  1. It's started already, Labour & KS would've been better abstaining! I see this being the line of attack until the next GE - "Starmer's a remainer, always was, always will be" and will take us back into the EU by the back door if you vote Labour.
  2. Here's an icy blast from the past.... ......I likes to nurse my grudges!
  3. Was informed a wee while ago otherwise I'd have been checking for team news at 7pm tonight... In my defence I was working Sat-Tues so was not really following the pre-match build up.
  4. I'd have preferred it JG had said OF instead of Rangers but I suppose it's in the context of tonight's game.
  5. Both of them , but just to show I'm not saying my team aren't wee here's how I rate teams Tier 1 - Celtic & Rangers Tier 2 - Aberdeen, Hearts & Hibs Tier 3 - FT teams Tier 4 - PT Teams Obviously in Tier 3, for example, there are differences between bigger FT teams like Dundee Utd. Killie & Motherwell & smaller ones like Ayr, Morton & QotS but my point is that clubs in each tier have more in common with each other than the clubs in other tiers.
  6. No positives from relegation AFAIC for a diidy club like Saints the best we can hope for is a major Cup win and that can only happen if we're in the top flight - this season is a prime example 3/4 of the remaining clubs in the LC are diddy clubs but all from the top flight. Seasons in the Championship are just wasting time since we won the Challenge Cup back in 05/06.
  7. Fishing was always an, erm, red herring, it was part of the emotional argument "we're an island nation" during the referendum but when you looked at it's actual portion of the GDP (0.1%) it was easy to shaft in the Deal incurring little financial consequences - was anyone surprised?
  8. As ever the problem is finding a neutral viewpoint I'd suggest this might be one....

    Led Zeppelin

Rock and Roll Black Dog The Immigrant Song The Rain Song Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin at the BBC) ******************** The version of Stairway, my favourite, on Led Zeppelin at the BBC was recorded before IV was released, so the audience would've been hearing it for the first time - if you want to hear the sound of jaws hitting the floor, wait for the end of this version!
  10. It looks like we're still giving away 75% of the fish we don't like but Boris has reduced the transition period by 6 months - top negotiating! ****************************************** Having said that I might have it all wrong as The Sun says he's played a blinder and compares him to Winston Churchill... and What else can you say but Hail Boris, King of the World!
  11. The biggest lie this week was from Priti Patel when she said the government had been "consistently ahead of the curve" when dealing with the pandemic - and again she got away with it unchallenged.
  12. Being splashed across the media that a Brexit deal is imminent. Will we have taken back control?
  13. A Brexit extension would no doubt be a boon with the current deterioration with regards to the pandemic but does anyone seriously think that we won't be back here when the new deadline looms? That said a three month extension so that the vaccine program is well underway and (hopefully) spring brings about an additional drop in infections should be a no-brainer.
  14. I agree Wright'd likely have been a better appointment, and maybe he's the exception to my rule, however as others have said it could br he's holding out for something better. My point is aimed at those only considering Hughes' spell at Raith - any old lag is bound to have a mixed record.
  15. In this situation you either go for an "old lag" or an "up & comer" there didn't seem to be an outstanding up & comer and you're not gonna get an old lag who doesn't have a chequered record - speaking with my Saints head on let's hope it's Rover stylee Hughes rather than ICT.
  16. How new is a strain which first started to show in August anyway - given the the pandemic is still only 13 months old?
  17. Northern Ireland’s spiralling Covid-19 cases are due to the “failure of society as a whole”, the first minister has said. Arlene Foster also singled out Sinn Fein for criticism, claiming the attendance of senior figures at IRA veteran Bobby Storey’s funeral in June, at a time when strict limits on numbers were in place, had damaged the public health messaging. Her remarks came after Sinn Fein deputy first minister Michelle O’Neill accused the DUP of ignoring public health advice around lockdown decisions last month. Foster said: She said people needed to take personal responsibility for their actions in the time ahead. “We are facing very, very difficult times across Northern Ireland,” said the DUP leader.
  18. According to the Grauniad lorry drivers are going to be banned from having meat & dairy products in their foodboxes... Lorry drivers heading to EU face ham sandwich ban | Brexit | The Guardian
  19. A prize for the P&Ber to hear "you don't need a face mask now they've started vaccinating" used as an excuse.
  20. Looks like NI is going into lockdown on Boxing Day for 6 weeks...
  21. I presume it is or you wouldn't have said so - now calm down and listen to some Killing Joke!
  22. Whole game on Sky 422 (one of their free channels) tomorrow at 3pm.
