  1. Just when you think wasps1 couldn't get any thicker, he comes along and proves you wrong. Fair play. [emoji23]
  2. Looking at Trouts league goal scoring stats last season, he scored 10 league goals, 5 of which were penalties. For his non-penalty goals, he scored once every 506 minutes (if the BBC website is accurate), or once every five and a half games. Dario scored every 478 minutes in the league. I've had to calculate similar stats for Jordan myself. They come out at 212mins per goal. Slightly better than Zak Rudden and Pavol Safranko. It should of course be noted that there are few things more wonderful in football than watching Trouts take a penalty. [emoji7]
  3. Kirky should be playing every week for us in the Championship. That's kinda my point.
  4. Anyone know if Robbo is likely to sign on. Important player for us IMO.
  5. On the Goodwin front, I think it's best if he goes quickly. If he doesn't go now then he's sure to be tempted when the first round of sackings starts. Of course Mulraney has shown himself to be very good at recruiting managers and I expect he will go for a similar appointment to replace Jim; high profile player from the top division who has contacts and is intelligent and respected.
  6. Re Robert Thomson, if he wants to go part-time I'd be inclined to go for him. I know he has had a poorish time at Morton, but he would be a decent target and he is skilful on the deck. Not sure there are many better part-time options out there. Of course I don't know what his attitude is like and that's crucial; needs to fit into the group we have. Still annoyed we've lost Kirky. ☹
  7. That 6th place finish was entirely down to Totten. Had us 3rd at one point, playing brilliant attacking football with Drew Paterson ([emoji7]) and Frankie Cole on the wings. Did we not pump Clydebank 7-2 away?
  8. That's not literate, but no one gives a f**k what your opinion is anyway.
  9. We need squad players as well as first choices. I believe Adam really enjoys being at Alloa (as most players seem to) and must be happy to be a squad player. Obviously he'll hope he gets more chance next year.
  10. Kirky is a more effective player at Championship level than Trouts IMO. Thought he was poorly treated with the number of starts he got last year and now we appear to have paid the price for that. Not good news.
  11. Indeed, Waspie. Hoping Taggs, Robbo, Stevie H all follow on from that. This group of guys are making Alloa history and I don't think they've finished yet.
  12. To be fair that's a six if 10 was bad. [emoji6]
  13. Really delighted for big Andy. Was hoping we would get one player in it - thought big Neil was most likely with Flanny an outside bet. It's a tremendous achievement for Andy and also the club.
  14. Midway through a week's cycling holiday in Majorca as part of a bigger group. It's as good as I was told. Good weather, good quiet roads, flat for miles or very hilly if you want.
  15. What a boring twat you are.
  16. Anyone else think Corbett saying he aimed at Hargreaves legs means someone else could have shot him in the body?
  17. Indeed, Waspie. Still not safe from 10th or, especially, 9th. Three tough games to finish.
  18. What a team! This is beginning to look a lot like last season when Goody's ability to think clearly and keep his nerve, plus the huge belief, determination and effort from the players lead to glory. Finishing above 9th would be an even bigger achievment than that.
  19. It's not purely down to Goodwin though. We have same nucleus of a team that we've had for three season and those players have been through the disappointment of defeat in the playoff final two years ago and then the success of winning it against the odds and in dramatic fashion last year. There is an excellent and genuine camaraderie between them. Plus there's a fair bit of leadership too, with Andy Graham outstanding. By all accounts they love playing for Alloa.
  20. Div must be dreading Falkirk getting relegated. Will cost him a fortune increasing the League One forum data capacity.
