This was my first thought when I read that statement. Long balls forward to a wee striker that can't challenge in the air is eye bleeding stuff. I hated it when we relied on Craig Gunn and I hate it now. It is vital we get a new manager with fresh ideas and contacts in, as the current recruitment strategy just wasn't working. My fear is if we rely on the current trio that we've gone for the easy option on the back of our escape last season and nothing else. Is there a plan in place with different ideas on our signing strategy there? I'm not sure that there would be. I'm already concerned we'll be treading water in transfers by the time we have someone in place.

I think that first half might have been the worst half of fitba I've ever seen. Eye bleeding. Remarkable how it was a dead rubber for Dumbarton and an absolute must win for us and yet both teams were fucking hopeless. Not sure a last minute goal has meant quite as much. Absolute scenes at the end. Totally worth it. It took me a good 10 minutes of sitting in Tesco car park for my heart rate to come down at the end.

Northern bias rears its ugly head once again

Ooft. First half was probably edged by Elgin outside of the goal. Hester had a great chance early on which was probably our only real chance in the game to make it 1-0 and he only managed a weak attempt. McHardy was brought down in the box and probably should have been given a penalty, Draper was definitely brought down in the box not long after and somehow managed to get booked for simulation. Referee totally fucking shat it. Second half was an embarrassment and Dumbarton were fully deserving of the win. I'd prefer to just forget about that one.
