  1. Have the Shire ever agreed to be part of Falkirk's player pathway as the way to share a stadium?
  2. Whatever makes you happy and makes it easier for the people that have to deal with you in real life.
  3. Don't count on all the bizarre posts suggesting the playoffs will be cancelled being accurate. The SPFL website story stated: https://spfl.co.uk/news/ken-ferguson-steps-down-from-spfl-board Our approach has always been to apply the Rules that have been agreed by all member clubs, as well as the Pyramid Play-Off Rules agreed between the SPFL, the Scottish FA, the Lowland League and the Highland League, and we will do so again this season There is nothing in the play-off rules that could justify cancelling the playoffs this year unlike last year when the lockdown made it legally impossible to proceed at the stated timing. The only obvious get out of jail card this time around is the colt teams reconstruction plan.
  4. Last season the games could not legally be played at the timing stated in the rules for lockdown reasons so the SPFL could get away with it. This season they have no justifiable excuse unless the colt team reconstruction plan comes through for them and the SPFL League 2 gets expanded to 16 for 2021-22. The SFA have actively advised the HL and LL on what they needed to do to declare a league champion for the playoffs (bizarrely the LL had to have it explained to them that they could not still nominate a champion for season 2020-21 after declaring the season null & void), while last season they were passive about what was happening.
  5. Linguistic differences like that was something I was warned to be very careful about by relatives on moving to Canada for work. Canadians find that very hard to believe as well.
  6. There's no need to consider whether Kelty or Brora meet the membership criteria if they aren't being viewed as league champions.
  7. Something worth pondering before people fly off the handle about this statement and assume the worst: https://spfl.co.uk/news/ken-ferguson-steps-down-from-spfl-board He said: “In view of the fact that Brechin City are currently 42nd in the League, it is appropriate for me to step aside at this time – and to devote all my time and energy into ensuring that Brechin City do not finish bottom of League 2 this season.” Why would ensuring Brechin won't be bottom of League 2 this season be worth doing that for if the playoff games aren't happening this year?
  8. We used to laugh at Radio Moscow having hours on end of sombre music every time a Soviet leader popped his clogs.
  9. That's definitely how things would be prior to May 17th, so think the issue may be with the context.
  10. Don't think a second Bo'ness club should be allowed to cohabit at Newtown Park unless Bo'ness United approve of it and my understanding is they don't and feel they were misled by Linlithgow Thistle as to what the future arrangements were going to be.
  11. How are Tayport getting in if it's all happening according to the simplistic narrative you guys were peddling?
  12. Once adult contact sports are allowed again from May 17th forward there is no need for testing.
  13. https://spfl.co.uk/news/ken-ferguson-steps-down-from-spfl-board ...The SPFL understands that the Lowland League and the Highland League have each declared ‘League Champions’ for Season 2020/21, with Kelty Hearts having played just 13 games; and Brora Rangers having played only three games this season. At its meeting on 19 April, the SPFL Board will determine whether each of Kelty Hearts and Brora Rangers meet the SPFL’s Membership Criteria. Only then will the SPFL be in a position to announce the position in respect of Pyramid Play-Offs this season... This implies the SPFL has no issue with the question of whether they are qualifying champions in first place and should be a procedural formality, so this looks like confirmation that the playoffs are happening and given that backdrop the resignation looks like it might be a case of toys being thrown around the room upon not getting his own way. Our approach has always been to apply the Rules that have been agreed by all member clubs, as well as the Pyramid Play-Off Rules agreed between the SPFL, the Scottish FA, the Lowland League and the Highland League, and we will do so again this season.
  14. 19 - Tayside 4 = 15 so assuming that has happened and if it has been whittled down further beyond that to12 that means 3 other rejected applicants. Fingers crossed one is the rebranded Bo'ness United JFC and I suspect Sauchie Juniors CFC would be a prime candidate for being immediately binned given the reserve team of an existing league member angle.
  15. Saving face after what had been placed on the EoS website? https://www.eosfl.com/ Following the announcement by the Scottish Government that adult contact sport cannot commence until 17 May the Board have decided that unless that date is brought forward by a significant margin in the next Scottish Government review on 6 April we will in all likelihood have no other choice than to abandon this season's league. A final decision will be made by the Board later that week. They have done a major U-turn on their previously stated position by throwing it back to the clubs for a vote.
  16. I don't doubt it will get sorted eventually if as appears to be the case a majority of east region north clubs are now firmly on board with being a north feeder and the pressure from Brechin City on the Club 42 boundary isn't getting anywhere but whether it happens smoothly at the first time of asking remains to be seen.
  17. Greek or Danish anthem would be more appropriate in protocol terms? He had a good innings, said a few silly things along the way that would have ended the career of anybody that wasn't a royal, and Princess Alexandra probably won't rate a mention in the media coverage over the next few days.
  18. Why the over the top attention seeking fear porn surrounding COVID-19 and anthropogenic global warming needs to be actively combated. Yes, there are challenges ahead but the vaccine roll out and achieving grid parity on renewables shows we are not helpless in the face of it when the scientific method is applied properly.
  19. The UK unlike many other countries has pretty much reached herd immunity now through mass vaccination of older age cohorts meaning hosptialisation and death numbers have plummeted but some people still want to act as if we are in the grip of the crisis would be another way to spin it.
  20. Can definitely see where you are coming from on that.
  21. ...if that means Colt teams getting into SPFL 2 it means the LL will have a place to fill to get back to 16 because two LL clubs will be promoted to the SPFL League 2.
  22. Good to see it is being done democratically based on current circumstances.
  23. Was it not Little Kerse that was deemed unsuitable by the EoS with the Syngenta proposal forcing them to scramble to find something else? They seem to be using Grangemouth Stadium as the basis for their application this time around so whatever the issue was that forced them to go to Dunipace has presumably been sorted.
