  1. It probably had to have blank back panel as can’t think what colour numbers / names could be to be anyway legible over stripes. would be nice if the replica option had option for full stripes on back though. Probably just not cost effective.
  2. I like it. A bit different from the usual. Glad the sponsor doesn’t f**k it.
  3. That teaser video is pretty smart. And it reminded me how much I love (at least the facade of) our main stand.
  4. We need to fill a budget hole from last year plus avoid running a new deficit next year - and I imagine the cost of our contracted players will account for a significant proportion of our overall budget. Might end up with an unbalanced squad.
  5. Turner is the player I’d most like us to keep (that included Tiff) but really don’t expect us to - he deserves a shot in the Prem.
  6. One “exciting” thing about next season is that I imagine we’ll see more of the young players get a shot. And by now some of them should be ready - if not then not sure what the point in the academy is? So as of now (based on potential low-cost re-signings and subject to any new signings / any bids for contracted players) we could line up: Mitchell McMillan, Muirhead, someone, Milne Bannigan, MacKenzie, Lawless Stanway, Fitzpatrick Graham Clearly no depth, no idea how Stanway would do etc. But not exactly an awful Championship starting XI.
  7. Nah, better if we’d gone up, revealed finances, and used one season in Premier to plug the gap. as it is, at least we have the Foundation already set up as an effective fundraising vehicle.
  8. Losing £280k in a season where we got a televised cup tie vs. Rangers and reached the playoff final is some going. Thank f**k we’re shot of the previous board - if only we’d managed to do it sooner. Big challenge building a comparable squad for the season ahead, but I’m at least confident we’ll have the best chance possible given current ownership.
  9. Bannigan can replace Docherty in our current line up, as long as we find a replacement for the Turner and Tiffoney positions. MacKenzie may have a bigger role to play in one of these positions. Need a new central defence - that said, the current defence (swapping Milne for Holt) meets a minimum standard for Championship so can take a bit of time improving it.
  10. Regardless, I think all three VAR decisions were ultimately made correctly - it’s the current handball rule that I hate. the bottom line is that we made mistakes - both attacking and defending - that were punished.
  11. “Should have could have” is considerably more than you can say for Morton in your lifetime.
  12. Love all these fans of perennial loser teams coming on to try and wind us up after we came up *just* short of promotion. We all knew our defence had mistakes in it. It’s painful how close we came, and that we really should have won with the chances we missed, but this team has given us many more great moments than bad ones. Gutted but proud. On to next season.
  13. Same team and same style please - get in about them, the best way to defend is to ensure that County can’t commit too many men forward given the pace we have up front. Score a goal and that kills it.
  14. Just woke up and already feeling nervous. whatever happens today, I love this team - from manager down. It probably helps that the way we play has lots of similarity with the 2012-13 team - attacking fullbacks, two midfield anchors, a relatively flexible front four. We’re good to watch - and hopefully play our way to promotion later today. mon the Jags.
  15. To be fair, when I finally got through the queues and into section 7 the vomitoreum was mobbed and it was hard to find a seat - people were being helped to seats by stewards 10 mins into the game. So the capacity was probably broadly appropriate for no designated seating. clearly designated seating would have been useful.
  16. Maybe it’s just that we’ve not seen him play as much so expect he’ll have an end product - thought Holt handled him well last night but I still got the fear a bit whenever he got the ball with the pace and trickery he seemed to have.
  17. Crowd was excellent tonight, especially John Lambie. Regretted not being in it but enjoyed being able to watch it. hope we don’t live to regret some of those missed chances…
  18. If parking on Murano Street can you access the Jackie Husband from behind the student flats or have you got to walk right round Firhill?
  19. If that’s a proper sellout (ie we’ve sold a ticket for every seat) then it’s going to be wild with unallocated seating…
  20. Is there any indication on how sales for tomorrow are going, and how many County are bringing? I think this will be my first game since I moved away from the West End and had kids - getting very excited.
  21. You’re mental if you think we’re making wholesale changes to people / shape for our home leg and on the back of 4-0, 3-0 and 5-0 results. Mental. same team please. Let’s get in about them.
