  1. Thing is, if you are privileged to have inside information, then you should really be keeping it to yourself. That would be the classy, professional thing to do.
  2. Thanks for everything, Andy. Best wishes for the future. We won't see your like again.
  3. He may have contributed, but the stats (and his performances) for us this season, together with his last for us in the Championship strongly suggest that any contribution would be minor. He's better away for both parties IMO. Good luck to him of course. And I'd welcome him back in future if we find ourselves league 1. He should score goals at Arbroath, they are an attacking team and the best in their division.
  4. Excellent news on Sam. I expect similar news on Dario soon.
  5. Celtic fans proving they are every bit as bigoted and imbecilic as their blue cousins.
  6. Disappointed with this. I thought he did well any time he got his chance. Might not be our decision of course. If it is have to assume, with Jake also away, that Jim G feels he can bring better in up front, or at least make better use of his budget. With Kirky coming back, I'd expect Liam Burt to go back. Will also be interesting to see how the manager intends to accomodate both Jordan and Trouts in his starting eleven - if indeed that is his intention.
  7. Nice to hear that. Our P&B posters are generally a decent and realistic bunch I think (perhaps that has something to do with being part-time). As are those supporting QotS - in contrast to, say, off the top of my head, Falkirk. The club is also very well run and I think we recognise that we are lucky there.
  8. It's been an excellent first half of the season for us. Yes, we could have picked up more points, but sitting third bottom and competing well nearly every week is as much as most of us would have wished at this stage. The team has improved since the start of the season. Part of that is surely down to belief and confidence. Part is also down to the contribution of the young loan players (Jake, Dario and Sam especially) who have developed with the competitive games they have had at this level.
  9. My mistake then. I'm sure you would never be any less than scrupulously honest on a football forum.
  10. As well as Jim G doing a good job, our dressing room is by all accounts a very good one; squad is packed with good characters and good footballers. I spoke to Jake's dad a few times, early on in his time at Alloa particularly, and he said Jake was really enjoying it at the Indodrill.
  11. I'm sure they do, but she's clearly the best dancer, so it's right they point that out by their scores and comments. ETA This is shaping up to be quite interesting. Looks like we might have the worst dancer in the final actually winning it. How bizarre.
  12. Don't see any reason we would get rid of Adam. Has been fine anytime he's been brought on. I think he's been a bit unlucky not to be given a chance more centrally, especially later on when there is more space. One criticism I have of Jim G is that he seems to pigeonhole players - so Kev is a wide player, Robbo is a holding midfielder etc, when some of them have more to offer than that. Happy with big man overall though.
  13. Yeah, just hasn't worked out for Burt. Been a bit unlucky IMO. Best attacking performance I've seen from us this season has been the 3-3 draw in Dumfries and we started the game with a front four of Burt, Hastie, Shields and wee Kev. We were outstanding going forwards and I thought we'd found our best team, but with the Challenge Cup away to Dunfermline up next Burt and Hastie couldn't play, Trouts came back in, scored 2 goals and has kept the number 10 role.
  14. We'll certainly miss Jake's pace. I think he'd be better off staying with Alloa for the full season to see it through and getting loads more games - he's still some way from the finished article, but good luck to him if he goes back. Will follow his career with interest.
  15. I'm sure Brailsford will fix someone else up. Will be interesting to see what investment level he can get and whether the team can keep their top riders.
  16. Even by the standards of this thread that's an astonishingly dense statement.
