Just back from watching it in Dundee. Enjoyed it, a return to form for Star Wars after the truly awful prequels. Good casting, particularly Ridley, Driver and Isaac. Hayden Christensen in the prequels, was Lucas drunk? Location based stuff was also excellent, while the CGI stuff was good without being too in your face. ETA: watched it in 2D, doubt 3D would add anything to the film.

Just when you think the Leafs are finding their feet, they manage to reach new depths. An absolute hammering in Winnipeg last night.

Up Ben Lawers today for the fifth time, but first time from Lawers Hotel. Must say much preferred it to the usual route over Beinn Ghlas, a bit more varied. Loch nan Cat is in a stunning situation.

Ovechkin breaks the NHL record for goals scored by a Russian, taking it from Sergei Federov. Caps still lose to a superb Dallas side though. Ducks finally beginning to show a bit of form, they could be dangerous going forward. Crosby helps Pittsburgh to victory over Minnesota, but only his third goal of the season, struggling for personal form big time so far.

Did not foresee just how badly the Ducks would start the season, literally none of their top players on form. Dallas on the other hand have Benn, Spezza, Seguin, Sharp all firing.

Yeah I got one, decent phone, I long since left the world of contracts though, this will do me another few years. Good camera, pretty fast as well, and obviously running Marshmallow. Battery life seems good, with doze a definite improvement, as is quick charging via USB type C. If you really need an SD slot it's obviously for you though. I currently have 25GB free, although I've no games installed at the moment, the fact I don't have Facebook or Facebook Messenger on my phone no doubt helps as well, as they are very bloated apps.

Montreal fall one short of the record with a 5-1 stuffing in Vancouver, despite having half the fans in the arena. Bit of bad luck thrown in, but they've probably had plenty good luck in the opening nine games. Big win for Vancouver who've been pretty inconsistent to start the season, the Sedin twins not creating a great deal...

Habs defeat Buffalo & Toronto on consecutive nights. If they defeat Vancouver on Tuesday they'll equal the 93-94 Leafs and 06-07 Sabres for the best start to a season in NHL history 10-0-0...

I took the path from the bridge over the stile. Pretty tough going, but height gained very quickly. Wouldn't like to do it after a period of rain, path was very boggy despite having barely rained in the last six weeks.

South Glen Shiel ridge yesterday. Slate grey skies and zero wind, almost perfect conditions for hiking in, great visibility too, made out South Uist on the horizon. Think it's seven munro's, but as I'm not bagging, I left the last one and took what looked a far more natural ridge back to the glen. Was glad of the hitch back to the Cluanie Inn, legs knackered today.

Just watched the Habs shutout the Rangers 3-0, commentator said at the end it's the first time Montreal have started the season 5-0-0 in franchise history. Hard to believe.

First hike since June today, recovering from injury. Nice afternoon hike round Loch Brandy and onto Green Hill. Left Ben Tirran for the winter, as it was horribly windy on the plateau. Excellent pint of Guinness in Clova hotel after.

The NHL app/game centre has finally added Chromecast support which is fantastic. Great start for Vancouver, the home and home with Calgary back in BC tomorrow night. Watched Dallas shutout the Pens. Could be dark horses, Pat Sharp is a very shrewd bit of business. Spezza could provide some fine support if he stays fit as well.

Looks like Google launching the LG Nexus 5X and Huawei 6P at conference today along with Android 6 Marshmallow. I'll definitely be interested in the 5X as it appears it'll be more of a mid range phone, which is all I need(and can afford at the minute).

Wow that's busy! I climbed Ben Alder on a fabulous early spring day about 8 years ago, with lots of snow still on the hill. Planning another trip in that way on the bike, no hills really planned this time, just need nice weather to coincide with time off work!
