  1. Superb victory for Kwiatkowski at E3 Harelbeke. But my word Sagan truly has the curse of the rainbow jersey, 2nd for the 8th time this season. Cancellara is the man to beat for Flanders I'd say, looks in great form, had a big chase today.
  2. Great stage today with Quintana lighting it up on the final climb to take the overall lead. Contador stuck with him initially but didn't last and finished with Porte. Sky nowhere.
  3. Dan Martin with a great finish to take stage and overall at Catalunya. Sky did a lot of work but faded badly, with only Froome in the top 10.
  4. Bouhanni cleaning up in the sprints at Catalunya, must be gutted his chain fell off at San Remo. Bit of a harder day tomorrow, hopefully some of the GT specialists come out to play.
  5. Can't believe Gladbach lost that game. Schalke did virtually nothing the entire game, played off the park, yet win due to comic own goal and deflection. Football is crazy at times.
  6. Comic own goal, Schalke ahead after being pummeled.
  7. Superb first half in Gelsenkirchen, Gladbach should really be ahead against Schalke, 0-0 HT.
  8. The Leafs now stone last in the entire league and the Wings in danger of missing the playoffs for the first time in 25 years. Good move Mike Babcock.
  9. Peter 2agan at it again. Loses by a solitary second to GVA for the overall at Tirreno. Sagan for runner-up at San Remo on Sunday. Cancellara awesome in the final TT today.
  10. Currently no Canadian teams in a playoff position and I fully expect it to remain that way. Has it ever happened before?
  11. Geraint Thomas in yellow at Paris - Nice. Really should thank Contador for whipping things up, otherwise they'd have tempo Road the climb all the way to the line and Dumoulin would've taken the lead.
  12. Just watched Strade Bianchi, what a finish from Cancellara. Heartbreak for Brambilla. Peter 2agan could only manage fourth, faded on the final climb. Becoming one of my favourite races of the entire season.
  13. At last. Hopefully a domino affect within tennis. Doubt it though, too many people with too much to lose. Other doping failures in tennis have obviously been covered up before. Big news though.
  14. Back out again on Saturday, up Sgurr Ghuibhsachain on the east side of Loch Shiel. Pretty hairy at points on the north ridge, crampons and axe required.
  15. Talking of Bundesliga 2. When I was in Berlin a couple of weeks back, Leipzig were at home to Union Berlin in the Friday night. The Union fans made a protest by entering the stadium 20 minutes late. Apparently not the first time they've done it against Leipzig. It's to do with the fact that Leipzig are financed by Red Bull and in the eyes of many not a proper football club. Hertha fans I spoke to were in general agreement with the reasons for the Union fans actions. Be interesting to see if fans of other clubs react similar when Leipzig are playing the big boys next season. Doubt it.
  16. Cracking hattrick for Andre Schurrle against Hannover who look all at sea. Currently 3-0 with half an hour to go.
  17. Utterly stupendous day on Cruach Ardrain and Beinn Tulachain above Crianlarich yesterday. No wind, warm sunshine, perfect snow condition. Even needed the after sun last night.
  18. Was at Hertha 1-1 Wolfsburg on Saturday. Fair result between two evenly matched teams. Hertha had the best of the first half with Kalou always looking dangerous. Second half and the big Yank John Anthony Brooks manages a Gavin Gunning style howler and Wolfsburg go ahead. Kalou got the equaliser with tidy footwork after a clearance off the line. Jarstain pulled off a tremendous double save at the death to deny Wolfsburg all three points. Dante was my MOTM, assured at the back for the visitors.
  19. Wee trip up north last week resulted in An Teallach from Dundonnell in perfect conditions. Going over the ridge in winter is a bit beyond my skillset, but Bidean A'Ghlas Thuil was superb. Then two days later went up Quinag. Great views, but wind was murder, so bailed after the first couple of summits.
  20. I've just finished the first series of Rebels, will batter on with the second series then revisit Clone Wars after. Ashoka who appears in Rebels I'm sure was in Clone Wars?
  21. All I can find is programme starts at 6.30, so I assume 7 start?
  22. Just in case anybody missed it...
  23. Thankfully the fans aren't signing the Toure pish.
  24. In Bristol or wherever he actually calls home. He blocked me post referendum and I can't even remember why now. Could be a multitude of things, his sudden fondness for Aberdeen FC made me chuckle though, might have been something to do with that.
  25. Got this for £25 out of Tesco. Not opened yet, probably save for the bells.
