There’s a huge incentive to go and win on Saturday as qualifying could mean an extra player being able to be brought in. If we get our full backs sorted then it’s really all about getting depth in the forward areas. We do all that and I think we’ll have a good season.

Hopefully we can avoid the indignity of finishing behind a Jim Goodwin side.

It's not really retiring a number if it's only for a season though, is it?

We can't exactly name the stand after him for obvious reasons

I'd be OK with a statue on the corner of Somerset Road and Tryfield Place, i think that's a reasonable compromise

My preference is a massive mural on the inside end of the family stand depicting the moments after his winner in the playoffs at Brechin

I can see the argument for McGeady being on the bench, but I would just play him in the first half so he gets some game time with Rose.

Paddy had an actual good game last time out, so I wouldn’t be dropping him - let’s see if he can actually get a run going. We need to get McAliister some game time too.

Is McAllister going to be fit for this one?

it’s wild to think he’s been brought in with a view to Bullen getting the bullet in the short term and surely even the hard of thinking on this site don’t really believe that’s why he’s been acquired.

I agree, but I don't think there's any harm in people saying that. It's just a crazy theory that will be forgotten unless it happens.

Could I just say how annoyed, frustrated and pissed off I am with some of the Ayr fans attending Portland park today.

They were playing Troon. Not Real Madrid.

There is absolutely no need to bring Pyrotechnics to a small game like that. Some of the children who are involved with Troon FC were hit by a red pyro and have several burns on them.

Absolutely no need at all for it. I'm aware it's only a small minority of fans but it's pathetic. Yes, have a drink, yes, sing a song but ffs draw a line.

There have been a few children with burns on them, whether they be supportive of the opposition or not, it's a game of football!

That sounds like a police matter
