  1. It doesn't look like that transfers 's gonna happen now, a pity for us the transfer deal to Bolton fell through in the summer. I take no interest in international football but if I did I'd have realized there was a strong possibility this would happen and that we'd only have one transfer window to cash in on him. A pity all round because Baccus has been one of the more interesting surnames to have to played for us but it looks like he'll be leaving for free to deliver ecstasy and frenzied states elsewhere.
  2. England's win just shows that no matter how much Test Match cricket changes on the surface the old rules still apply and chasing 200-250 on a Fourth Innings pitch is never a gimme!
  3. The top story on Saints page that morning was about the possibility of Gallagher Lennon playing for Dumbarton against Rangers so they also got Neil Lennon & Celtic into the story - bliss!
  4. Not what I would call "nominal" but congrats, I'm sure it will help you in the Championship next season. Martindale deserves Manager of the Month for pulling off that deal!
  5. Apparently Martindale has said the fee will be "nominal" - for a guy who's just turned 28, is out of contract at the end of the season and has yet to score a league goal this season I'd say even that's too much.
  6. That was in the daze of cash turnstyles.
  7. Corporate criminals have nothing to fear from this government.
  8. Noticed Kwon got MotM by a margin - deserved?
  9. Yeah it kept the name but it's a more of a modern Deli with a different shopfront - I read an article in the Evening Times when the shop re-opened post pandemic IIRC it stated another two shops had kept their name when the business folded, there were more than 30 shops in the Glasgow area in the 90s.
  10. Fairy Nuff @HibeeJibee so on those polls (3 in 6 years) the total Unionist vote is currently holding steady with the DUP attracting votes from the more hardline Unionist parties. ****************** I note that in the current negotiations about a return to Stormont the DUP are focussed on the big issues my suggestion would be to call it the Union Jack Lane!
  11. There is a Public Sector in NI strike today partly down to the Stormont impasse, surely a continued non co-operation stance from the DUP will further erode their support amongst all but the hardliners.
  12. I'm not so sure, I'd expect (and hope) Trump's Marmite brand of politics will bring out the people to vote against him even without a charismatic Democrat candidate. I'm also not sure whether a Trump-lite candidate would work for the Republicans as for me the main reason people voted for Trump in 16 & 20 is that he was not lite.
  13. Love to see him back but I wouldn't want us to go beyond a season and a half.
  14. I note there hasn't been many killer words recently. By that I mean words like S*ore which could have many options eg c,h,n,p,t or w - it just kills you when you're left with 6 options and 3 guesses.
  15. Wordle 942 3/6 Goto first word Goto second word in this instance Obvious choice Never had a 1 2's always have an element of luck. This 3 was as good as it gets.
  16. I also felt a touch of nostalgia for the Henry Healy shops which used to be a feature of Glasgow at the time.
  17. Crystal ballin' but I don't reckon we'll finish Top6 and Robbo will be under pressure unless we get a good Cup run - not now but next season how many managers make it over 3 years these days? The problem with having a good season is that what would be acceptable becomes grounds for complaint just look around the division.
  18. St Mirren.info have broken our player records down alphabetically so 25 pages (no X, Y&Z combined but an extra page for the Mc/Macs Past Players | StMirren.info Bobby Ansell played 219 games without scoring and so I'm giving him the award without even looking at the Bs.
  19. Doncha long for the daze when the club leaked like a sieve and rumours abounded - Giza signing!
