A bit like the new pitch you are having to hire.
Well if you don't own a facility you expect to pay for the privilege. Very simple.

And that is exactly why it is on the Friday and not the Saturday.
We'll still have the injuries but more players are either working or away on the Saturday than the Friday.
But don't let reason get in the way of whatever fiction you want to believe.
Still a lot of spin or shite which ever you want to believe.

I understand all that work took place but I wouldn’t class that as recent work would you ? I think over 10 year on roof is it not
understand what your saying on revenue with huts but surely better planning when working to get huts in place
NPA is a great idea but why did BU as a club not take control of this situation and be no need for bu to become a lodger at place they used to rule
pitch it’s not best in Scotland you’re deluded if you think it is .
Anyway merry Christmas
Because it wasn't theirs to do so. It was built by the people of Bo'ness and held in trust. It was then transfered to Central Region and latterly to FDC who collectively did SFA to maintain the the facility apart from cutting the grass. The NPA was formed and after successfully canvassing for financial aid from Coal Board Regeneration Fund were able reinstate the trust.
This venture needs dedicated people to take it forward as applications for grants is not a 5 minute job.

Yes I can relate to this and quite possibly the best post I have read which neatly reflects my view - it perfectly highlights the reality and flaws of Scottish Football.
The 1st part the reality. The inbetween is probably the part that annoys me most. The last part the flaw
The middle is the failing of the SFA to lead/implement workable change and for me we have chaos as clubs and associations fight to implement a workable pyramid
Far too sensible.
Too many officials in the game protecting their own ‘wee’ domain.

What I don't get is the motivation of these idiots - I'm assuming they are youths from Bo'ness, why would you want to make your own community worse off? This is where you stay and you want to destroy it?
F**cking madness.Sadly it’s the state of our society. Notice a couple of shop windows broken in the high street as well. Total morons.

BU Twitter from 2 hours ago says there has been another act of vandalism at Newtown Park and "extensive damage to the pie hut".
Hopefully they are tracked down, convicted and punished.Come on DD you know that won't happen. There is never any witness's around and by the time the Police get to the scene there probably won't be any evidence. However, if caught these scroats will get a slap on the wrist end off and the Club are out of pocket.
The biggest problem is no local Policing.

I thought he was poor but he wasn't responsible for our failure to score.
That chestnut has been around all season. The young man was hooked when he was the one with pace that could have been the telling factor late on.
If our manager has a plan I wish he would tell the players because that performance was clueless.
We stole a point and should be grateful.
I heard a lot of unhappy supporters today and these guys are the backbone of our support so can I suggest that the powers that be get their finger out and sort this current situation sorted. Please!!!!!!!!!!!

On BU Twitter it says Sauchie v BU is now a 1.30 KO.
Officially down for 2.30. If that's the case Sunset is 3.42 and the match will finish in the dark. Do Sauchie have Floodlights?

Ended 2-1. Snowdon missed a penalty. We had lots of shots but they came to nothing.. We had 30+ corners and made nothing of them. MOTM the Tranent goalie.
Referee was honking for both sides. Probably about 14 booked in a game without a bad tackle. At 1-1 the linesman decided to award a penalty to Tranent and book Snowdon. From what I saw Snowdon had broken up an attack near the byline and cleared the ball out the box for a throw in and then he bumped into the Tranent player off the pitch and he fell over. One really controversial moment missed was the goal United scored but was dissallowed. Gemmell was fouled but we still had possession so Referee waved play on, the ball was crossed and deflected into the net. However, Ref decides to chalk it off and give us the freekick. Can someone explain this bizarre decision or any he made.
Beware of this Ref Colin Whyte who is card and lecture happy.

Heard that Kevin Watt is away due to work commitments up North. Rumoured Calum Smith maybe a target if the Rose can come up with the cash.

Thought Gray was one of your better players the couple of games I saw him in.
He was involved in 15 matches and whilst he showed flashes of what he was capable of his lack of fitness and genuine commitment was obvious.
He is the type of player who will split the opinions of supporters and teammates.

Gray’s threat from a dead ball was outstanding though and he could pick out a pass. It’d be a great option still to have. Our first choice 11 is too injury prone or occasionally ill-disciplined and we need a good squad players for these very reasons if we want to challenge. How long do think it was going to be till he came back and is match fit ? We have wasted good money on him so IMHO time to get rid.

A few people at the game were saying Kieran Sweeney and David Gray had both left the club. I believe Sweeney was only signed up to end November and wants to play every week. Don't think the departure of Gray will upset many BU fans.
For the record Gray started 11 matches and a sub in 2 and scored 1 goal last season. This season has was on the bench in 2 and came on in both. Believed to have an injury that requires an op. I might be being harsh but a one trick pony springs to mind, others may have a different opinion.
Keiran Sweeney has ability but maybe a wee bit impatient. Good luck to him wherever he ends up.

Michael McMullen looks like he will be getting games ahead of Josh MacDonald so a good idea to let him move on.
Looks a decent acquisition. Just has to sort out the difference between a corner flag and a ball but that will come with experience.

Marty Off. Tiwi Daramola on.
Pacy player and on a couple of occasions too quick for the Ref who gave him offside when he looked onside. Looks potentially a decent player.
Again a lot of chances missed but a big win nevertheless.

What's the situation at Eyemouth regards having a team for Saturday? Been speaking to a couple of supporters who are concerned the game might not take place.

Boness 5 Tynecastle 2 FT.
The BU's were booed off at halftime trailing 0-1 after the worst BU performance I have ever seen. I was at Carnoustie when we were 5-0 down at halftime and we were better in that half than today's "effort". Feckin shameful performance.
Second half the introduction of Campbell for Sime and the switch of McMullin to left back and a big increase in pace and effort saw the BU assert themselves.
Game of 2 halves if ever there was one.100% Correct. When Campbell went into the dressing room at HT it was obvious a change was on the cards. That had the desired effect and we ran out easy winners in the end. Our lack of composure on and off the ball smacked of complacency and we were simply shite. Who do you lay the blame at because that team is full of experienced players?
