  1. Points of order: 1. Dae they aye 2. Will ye aye 3. Did ye aye 4. Awwwww diddums what a pure shame for you 5. Dae ye aye 6. You're a pishy tear-stained radge
  2. Yesterday (Monday) I had to drive from Killie to Darvel to meet with a client about some work I'm doing soon. Set off in plenty of time - and as soon as I turn onto Galston Road in Hurlford do I find I'm behind a tractor that's going all the way to Darvel. Was not fun.
  3. Had to turn down a Public Service Broadcasting ticket last night due to work. And I felt like a zombie at work due to having a belter of a cold, so I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as much as I might have were I 100%. Still, got Losing Ground at King Tut's on Thursday night with a pretty girl, so I'm hoping for a good night all round.
  4. Locke confirmed as boss according to STV http://sport.stv.tv/football/video/4148975601001/
  5. I reckon our already slim chance for top six is away now. I'm alright finishing in the bottom six as I reckon we've a decent chance of finishing tap o' the shite and we'll get some good away days to boot.
  6. Obv m9. If it's good enough for Ryan Adams it's good enough for me...
  7. For work I have to go to one of the villages near Killie once a month. The event I work at is heard in a church hall and on the way to the toilet you can see the playgroup kids' names above their colourful hooks. I knd you not, one of the wee lads there is called Zidane. Ah well, in comparison to some of the names mentioned on this thread Zidane is positively sanguine.
  8. It wasn't the kind of gig to do that, but the way he dealt with it by making up a song on the spot called Cannibal Thieves was fantastic. That'd be a fantastic band name - I might use it at some point. Great gig nonetheless, I enjoyed what I saw of Natalie Prass' set and I loved when she joined Ryan for Come Pick Me Up at the end. When The Stars Go Blue was another highlight for me, as was Ashes & Fire. I wish the keyboard player had played the piano more than the organ though, it was a lovely sound he was getting out it! Anyway, next gig for me is The War On Drugs at the Usher Hall on Saturday. Anyone know what it's like as a venue?
  9. Agreed. I was desperate for them to play Limassol, Acrobat and Parisian Skies but reckoned we'd be lucky to hear any more than two of those. Loved being so close to the band as well, and the club night with the lads at propaganda was a pish laugh too. Back home now and with work in less than an hour, I've certainly felt fresher...
  10. Good venue, incredibly close to the front entrance of Glasgow Central. I've played it a couple of times with various bands I've been in and the sound in there's very good. My initial impression of it was that some of the furniture looked like it was out of a 1960's IKEA sale but you get over that soon. You'll have a good night, I can say that much! Seen them about 6 or 7 times before and I've yet to see them play a bad gig. The Barras will be absolutely bouncing with them in there!
  11. Magic! Myself and one of the guys from uni are going to the Laurieston for a couple beforehand, we can sort something out nearer the time.
  12. It sounds fantastic. I spent all of last night listening to Riverman on repeat and today I've got You Know We Can't Go Back on repeat, so catchy. Very good album and showcases how one-dimensional Beady Eye were in comparison.
  13. I'm certain I'll enjoy it, not sure what it'll be like given I'm told it's seated, but I think it'll be brilliant anyway. Graham, you fancy a pint before the gig?
  14. Roses are red Violets are blue I'VE GOT A GUN GET IN THE VAN
  15. My pal who works at the Glasgow Academy/ABC managed to get me and him guestlist for Ryan Adams a fortnight tonight. Some buzz!
  16. I found a pair of black Gazelles in tk maxx yesterday while out shopping for "sensible shoes". Ah well, I've worn dafter shoes than Gazelles before!
  17. Was at a local gig in Killie last night watching The Belafonte in Fanny By Gaslight and a mate told me about the Barr Brothers. Checking them out at present, I'm enjoying what I'm hearing!
  18. Got the Maximo Park tickets. CHAMPIONEES
  19. I do the solo artist hing under the name Andy K and I'm involved with 2 bands as well, one of which is called Albino Bears and the other has no name yet. We'll most probably go for the name "Denim Tracksuit", provided nobody has taken that already.
  20. "I was hoping it wouldn't come to this, but you guys asked for it... Can't you read? Call the police!"
  21. Aye, it's ice-rink conditions here too. I have to go into Killie for work in an hour and I'm wishing I had a pair of skates to get me there.
  22. How'd you find last night? I'm not big into them but I've heard numerous gid hings from pals who went. Anyway, Maximo Park have announced a show on Friday 20th February at the Liquid Rooms in Edinburgh and I cannot wait to get my mitts on a ticket. If I don't get to see this I'll be the saddest man in the whole of the shire.
