Getting any sort of win is a great feeling, but we don’t half make it hard for ourselves. Felt like we fell off a cliff after the 2nd goal - we were brilliant up until then and that needs to be the standard going forward. Leslie and King should be cheat codes at this level albeit the latter jaded as the game went on I felt. What a ping for his goal, though. It’d be ideal if we can keep them beyond January, but we’ll have won the league by then so who cares. Really impressed with Connor Young, as well.

I realise shit like that and worse probably happens all the time, but missing out on a signing target because he didn’t want to pay tax on his wages really reinforces how tinpot the level we’re operating at is.

There was a sickening inevitability about it. I don’t think anybody is remotely surprised. I’m now beginning to lose track of the amount of non league teams that have pumped us out one of cups - but the connotations of getting beat off a University team, after a relegation, a shocking League Cup campaign, a shocking transfer window, a baffling management structure and an insipid start to the league campaign arguably makes it our worst ever result. If the chairman is still adamant these losers are capable of mounting a promotion bid, then it’s just gaslighting at this point. Enough is enough.

They had the scoreboard in the Motherwell v Hibs game at 1-0 Motherwell when it was still 0-0. Kept rewinding to see if I’d missed the goal and thought I was going mad.

Abysmal. Didn’t we concede a similar goal to their 2nd last season? Felt like Groundhog Day regardless. The only thing that’s changed is the league we’re playing in. The majority of the squad are absolutely nowhere near good enough.

After the home strip debacle a few weeks ago, it now looks as though we’re teasing one akin to the Matchwinner 1993 effort which would be superb.

I’m in Portugal just now and couldn’t access the WH app as expected, but going in via my browser on my phone seems to work OK - I can deposit, place bets etc. Is there a reason for this? In the extremely unlikely event I won money, could they use this as an excuse not to pay out? Appreciate this is probably the stupidest question ever asked here but genuinely not sure how it works, and will get someone back home to stick something on for me for Saturdays games if need be.

Some good saves from Parry stopped it from being a cricket score. We played ok in stages in the first half but there’s no doubt Accies deserved it, and indeed were going to win it fairly comfortably after they equalised. The fitness levels looked really poor which is disappointing considering how much of an emphasis McLean put on this at the fans meeting. Maybe I’m being harsh with it being the first game back, but it really does leave a bitter taste when we’re constantly being short changed then looking at Spartans, Stenny, Montrose etc all getting good results against Premiership/Championship clubs. Dunnachie looked OK out of the new guy, the boy from Hibs had a really poor game and Mulvaney didn’t exactly get bums out of seats either. Can’t make the rest of these games but I’m hoping for a big improvement for Spartans in a few weeks.
