  1. My grandfather always used to say he supported Rangers, Linfield and Bo'ness United in increasing order of Protestantism. Mainly aiming for three red dots in quick succession from vikingtòn with that but think FF is just a reflection of how people from an Orange background tend to view the world. Having a big team and a wee team is very much normal.
  2. Because watching the Rovers has always been so very different from watching Blantyre Vics? Genuinely have no idea why fans of League Two clubs seem to think that what they are used to watching is so much better than clubs like Pollok or Talbot.
  3. Maybe more a sign that a tired cliche is being adopted? You also need to bear in mind that most Alliance voters are pro-Union but too well brought up to make a fuss about it and Alliance are doing quite well at the other end of the pro-Union spectrum.
  4. Definitely true about Follow Follow.
  5. Five "Lanarkshire" clubs on the modern boundaries next season plus one of the gruesome twosome B teams playing in Airdrie means they will have plenty of relatively local games.
  6. Are you implying that last bit is a bad thing? Fan ownership with regular AGMs members can actually vote at to determine who runs the club, along with traditional grounds with terracing rather than soulless lego stands, is better than having your club run into the ground by some complete chancer who controls a majority of shares and is using your club as a tax avoidance strategy (e.g. Hamilton Accies between Jan Stepek and Ronnie MacDonald).
  7. There will be no shortage of Rangers ones as well given the sectarian leanings of Coatbridge angle is always exaggerated a bit. Never been clear to me why there is so much less local support of Albion Rovers than is the case with Motherwell, Airdire, and Hamilton Accies. Cmon Accies finish the job now it's back to all square.
  8. Don't think there is any clear favourite. EK appear to be about to splash the cash and Berwick got their act together in the second half of the season to name two examples of other clubs you can make a strong case for.
  9. It doesn't now. The gap in playing standards between the bottom end of League Two and the top end of the HL and LL is non-existent. That's why Club 42 is now regularly losing the playoff.
  10. Think that's wishful thinking or maybe that should be copium in terms of internet lingo these days. Another way of looking at the advances the Ukrainians made on the flanks recently is that it limited any risk of having their remaining units in Bakhmut surrounded when the end approached in the outskirts of the city itself and it likely made it a lot easier for them to get equipment out. Soledar and Bakhmut isn't much to show for the big Russian mobilisation late last year but it's still a defeat for the Ukrainian side.
  11. Vlad lets slip why Russian men prefer vodka:
  12. Crimea is internationally recognized as part of Ukraine so they are definitely aiming to do that.
  13. Definitely option 2 and would have no major issue with tier 6 being a uniform initial entry point given that would be possible in some parts of the country but not in others. The main reason this conference abomination proposal is happening is that the lower division SPFL clubs have the voting clout to ensure that they don't get into SPFL League Two. That should not be allowed to mess up the rest of the pyramid.
  14. Strongly suspect it would be. Also potentially favourable on the pro/rel issue where modifying the playoff into the LL is concerned.
  15. Campbeltown to Tweedmouth is 240 miles according to Google Maps.
  16. An interesting seque but I guess Bakhmut was very much in Nestor Makhno territory. Maybe try following this guy for maps? It seems to be his niche.
  17. The first person to convincingly work both the Idel-Ural Republic and Nestor Makhno into a post to further their argument wins.
  18. Just a well for the Ukrainians that Jeremy Corbyn isn't the PM:
  19. Novichok strikes again maybe. I'm sure Vlad wanted Belarus to be more actively involved than they have been and Lukashenko's determination and ability to continue his personal dictatorship has probably been the only reason Belarus has remained an independent sovereign state for the last twenty years or so (ironically in many ways). Suspect it will turn out to be like rumours of the fat North Korean having popped his clogs though.
  20. If he is serious about selling the club the last thing he should have done was that Daily Record article.
  21. Berwick apparently if you go back a page.
