We knew what we had to do and shat it basically.
We didn’t miss out on top 6 just based on yesterday - we also dropped points at home to Hamilton last month; got battered 4-0 at home to a rank Celtic side; lost to you lot back in January; had a couple of draws with a shit Aberdeen side - those are the types of results that cost us.
We’ve been unable to beat Hamilton twice in the last month or so - we didn’t deserve top 6 for that alone.
Congratulations have to go to St Johnstone, they have strung together a brilliant streak of results in the last month to pip us. Fair play to them.
I quite like Davidson. It has been quite enjoyable to see two young managers slug it out in the push for top 6. It’s been quite entertaining up until now. Bring on our 5 meaningless post-split fixtures.
Well done to St Johnstone.

Still sickened by the manner in which we chucked it away, but overall not too disappointed, we’ve still had a relatively good season with definite progression.

I’d absolutely love to finish in the top 6. It wouldn’t be the end of the world now if St Johnstone pipped us. However, I would be really disappointed if we blow it now.
Who says mid-table mediocrity was boring? We usually have the thrill of trying to avoid the drop/play-off, but this whole top 6 tilt and trying to overhaul Livi for 5th carry on fairly gets the blood pressure up.

I know they don’t really give a f**k about the other 40 clubs, but at least put a modicum of effort in to looking at both teams, at the very least have the team lines in front of you.

It’s still surprising to me that Andreu is still getting a Premiership gig. Classy player, but he was never quick and is getting slower.

For what it’s worth, I think County will stay up.

I thought it was a penalty. Quamer gets goalside and the defender leans into him.
County looked very poor first half, but much improved after the break.
We really dodged a bullet with that mad flurry where County should’ve scored twice, had a stonewall penalty denied and should have had a free kick on the edge of the box all in about 15 seconds.
The 3 subs Hughes made at half time had a massive impact.
All-in-all we probably nicked that. I didn’t think County deserved the win, but they certainly could have had a point without much complaint.
