

Whilst some of his link up play and touches aren’t terrible, I’m fairly confident Theo Bair will never score another goal for us.

Was a bit conflicted with the booing of Dunne initially, but his tackle on Biereth has had a major impact on our season and by the time he’d chucked himself to the ground at the end I was booing him myself!

Blocking 8500 of them is some going tbf.
