  1. We all know Fish has a Heart of Lothian!
  2. We'd totally revamped our squad in January 19 and although it took until March before we turned the corner in terms of results we were already looking coherent on the pitch by the end of February. Oh and yeah Livi are done!
  3. I said as much at the time Warnock was appointed but the Dons fans assured me I was mistaken.
  4. As the old saying goes how do you make a small fortune from football? Use it wisely Hibs -send some of it our way!
  5. We've said it before, there's very little between the teams in this division except for the cheeks and to an extent Hearts this season so every game is a struggle for 1 or 3 points. Let's get something from the Dons on Saturday, and to contradict myself ever so slightly, we'll likely go into Killie game with the potential to go 4th - there's a lotta thrills and spills left in this season. COYS!
  6. Don't often darken this thread but came across this in the Grauniad sports section about Murray's first round win..
  7. Torn between "One game at a time" and that we must at least match Killie over the next two game so that a win on March 16 would see us leapfrog them in the table.
  8. Are the SNP to have no global policy? Will it change anything - the eternal response of cynics. All we know is that Israel micro-analyses everything about Gaza down to the lyrics of their Eurovision song entry so I think it is worthwhile.
  9. Mary Poppins is now rated PG due to discriminatory language, namely the term Hottentot which is used twice in the fillum. Edit
  10. 192-5 - India win the Test and Series. England didn't have the ability/technique to grind out 200-250 in their Second Innings (possibly a by-product of Bazball) and as mentioned the decision to open the bowling with Root last night was, erm, eccentric.
  11. I thought there was an agreement whereby the visiting club was held responsible for damage done by their fans.
  12. India to chase 192 in the Fourth Innings - 2/3 overs tonight.
  13. England currently 135/8 (181 ahead) - nailbiting finish ahead?
  14. Trump (60%) beats Haley (40%) in her home state (!) but she seems to have backers willing to keep her challenge going presumably in the hope Trump's situation totally blows up in his face.
  15. Congrats to Joe Root but 219 balls to make a century - what's that all about?
  16. Good, let's have the debate again and a vote on an immediate ceasefire and not the mealy mouthed Labour ploy of a "humanitarian ceasefire" which is just a way of saying support the status quo. Hopefully the debate will now place Labour under even greater scrutiny - G'day Kier!
  17. Lettuce Liz on the grift to the Murican far right complaining about how the Deep State stiffed her. Britain’s ‘deep state’ thwarted my plans, Liz Truss tells US far-right summit | CPAC | The Guardian
  18. While there was an element of politicking by the SNP in raising the motion, they have had a constant position since October, calling for a ceasefire which it wanted to reiterate, while as I said Labour's amendment to a "humanitarian ceasefire" endorses the status quo and is effectively an oxymoron.
  19. Fairy Nuff but the latest indication is that the Labour amendment will be voted on first and no other vote will take place, as I said congrats to Labour but is anyone really fooled by their mealy mouthed amendment it's nothing but an endorsement of the status quo, cosying up to the Tories at Westminster is a step too far for me.
  20. A humanitarian ceasefire is just a continuation of the status quo but the SNP should accept that Starmer/Labour outmanoeuvred them on this occasion and accept the watered down motion - this toys out the pram stuff from the SNP allying themselves with the Tories is unedifying.
  21. Like to add Jim Dick whose best moment for Saints was baring his arse to the Morton fans during a 3-0 victory back in the 90s.
  22. I see Labour are going to table an amendment to the SNPs HoC motion tomorrow on Gaza calling for an "immediate humanitarian ceasefire" - don't we already have that with the IDF insisting their targets are all military, sophistry from Starmer & Labour.
