Look at the size of the crowd that day ...

Up until very recently Gogic hadn't started a game since May and had no pre-season training. We signed him at the end of the transfer window unfit and nowhere near match fit. He was excellent last season but it will take a wee while to get him up to speed. And Olusanya's injury was well publicised - who knows what he will be like when he is fit. Agree about Dunne. Too many mistakes recently. Caused the first decisive goal at Perth and could have cost us the game on Saturday. I would drop him so that he knows he has got to up his game and so that other players know they get a chance back into the team when performances drop. Joe deserves his chance. Same goes for Main and Ayunga. I would still start them but if they fail to hold the ball up like they did on Saturday then a sub needs to be made far earlier than 10 mins to go. So the only change I'd make for starting is Joe back in the team. But Erhahon better impose himself more than he did against Killie where he was posted missing and Main and Ayunga had better hold the ball up better. We, for a change, have options on the bench and should use them. Always enjoy playing Utd as I mostly see us beat them. Home win.

Off The Ball - Is it good?

Totally agree. Cowan was way over the top about it. Never ever hear him asking anyone to apologise for sectarianism. -

The only solution is money. Mountains of it. You need the best players to compete in Europe and Scottish clubs cannot afford them.

VAR will make no difference. It will still be a penalty to Rangers. -

At 14:50 Sportsound mentioned Rangers after having live commentary and discussion on Celtic since 12:30. By kick offs around the country no other teams have been mentioned. Radio OldFirm. -

We beat Livi 3-1 away in 2017 with Gary Irvine being sent off. Halket og and Reilly with 2. -
There are only two clubs that I would condemn fans. For the rest of us I admire every fan that takes the time and spends the money to support their club. I saw a picture during the week of only 2 fans in an Away section who had travelled hundreds of miles for a midweek game. Good on them. Yesterday was a great result in the circumstances. Livi are always difficult to beat and they have some very good players. Getting a result with only 10 men was excellent. We were shite yesterday with our worst league performance this season. That was Gogic's first start in 6 months and it showed. I also think he was wearing 6 inch heels. Strain was a huge miss. Fraser is nowhere in the same category playing wing back. And Kiltie is not a striker. If Greive had come back from NZ sooner than Friday and he started I reckon we would have caused the Livi defence far more problems. Great to see Joe get some game time and introduce a threat at corners. Good day at the office.

Gallagher has been outstanding this season. Well deserved call up.

According to a poll taken in Scotland in May this year only 45% of Scots support the monarchy. Over the last 2 weeks those that don't have been very respectful considering the amount of 'respect' we have to show that institutions and media have foisted upon us on a daily basis. The SFA now demanding yet another show when monarchists and anti-monarchists have been doing it for 2 weeks is foolhardy in the extreme. If people boo I think it would be more about the principle of being pushed into a corner rather than an insult. But rest assured the media won't paint it that way.

We were very poor against the fakes but so were they. We could have been 1 up before two mistakes by Dunne and Henderson gave them a two goal lead. After that it was pretty much one way traffic, although it was toothless, with them getting a very late pen on a breakaway. Greive made a huge difference when he came on and should have been on sooner. The fakes were worthy of their victory as they took their chances and didn't make the two stupid mistakes that we did. But the scoreline flattered them and had we got one back we had 15 mins and the momentum to get a draw. They deserved their win but there was little between two poor team performances on the day. -
St. Mirren v Sellick, Sunday 18th September
NorthBank replied to Arch Stanton's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
St Mirren are very actively trying to increase their fan base. The Club and supporters groups and individual supporters are buying tickets and season tickets to give out at each home to disadvantaged groups; folk that cannot afford to go and to other groups ( we had several Ukranian families at our last home game). The Club has also given some season tickets to every school in Paisley. Giving the family stand to the OF was only an expriment which didn't go down well with home supporters. The season ticket holders in the FS were asked to move to other seats in other stands but many simply didn't go. After fan pressure the experiment has ended with positive results in the returning families. Hopefully as time goes by these free tickets will encourage some of the beneficiaries to return on a regular basis. The aim is to fill those empty seats with Buddies. -

Greive has been called up. However if you have 3 players on international duty you can ask for a game to be postponed. -

Only 45% of Scots support the monarchy ( https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/may/15/scottish-support-for-monarchy-falls-to-45-poll-reveals ) so the SFA and SPFL are suggesting to clubs to ask fans to sing a song that is irrelevant to the majority. That is only asking for trouble. -
