  1. Kingsley is a pleasure to watch. Good luck to him.
  2. Don't have a w**k before you go out. I noticed a big difference once I stopped.
  3. I was thinking exactly this earlier today while looking at the squad now Spence has signed. We lack presence in midfield and up front. I'd also like to see us bring some pace into central midfield.
  4. Just ordered a Garmin 800 including HRM and cadence sensor.
  5. McDowall isn't good enough. He's a decent enough number two. Nothing more. We don't need luck.
  6. 100 miles yesterday up to Crieff and then back over Dunning Common climb , over to Saline then home over the Clacks bridge. Seven hours in the saddle and suffering today. Training ride for two mates who are doing Lands End to J O'Groats in August. Rather them than me!
  7. The fans on the Zoncolan were as mental as I've seen in cycling. What about the guy in the full bride's outfit complete with flower posey. I liked when one of the riders grabbed a fan's glasses off his face, cycled on a few yards then threw them away.
  8. I went to it and watched the women's then men's races. Really entertaining. Great circuit.
  9. Can't say I'm over the moon about this one. Has ability and pace (or maybe not now ), but inconsistent and often injured if I remember correctly from his time at Falkirk. Having said that with Cawley also signed our attacking options are already as good as they were last season.
  10. Indeed, my emphasis was on 'looked'.
  11. Sensational. What an exciting talent he is. Even on the steeper bits near the end of the final climb his pedalling looked effortless.
  12. I hear we are lining up matches against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid for the first eleven.
  13. Got round the Etape Caledonia in just over 5 1/2 hours on Sunday. Delighted!
  14. What the f*** has happened to the two of them? Missing simple balls over pockets.
  15. 68 miles in that wind yesterday. Easily the hardest ride I've done. Last 20 was into the wind home from Kirkliston; thought I'd never get back. Must have done me the world of good for the Etape Caledonia.
  16. I can't see why he wouldn't get a good reception given what he did for us, but every club has its share of idiots, and we are no different. Generally I think he will get a good reception and the fans will make a point of cheering Barry Smith.
  17. Delighted to see his medical condition has been cured.
  18. Water stations every twenty miles I believe. I'll take two bottles anyway.
  19. Thanks all. I'll take it onboard. Hadn't thought about sandwiches, and certainly not about a Scotch egg. I've read that you should eat something every 45 mins, even if you aren't hungry.
  20. Nutrition advice anyone? Cycling the Etape Caledonia in May. First time I've done an event of that length (81miles). Read quite a bit, but needing some simple rules.
