  1. Well at least you are not accusing him of mendacity. Inspiration not perspiration, Richard.
  2. Cumbernauld Colts at home on Saturday in the first league game of the season?
  3. Those that want a national cup from tier 6 down can still proceed in the absence of those that don't. The SoS and NCL not being on board isn't exactly a huge loss in terms of who is likely to get through to the later rounds. It only takes the EoS to get over the junior vs senior tribalism to put humpty dumpty back together again on having similar to what the SJC traditionally provided.
  4. Agree they should be doing it but suspect Facebook is viewed as the main priority nowadays because that's what people will tend to access from a phone or tablet as opposed to a desktop computer. Think you'll find all the info there about games, signings, kit sponsorships, the Treasure Chest etc on there. Maybe they could put a facebook and/or twitter feed on the website.
  5. Are Hearts B likely to be as strong as the Old Firm teams? Time will tell I guess but suspect Rangers B then Celtic B will be the top two. I'll go for EK, Spartans, Bo'ness United and Tranent to round out the top six in that order with Dalbeattie Star and Gretna as the bottom two. Think the three former SPFL clubs will all be safely midtable and could potentially push into the top six. No idea what to expect from OG Broomhill but hope it's a fiasco. Would question whether any club could ever stroll the HL given how lopsided it is on playing standards and how financially doped certain clubs with negligible supports can be. Will be interesting to see how Banks o Dee do this season and if they can break into the Brora-Buckie-Fraserburgh-Brechin level or will be more in the Inverurie Locos-Rothes-Formartine sort of orbit.
  6. Facebook and Twitter probably get a lot more traffic these days.
  7. Difficult to overstate how big a step it would be for NATO to provide Ukraine with weaponry that enables them to take pot shots at the Black Sea Fleet's naval base in Sevastopol and the Kerch Bridge.
  8. Cowdenbeath fans definitely seem to have an axe to grind where SPFL newcomers are concerned. Don't appear to be any issues for Edinburgh City or Bonnyrigg Rose hosting home games stadiumwise despite what was being posted by prorege. Meadowbank Thistle's support base was neglible as well. Didn't stop them from almost being promoted to the top tier because there's a niche for a third part-time Edinburgh club based on the strength of the local available players. Problem for them now though might be having Bonnyrigg Rose on their doorstep tapping into the same pool of semi-professional players.
  9. Lots of talk on twitter that Ukraine will be receiving the 300 km range ATACMS missiles for the HIMARS soon. At that point things get interesting because:
  10. Some old Ulster culture both sides should be able to relate to: now back to baiting the other lot.
  11. The Americans appear to be upping the ante again on the quality of the weaponry they are providing to the Ukrainians: Up until now the NATO howitzers sent have not included this GPS targeting angle:
  12. Dalbeattie Star could be the weak line this time around as they weren't able to keep the team together that did well for them last season.
  13. Also conflicting narratives on whether two HIMARS vehicles plus ammunition got taken out in the Donbas last night.
  14. See there's a Lisburn team called Ballymacash Rangers in the Premier Intermediate now. Doubt that helps Distillery with their attempt to be a Lisburn team.
  15. Found this an interesting read. Lots of background on HIMARS and not afraid to have a go at recent Ukrainian tactical (or should that be strategic) decisions in Luhansk oblast: Have seen it suggested though that their narrative of valiantly doing their best to hold onto cities like Lyman, Rubizhne and Severodonetsk but just not having the weapons needed was aimed at securing HIMARS. If they had been retreating too easily odds on Macron and Scholz would have been pushing negotiations with Vlad that revolved around huge territorial concessions. Now, instead Germany and France have had to get serious about preparing for a winter without Russian natural gas.
  16. Irate Ukrainian pensioner on his mobility scooter plays the Ukrainian national anthem in occupied Kherson:
  17. So as the tpyxa tweet stated: " Flag of Ukraine is again on Snake Island". What actually matters is that the Russians are no longer where they don't belong where this island is concerned just as will hopefully be the case eventually with the rest of Ukraine's de iure territory. Wonder if Virginton will go for 50 red dots in a row like Marshmallo once did with my posts? Good way to out himself as a complete crank if he does.
  18. How's it fake if it's a prewar photo? That angle was quickly pointed out by Ukrainians on twitter so wasn't exactly a secret given how easy it is to check something like that:
  19. ^^^this sort of stuff was also completely predictable
  20. That will no doubt get you a few green dots from the usual suspects.
  21. My recollection is that he was serenaded with You're not English Any More from the Rangers end at Hampden on his Scotland debut back before the Family von Trapp showed up. RIP, doubt we'll ever have two keepers of the quality of Goram and Leighton competing for the jersey again.
