FWIW, despite my run of top ten finishes, last week was the one and only time I've ever topped the table.

I'm sure I'm missing something completely obvious here, so please excuse my ignorance - but what was to gain from having AS in jail?

Albert Roux - Done.

Did you sub her with Floyd Little?
Oops - turns out I dropped her two years ago - my bad.

Nice one. Reminds me of a joke on some sketch show: Accrington Stanley, one of the great names of English football. Shite team, but great name.
Who?

You'll have done the sums, Ned. Does Choirbairn usurp you? Always the bridesmaid.
Of course, 180 points - cracking pick that.

Zoe Davison, horse trainer has died. A Captain I'm sure for someone. She had two winners at Plumpton this afternoon as well!

Ha ha - cheers, I'm fairly sure he will have been well picked.

Not disputing he's dead, but if if he was to die and not leave a qualifying obit you might have dodged a bullet; it's not obvious that the BelTel is national enough to qualify for the rules.
I see, got you now - he was one of those convicted of the Omagh bombing so presumably he'll eventually get a mention over here.

So far only the Belfast Telegraph seems to have picked it up. Maybe you were right to drop him!
He's listed in a few sources now so it's legit.

It happens to everyone. I dropped a 33 year old captain (and solo shot) a couple of years ago. She copped it not long afterwards!
Of course ... as written in the Laws of Dead Pool:

Once the lists are revealed there will be an absolutely fucking obvious pick you missed.
Your nailed-on banker for a solo shot will have been picked by about ten other folk.
Someone you thought was obvious will be a surprise solo shot.
You'll share a deadly duo with a P&Ber you've never even feckin heard of before.
About two days into the year it will become clear that one (or more) of your picks is absolutely fitting fit and will see out the next two decades let alone the next year.
Someone you dropped from last years list will depart early doors.
Someone you nearly picked will depart early on.
Someone you thought was already dead will die.
Folk will pick folk that are already dead.
The Duke of Edinburgh will be the most picked in 2021.
The Duke of Edinburgh will be the most picked in 2022.

And the first of those pops his clogs:
Looks like it's been given as the 2nd of January.
One of those we hope don't rest in peace.

@Ned Nederlander as a short odds favourite - has he ever been out of the top ten?
I was 40th back in 2014 ... pretty sure that was my first time of entering.
Been Top 10 since then - and currently for 2020 - getting tougher though

Congratulations to the presumptive winner, @Bishop Briggs . Well played!
For the not so well-played, a big Nelson Muntz 'ha ha' to those of us who dropped multiple picks from the 2019 team, only to see them cross the line this year. Serves you sickos right!
@pub car king, in particular deserves a special mention; he dropped 5 picks, worth a total of 202 points. Had he stuck to his guns with Babs Windsor, Vera Lynn, Jack Charlton, Sean Connery and Olivia de Havilland, he could potentially have been this year's winner with 612 points. But he didn't, so he's not. So there!
