  7. I had a bit of bidness down the FOTW the other day, Santander bank & was killing time before an appointment so I went in to the Foot of the Walk pub, had a hallumi spicy chili wrap (with chips) which inc a pint of foaming ale for under £6, both of I enjoyed thoroughly. The floating walnut decor might not be to everyone's tastes but to this EH5'er I felt fitted the location location location. G-Bo(re)
  8. But changed his name by deed poll to Van Waitrose for financial reasons. G-Bo(re)
  9. Van was actually a semi-pro darts player but being deef in one ear, whilst in the spring of his darting career he misheard his mentor saying his shot was a fluke & thought he'd told him to take up the flute. That is how he ended up as 2nd flute too JG. G-Bo(re)
  10. The best happy ending is the last line. G-Bo(re)
  11. I'm in the Malt, on the Shore, it's too warm to sit out, I'm necking a gorgeous pint of Neet (light ale) in the shade. G-Bo(re)
  12. Gav are you in your 30's? I think we all go through the epiphany stage. Don't worry you'll get over it in about 15 years you'll go through the mid-life crisis stage & buy the bike. By which stage your GF will either be your wife or ex. The closer to the Mort stage then closer you are to the end of the mortgage & the bucket list starts to kick in (excuse the pun). G-Bo(re)
  13. If you can get in to see the wages folk, take one of them hostage until you get answers. Hang on I thought you are a tax dodgin student, how do you get paid for that? G-Bo(re)
  14. Bonjela or drop an eccie. You're welcome G-Bo(re)
  15. We had a stereogram very similar to that & the wallpaper was similar too. Those were the days my friend. We played that quite often. G-Bo(re)
  16. I came back thru Biggar but had no time to stop off at the chipper cos of all they Manc c***s blocking the M61/M6 from before Preston, took me nearly an hour to get a couple of miles. Just back now in time to pick the missus up from work. G-Bo(re)
  17. If it was your latest signing, well I'd have just gained a Big Team. G-Bo(re)
  18. It's all I've got & an insurance policy etc etc. G-Bo(re)
  19. Gran D comes in for such a hard time eh? Not with that lube he wouldn't. Just sayin. G-Bo(re)
  20. Thatcherism coming home to roost mate. Her Govt was so anti-Union. When I was 30 (actually a lot younger) I didn't have to think about a pension, the union had already thought about it for me & done a good deal with my employers to sort out a pension for me. My missus is 45 she's worked over 20 years in a non Union place & has got no pension plan sorted, been telling her to get one, she's going to have f**k all by the time she hits state pension age & she's not going to be the only one. I'm going to building some massive institution on the edge of town in the next 10 years & call it the Poor House & get state funding to look after all the auld c***s with no pension. G-Bo(re)
  21. The Chipper in Biggar does mushy peas, the chips aren't as good since it got new management. Chips are meant to be brown & crispy/fluffy not white & soggy fat sodden ffs, wassamatta with chipper folk up here, turn your friers up you fuckin tight-wads. f**k it Shands you are back in my top 3 fav posters book, I'm coming back via Biggar, f**k up Paranoid & stick yer refrigerated Viscounts up yer erse. Why would anyone want cold biscuits in the Northern hemisphere? I like warm bickies that's why I dunk them in my tea. I was just trying (too hard) to be edgy by suggesting cold bicks might be for me. I'll never make that mistake again. G-Bo(re)
  22. Aidan the helpful (c) yes. "Crispy"? Wtf Aidy have you been schooled by Skidmarks? off on a T... I've got a rental car & I'm driving up to Edinburgh from Manchester (well it's just before Manc tbh but that's not important), now should I come off the M74 at Abbington & take the A702 through Biggar etc or continue up the M74 & cross over to the M8 to get back to Ed? G-Bo(re)
  23. Just get the kettle on & you know how I like my Viscounts. G-Bo(re)
