  1. That was my thoughts exactly. And Tam Cowan said earlier the journalist was a Well supporter who rarely gets things right.
  2. True. All managers are. But should that the first and main topic to introduce a new season when there are plenty of positives? McIntyre is negative, aggressive, interrupts and seems to think all that and shouting makes a good discussion. He is the gutter press of radio.
  3. I haven't been impressed with performances and results so far but to talk of binning Robinson is mad. We were never going to get another keeper as good as Alnwick but Carson is an internationalist as is Gallagher. O'Hara, Baccus, Strain and Ayungu all looked decent and it is far too early to say they won't hack it at Premiership level (O'Hara can). And we've been without Main and Brophy with limited appearances of Kiltie and Tanser. The squad looks half decent on paper. Time will tell if the players, formation and tactics will be good enough. But they need a chance as does Robinson.
  4. Today's program was terrible. First day of a new season and the first subject to be discussed is the managers under pressure. After 0 games and incomplete squads???? How about starting with something positive like discussing each team's exciting new signings. Or how the League should be tight with teams improving. Maybe talk up the game? But no we have negativity, agression, shouting and being disrespectful to various managers (even if they haven't excelled in the LC at least give them a chance in the League before condemning them). McIntyre is the vocal equivalent of the Sun.
  5. McIntyre would start an argument in an empty room. Awful listening. Games just finished as he starts a free-for-all and ignores the the matches just completed. Absolute useless in his job. He doesn't want calm discussion but angry shouting.
  6. Stubbs has been 'waiting for the right opportunity'. This is it.
  7. It's a load of bollocks. Well have just paid compensation to a management team that had just signed a 3 year deal. Now they want to sign a management team that have a 2 year deal to run? And after financially losing out in Europe where they wouldn't have expected? Far too much cash thrown down the drain. They need someone who is out of work. Stubbs fits the bill.
  8. Apparently Brophy didn't play on Saturday due to not being match fit as he is behind in pre-season as they allowed him time to recover from his injuries. They didn't want to rush him back and he won't be available this weekend either.
  9. Not only that but his Club have allegedly knock back a £100,000 bid for him.
  10. I hoped he would get some time on the park today. With both Main and Brophy to come back into contention Lewis will drop even further down the pecking order. And best of luck to Clyde.
  11. Baccus looks a player. Strain and Ayunga also showed up very well. Defence still a bit dodgy. Reid played safe when he came on so didn't contribute a great deal but young Taylor was very good. He may look like he is still at Primary school but that boy has talent.
  12. Shows how far we have fallen when we are relying on Main as a saviour.
  13. I noticed that. I would hope that six seats is not the total number.
  14. Executive boxes coming soon between the West and South Stands. At £17k per 6 seats per season it goes someway to recoup some of the bigots cash. https://www.stmirren.com/commercial-news/4501-matchday-your-way
  15. Very similar problems to last season. Midfield sitting too deep and passing the ball forward without supporting the forwards instead of carrying it forward. Too many side and back passes allowing the opposition to get everyone behind the ball. We need to get the ball forward a lot faster and support the front players. Gallagher was one player who was carrying the ball forward sometimes passing through the midfield but then would lose it causing panic behind him. But he was showing the midfield what they should have been doing. Thought Carson looked shakey. Gallagher didn't look like he would be adding to his Scotland caps anytime soon. Ayunga and Olusanya need to learn to pass/not fall over. O'hara was very good on Tuesday but only appeared occasionally yesterday. The midfield worries me. On the bench we only had Flynn and Reid and Reid may be off. Kiltie is not a midfielder. Threadbare to say the least.
  16. Like Aberdeen and Sevco we are an Elite Academy which does take into account facilities and coaching. Don't think facilities would make much difference. Main influence is his family are Sevco diehards.
  17. Shocking choice. Always sounds like a drunk looking for a fight. Anyone want to buy a second hand radio?
  18. St Mirren Academy is at Elite level. You cannot go higher than that. The Fakes are the same level as Ayr Utd and Morton
  19. Can't tell you anything other than our Academy is one of the best so anyone going on loan should be half decent. Wouldn't mind your opinion as the season progresses.
  20. Doubt Ronan will be back playing in Scotland anytime soon.
  21. According to the OS the regular Away adult price is £22. Looks like we have a £10 sectarian surcharge only for a few matches.
  22. Can't really say as they are on the fringes of the first team squad and have only make a brief token appearance. However our Academy is one of the best so anyone coming through it should do a good job in the Lowland League. Best of luck for the season.
  23. No worries about McGinn. Tomorrow morning Hibs will realise Paul had triggered an auto 3 year contract. Disappointed we didn't re-sign him.
