  1. Hamilton being held at arms length quite easily by Lancelot. If I was him I think I'd quit before the season finished.
  2. I got so caught up in scoring my first points in years. f**k.
  3. You made me google "theresa may cleavage" so yes, they are, and it's because they've done this before Theresa May proved to be quite a distraction during the 2016 budget - Mirror Online
  4. Week 17 update Two deaths this week. Up first, former hockey player Guy Lafleur: Hockey Hall of Famer Guy Lafleur dies at 70 following cancer battle: Justin Trudeau leads tributes | Daily Mail Online And now a more relevant memorial: What's surprised me the most - not knowing that much about him or that period of the NHL - is the sheer volume of people who've had things to say about him. He was French and played for the French team and had great hair and scored a lot of goals during a significant period in hockey history so he was obviously going to be popular, but just about every testament to him has mentioned how nice a person he was. Even though he was the most famous and popular person in the league I've seen many posts online about how someone met him and he was just nice, a normal guy who didn't act like a star. The same goes for post-retirement too. In terms of quantifying how good he is I can't really assess his ability. The good players in the 80s and before all looked like a time machine put them on the ice just because they can skate and shoot. If you just want pure stats, they work too. Lafleur played on the most successful team in NHL history until 1985. He has the second most goals for them, the most assists, and the most points. There are lots of related videos to the above on YouTube so if you fancy spending some time learning about someone who was just good, enjoy your Sunday. He also famously smoked in between periods and died of lung cancer, so also bear that in mind. Lafleur was 70 when he died so he's worth 55 Base Points. He was a Solo Shot for, er, me, so it's a total of 105 points. ============ Up second this week was a death I missed from a few weeks ago, children's television person Chelsie Whibley: Chelsie Whibley death: CBBC star dies from cystic fibrosis, aged 30 | The Independent Not much to go on from a paywalled site but she was 30, she was recently married and was told her condition would kill her by 16. A shite state of affairs all round, really. Whibley died at 30 so she's worth 95 Base Points for @Indale Winton, @Melanius Mullarkay and @sparky88. As a result, the standings look like this: 1. Bishop Briggs 458 2. Indale Winton 445 3. JustOneCornetto 431 4. chomp my root 403 5. sparky88 314 6. Ned Nederlander 313 7. Arch Stanton 302 8. gkneil 271 9. peasy23, weirdcal 259 11. 5. Motherwell somehow looked worse with an extra man. Impressive.
  6. I could see them being there all night if Selby sticks in it.
  7. Longest frame in Crucible history happening. Are you all watching the boxing?
  8. I love it when Selby goes into full shitfest mode.
  9. Series 4 Episode 5: Hammond wanted to buy a Dodge Charger but doesn't have enough money, so in Episode 4 they invited people to email in with jobs for him to get some. Mistress Goth got in touch wanting him to be her dungeon bitch. He's so short he won't have to be on his hands and knees, he'll just be a footrest. There was also a picture, but I get the feeling it'll be harder to find "Mistress Goth" online nowadays than it would have been in 2004.
  10. The stars seem to get one. Mike Bossy got a few last week.
  11. Selby getting fed his dinner so far.
  12. Fair point. I think I got a bottle for free once, there's no way I would pay money to drink low sugar fizzy juice.
  13. Can't say I've seen a pigeon at the snooker before.
  14. The teams conveniently group them up - engaging and funny vs. utterly fucking unbearable The Judi woman is apparently a comedian. God help us all
  15. Jeremy and Richard are having an argument about which car movie is better - Jeremy for Vanishing Point, Richard for Bullitt. No idea why Jeremy is going for the pseudo-intellectual option but he's so right.
  16. Series 4 Episode 3: The first of their cheap car challenges. Buy a car for under £100. James has an Audi, Richard has a rust-ridden Volvo and Jeremy a Volvo. I don't want to spoil this if you watch it but the ending of the scoring section with Jeremy's reveal might be my favourite moment in Top Gear history.
  17. He may well be lovely but Jack Lisowski seems like such a knob.
  18. Considering she was a CBBC actor I find it strange that there's no article about her on the BBC website.
  19. If you boys want a film about time travel that holds your hand, give this a try: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Primer_(film)
  20. I'm not sure you should be calling anyone lazy if it's taken you seven years to discover this.
  21. Something Awful is a very old website/forum with a... unique userbase. Last week, someone decided to sue the website because of how they were treated by mods and users. The thread about it is here: who is suing the SA forums in 2022 (fun starts on PG. 3!) - The Something Awful Forums "Many different users state that they do not like or want me posting" sounds like good inspiration for the gimps on here who occasionally threaten legal action.
