  1. What does heid bummer do and why's she not mentioned in the http://www.scotlandinunion.co.uk/our_team along with Archie McPherson. Not that I'm disagreeing that she's definitely pro union.
  2. Their argument (along with few others) was that the currency was overvalued anyway so the correction was overdue.
  3. Never voted Tory and doubt I ever will. Can't recall her ever backing Le Pen and she's right on the fact that the SNP are just cynically using the rape clause debate for politics when they have the power to do something about it. I understand why the SNP are doing it though. Their main fight is with the Tories and it's one way to show that they're still the nasty party.
  4. Money week has been fairly consistently pro brexit but during the referendum they did run features arguing the economic case for Scottish independence.
  5. I cry myself to sleep nightly. I'm a precious wee snowflake.
  6. I quite like Merryn but I do subscribe to Moneyweek. No doubt that makes me a Tory b*****d in the eyes of the majority on here.
  7. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/theresa-may-nuclear-weapons-first-strike-michael-fallon-general-election-jeremy-corbyn-trident-a7698621.html Surprised that this has not been more high profile. If North Korea said they would be prepared to carry out a pre-emptive nuclear strike the media would be going nuts. Isn't that what we're just saying?
  8. I find that most politicians and would be politicians are 'unusual'.
  9. No surprise that they're talking about raising the pension age to 70 again. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-39352654 It will keep on creeping up.
  10. The fall in the pound is certain to be part of the reason but it's not all down to brexit. You can't say it's got nothing to do with it either.
  11. Inflation creeping up. The government will like that. The public won't. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-39337909
  12. Stiff Little Fingers 40th anniversary tour last night at The Garage, Aberdeen. Great night as always.
  13. Unemployment is still coming down which is good news. Even better that Scotland isn't lagging behind as it has done recently. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-business-39278524
  14. Still more good news on the economic front so far. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-39049073 Still doing better than the doom mongers warned but of course with the caveat of not actually being out yet and the intervention from the bank of England just after the vote helping to 'calm the panic'. Will be interesting to see when the economy turns. They always do so it won't be long until we get to blame Brexit for it.
  15. I think I'll give it a miss tonight. Peter Whittle - UKIP, Ann Widdecombe - Tory, Owen Smith red Tory, Claire Perry Tory MP, Billy Bragg - Labour but rich Labour.
  16. How are they 'restructuring' the deal this time? They can f**k off. (I hope)
  17. Aberdeen don't offer free samples of food as we go into the stadium. Maybe that would swing the deal. Or maybe not.
  18. When you are calling other people cretin's (sic) it's best to make sure your grammar is spot on because some grammar Nazi will pull you up on it.
  19. The only one I'd kind of heard of was Gisela Stuart. She was one of the few Labour MPs backing Brexit. The Grady woman is a space scientist and according to the first line of wikipedia is also a practicing catholic. Don't know why catholics have to practice so much and quite surprised that a scientist would be a believer. Maybe she's seen something in the sky while looking through a telescope (and being on LSD) Arron Banks is a rich Leave.EU donor. Paul Mason isn't the ex Aberdeen footballer. He's a journalist. The other guy is a nonentity Tory.
  20. A line up of big hitters this week. David Lidington, Gisela Stuart, Arron Banks, Paul Mason (pretty sure it's not that Paul Mason though), Monica Grady
  21. Trade deficit surges to 12.1bn. Not good. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-38582681 Although on the bright side (but not headlined on the BBC. Found in the Business live section)
  22. Back this week. From Solihull. No idea who's on yet.
  23. Yet again I've not heard of the Labour and Tory on tonight.
