  1. Exclusive footage has just emerged of elvis celebrating our league victory last season...
  2. Yeah, but they then passed it onto some Internet scammer.
  3. Stewart would have been nice, but I always thought his wages would be a little too rich for us. He's getting paid (a Scottish) fortune at B'ham and only Aberdeen were able to cover them on loan before. Killie with their sugar daddy will be able to cover those. Good signing for them too, and I understand why he's chosen Killie. So far we have 3 strikers; Mullen, Brock-Madsen and Cooke. I think we all agree Cooke may come good but he's not quite ready for first team just yet. How good Brock-Madsen will be, I honestly can't say. You couldn't tell in the Rangers game and the Aberdeen game was a write off. There is obviously the option for Miller, and I have to say I expect others to come into that. If a club like Hibs for example (not that I think they would, after all they have Kamberi/Maclaren who look very good) came in, and even if it was just a year's contract I reckon he'd take it. This is just conjecture but I feel if Stubbs wants to ensure he gets Miller he'll have to offer some involvement in the coaching. I'm not really too sure what I think about that. On the pitch Miller still has something to give, not as good as his previous years, but he'll score goals if he keeps fit. As for his personality? After listening to some of the stuff he's said, and how he's said it, on things like Sportsound doesn't really fill me with confidence he will be a calming influence - and falling out with his last two clubs so badly he's been huckled out of them. Personally I'd be looking to bring in players (or change formation) that stops us losing goals, once we get that sorted out we can get all worked up about who is up front.
  4. I think the days of massive open universe sims that rely on procedural processing rather than dedicated data are probably on the way out. No doubt aided by NMS. Elite Dangerous has a storyline of sorts but even then it's just an empty universe, a beautiful but empty universe. Star Citizen (if it ever comes out) has moved away from just existing in a universe and have implemented things like contextual PvP (as well as fleecing people of real world money for non-existent virtual spacecraft.. ). The technology to create these universes have always been around (as I say, 8-bit Elite .. while not procedural, it was seed based and featured 8x256 worlds to visit) but there hasn't really been the tech to power all these elements when the character isn't involved. Elite Dangerous keeps track of resources from 10's of thousands of planets at once, but that in itself doesn't make the place feel lived in. Where next? No idea. I think maybe the environments will shrink allowing more dedicated content that is applicable to the player's story arc rather than just being dredged up from a random seed.
  5. The rest of the Internet: "Please add some fucking content to this empty empty environment" Hello Games: "Em, ok, might take a while but leave it with us" .. some time passes .. Hello Games: "Right, try this...." Meanwhile, at forameus's house..
  6. So, the rumours seem to be based on the fact Stubbs was interested before he became Livi manager. He certainly doesn't dingy the idea though, what concerns me more is that the way he talks it's like it's up to Miller whether he comes to us, not Stubbs and/or the BoD.
  7. I think this is the issue, even back in the 8-bit days with Elite, you can have a vast universe with different planets and races, but ultimately if there is no content, well.. then there's no content. Now the NEXT patch has improved things but the old adage, "scratch the surface and all you'll find is more surface" is still pretty much true. What amazes me is that for what is now a 2 year old game, and one with a really bad PR, they are still whacking it out at an inflated price.
  8. https://store.steampowered.com/app/758330/Shenmue_I__II @ £24.99 Totally not my thing in the slightest, but thought I'd share the link.
  9. @Radford I see you linked the fixtures in your first post, do you want to add in a link to the table too? https://spfl.co.uk/league/rl1/table For those too lazy to click and have a desire to see St Mirren at the top (granted it is just one game!)
  10. Seeing as you've gone so far as to suggest that this is the case which candidate then? Not providing it would only underline most people's cynicism towards your initial claim.
  11. Maybe I'm a bit naive but I would have thought the rules would be checked before even discussing the loan. Kenny Miller incoming...
  12. Samson later seen disposing of a dart gun in local bushes..
  13. Stubbs should get stick for continuing to play Coulson at LB without a player directly in front giving him cover, he certainly shouldn't be given stick for bringing Coulson to the club.
  14. I thought King looked lively when he came on against Killie, but he just disappeared after that. Glad to see him on the up.
  15. He wasn't subbed, although I understand your confusion. The person responsible for game punditry only wanted to talk about Aberdeen.
  16. We are working at different levels so your offcasts are still of value to us. There is a question about the loan as I'm sure you've read. If it is a loan, and I'll be honest I'd prefer it to be just now, then fine. If it's not possible and Stubbs still wants to bring him in and Rangers want shot of him, what happens to the wages he'd accrue while at Ibrox? Meaning a payoff to get him off the bill, while in turn Rangers might expect some sort of fee to offset that.
  17. So is it a loan then, or a permanent deal. He's free to go as far as I'm aware but I doubt Rangers will let him go for nothing, especially as he'll have at least a season of Rangers wages to earn. We certainly won't be paying what they are. Or have we made idiots of ourselves and not properly checked out the rulebook resulting in a quick climbdown and another target identified.
  18. I agree not going in for Smith was disappointing, and while I'm less that enamoured by Hodson, he is an experienced player and someone who is definitely a full back. Coulson is not, and I get that after Stellios people will be wary of the "don't worry he just needs to be pushed forward to get the best out of him" when it clearly wasn't the case. We are playing Smith there just now and while he certainly provides a cutting edge you feel he is wasted a little being played out wide.
  19. You asked me the reason for it, I said you know the reason, not whether it's justified or not. I honestly don't know, and I wouldn't suggest I'm ITK. Eckersley's tweet didn't help, mind.
  20. I think you know the reason for that. The same for Eckersley. Listen it's up to the manager to make decisions on who does and doesn't play, and I'm fine with that. I thought he was more a midfielder who could play defence, it seems from most of the reports it's the other way round. If that is the case then maybe we don't need one. We certainly need to get our defence working as a solid unit though, that's not in question. I wasn't at the Aberdeen game and got absolutely no notification he was on the field or how he is playing because... well Willie fucking Miller, that's because. I don't think he referred to our players by name mostly just the position. Aberdeen players, why they were all given their Sunday name and the positions and styles of play were touched on regularly.
  21. Jones isn't a CH, Heaton isn't ready and MacKenzie is "injured". So, yeah, I'd say we do. That's not to say we couldn't do with a winger, as for strikers we have Mullen, Brock-Madsen, Cooke and Smith.
  22. Would be nice to have a defender with a bit of experience come in, I think that's what most fans feel is needed. Still, we have time before the window opens and while the loss to Rangers wasn't that bad, the loss to Aberdeen was and hopefully that will spur on both Stubbs and Scott to push for more signings.
