  1. How do you know that? Actual verbatim evidence or just speculation based on his screaming on match days? BTW, yelling at players and eroding their own ego/personal power would not be my personal approach, I don't really like it.
  2. Who is who in this fucked up game of Cluedo. Are Sumners and Hogarth the legal owners? If it were me I'd have something to say and a future plan. Can some of the recent posters on here address this? Hogarth and Sumners. What are they doing? Do they own this club? Would now rather not rely on the goodwill of people with money, just want to do it ourselves...
  3. Are Sumner and Hogarth the owners ? Where are they in all this? Waiting for legal cases to conclude ? Who else has got a plan. At the moment, dropping at least one division and getting rid of hanger-ons looks to be a good call. If we're worth less, then why stick around. And please, no more director loans, 'putting hands in pockets', American investors that will want a return on their investment etc...borrowing seems to bring untold misery We're all trying to piece the truths/untruths together, being inflammatory and derogatory does no-one any favours
  4. so just walk into the club and say, 'so is Ward a cnut' and see what everyone says? Even if he is, is he the biggest one? Where are the owners?
  5. As majority shareholders, do Hogarth and Sumners have a duty to explain their position to say, the trust? We never hear from them, if they are invested in the club, or even interested, we as fans know nothing. Where is their accountability in all this and can the trust bring everyone to the table as you mentioned?
  6. Fucking hell bud, don't mince your words... Although you sorta did, right? When is what coming out? (puns at the ready)
  7. please Roger, don't drag DM's past up, he's done his time and I believe is reformed. Everyone deserves another chance, you & I included.
  8. If the trust can call the board to a meeting and full disclosure a prerequisite, then in the name of the wee man get it organised (someone?) The discord on here is painful, if not informative (heh). Problem is I don't know fact from fiction other than what's coming from court cases etc Should Livingston have NOT pursued any of the legal cases they were involved with? Why would Martindale and Ward deliberately ruin the clubs finances? Just ego? David Martindale has been a powerful influence and figure at this club for some time, and his influence may well extend into the boardroom. Arguably that can be okay, as long as the Manager is not also on the board, which he's not (or did I miss that?) and its working with a managerial team and not a dictatorship. We've had astonishing results these last 6 years, who's fault is that. Why chuck it away? Is there a logical reason? It seems one suggestion proposed is that DM and Ward deliberately used club funds needed to build a solid team to keep us in the SPL, instead chasing pointless and ultimately ruinous legal cases ....to what end? I have to be honest, I canny keep up with all the speculations and frankly I just want to think and talk about the footie, but its hard going guys when you get online and there's a lot of negative heat, name calling (wtf? that should not be happening) Bad enough on the FB forum, getting so's we fans are too hard on each other and the players will hate that too. They use social media like we never did (I'm knocking on a bit) too many bad vibes floating around ... What's the next best thing we need to all do if we love the club and want it to have a stable future? That's where I'm at.
  9. we need massive f**k off screens as well... ( i can hear the 'oohs' and 'aaahs' even now as replays are replayed)... might give us fans something to do for the 5 minutes they take to watch it over and over ...
  10. I've just put a post on St Mirren thread, we saw more unacceptable behaviour from the young team at Liv North train station, its really not okay.
  11. they were behaving disgracefully at the Livi North train station, utter thugs. We were genuinely scared for our daughter who was getting off coming from Edinburgh, coupled with their behaviour after the game to some fans including a disabled Livi fan, I think its safe to say you have a problem. One that needs addressing immediately before it gets further out of hand. Its a reflection on you, your club and community, so I'd say step in and sort it out through whatever means possible...
  12. Trust getting a lot of negative rhetoric, 'just start all over again' seems pointless and practically not straightforward (shares etc) and smacks of personality conflict mindset. Why don't you just join the effing Trust, and take some control, the message we all read said that if new blood were to step in, existing trust members would step away in a heartbeat. So why not spend some of this energy on calling to arms the other fans to join and re-invigorate? As for divisions, only those who harbour those types of feelings even know about them, I have no fucking Idea what it means, we have one club to support, how difficult can it be to rally round our team/club/fans and put aside personal grievances ? The amount of energy being expended on negativity is pish and makes for a hard read. If you give a shit, the real question is 'what can i do to help' and it might involve joining the trust and sharing in a democratic process. It certainly involves moving from a fixed mindset to a more flexible one. 2 people cancelling is half the Trust board btw, shame I was going...need a new date now... (and if it was cancelled due to illness, I'd rather not be that person that says 'its not good enough') I'm sure in a few replies time I'll regret posting (again)
  13. Doh ! Yeah, its obvious, I just didn't think about it properly... (before having a rant) Still, hate how its all split up and not just under one central control. So if someone wanted to 'buy the club' how would it work with the bar and Suite? Are they both owned by the council?
  14. So 'we' don't own the Almondvale Suite? Who does ? Another short sighted bit of shitemongery ....welcome to Tory Britain where every Tom, Harry and total Dick middle-man scrabbles for a slice of someone else's pie....
  15. now is the time to put the boot into an already undermined manager, undermined players and club in more off field difficulties. If you can manage to undermine them even further, when we get relegated and DM leaves, you will be proved right. And nothing is more important than you being proved right. Maybe it would be better to make constructive comments in this pre match chat and save the other stuff for the other thread, or even better, join the LFL trust, even get on the board ? Or perhaps sniping from the periphery suits you better. Even with the somewhat depleted Hearts team we will obviously be up against it. Just don't go out there and play with a whimper boys, lions play at the Vale, and if we can hold for a draw or better, its a good day at the office. Ignore the noise.
  16. Every year we take a gamble on players coming in, we look for hidden gems or youngsters about to break through, and often we get duds. Sometimes we don't. Not sure what the logic is behind all the signings that have ever taken place, but I know this 'gamble' strategy can pay off. This season maybe not so much. We need to move certain players on and use the budget to get some serious firepower and attacking mentality into the team. Head Coach still needed imo...
  17. Agree with a lot of what is being said here. if this new lad is RWB, what's the chances of seeing Penners and Montano on the pitch same time? Could Penrice just be moved up the wing a bit? He's got some guile about him, I personally think his best is yet to come and in a more attacking position...
  18. I reported abusive comments in this thread but clearly nowt was done about it !
  19. Ferranti broke some rules and to dodge consequences a local newspaper ran a comp to rename. Meadowbank support was dwindling, perhaps due to 2 'big' Edinburgh clubs swallowing up local support like a superstore destroys local stores, same was happening to other small teams. Many fans followed the club out to livi, and we have fans in Edinburgh and further afield (guessing most clubs do), some of these fans if they used these toxic forums, could well put you in your place. In the halls of the club, we honour all iterations of the club, from team photos of Ferranti/Meadowbank and Livi, and embrace the past and all the history You have a problem with the past is seems, and choose to ignore the efforts made by dedicated Livingston fans who might not even know about some of this 30 year old story. Some fans were not even born then and have only known the club as it is now, you are diminishing these' innocent' fans commitments to their club, which is a real as is yours to your club And if the past concerns you so much, why don't you like Hibs? You let them in...
  20. A Torquay fan forum https://torquayfans.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=17664&sid=1c491b71de194d98031ae1a57b74f2cb&p=276842#p276842
  21. too few players trying to do too much. Guthrie and Ayo are not the guys. They both force Davie to make additional tweaks to allow them to play. In Ayo's case, he persisted with the three at the back, so he has to protect AO on both sides. Sean Kelly was on to provide a defensive Midfield barrier again to protect Ayo. We didn't need him on the park, we needed Pittman to be back with mid field, dispossessing and disrupting as that is what he does best. We needed some creativity in the mid to put decent balls through to Anderson, on the deck and often through balls, one-twos etc (the other Kelly). Nouble was RWB due the their number 3's physicality I suspect, or it might have been better to swap Penrice and Nouble to allow them to play as inside forwards, cutting in to their good foot and supporting Guthrie in attack. Not Pitts trying to take the glancing headers and break the defence, it simply didn't work and Pitts was almost always chasing his tail as he was too far forward when play broke the other way. What a difference when the subs came on, surely that must make Davie think twice. The stats on Guthrie that someone posted earlier are damning, it can't be ignored. Is he a striker? What would he be like in some other totally different position (like McPake? try something else ?) Anderson seemed to rush the penalty, don't know why, but feel for the guy. Thought Devlin had a poor game, looked like he was knackered by half time, he was slow and out of position a lot. On the last three performances I'd say there is a positive trend, but we need a spark or an effing good win, not sure where that will come from. Next 4 games are Aberdeen, Celtic, St. Johnston and Motherwell.
  22. I think DM need a bit of distance between him and the players . He and the relationship he had as coach then manager must have evolved, people grow and change. Maybe a shake up of staff might help unlock the playing potential we clearly have. Looks to me like there's a bit of brake-fade. A new Head Coach, that is in between players and DM, and a sports psychologist would be beneficial, especially the Head Coach. We literally don't have one and I think Davie thinks he's still that guy, but imo he needs to step back, and work with the talent, both staff and players if he wants to reach the next stage in his and the clubs development. The structure is wrong ( no official head coach ; Manager and 2x 1st team coaches only) I feel bad saying this but Hastings could be replaced with the New Head Coach's preferred person as well. Upgrade time. The team need more people they can rely on and look up to, that is a players coach and has experience. On the whole topic of the off field 'troubles'. It might be useful if someone who is clearly well versed in the timelines and claims/counter claims, could summarise in a non-biased way, what the fcuk is actually going on? Is it; We're trying to get dosh back from Hogarth that LFC believe he shouldn't have taken? If he had put money in, isn't he entitled to get it back? We are trying to contest Rankine's position that we owe him money? Again, if he put it in, shouldn't he get it back We have Rankine and summer blocking the sale of shares to a new Investor? Due to it undermining their own share value? Is that legal/ illegal? What else? Put it all in a post and then everyone knows as much as everyone else and we can focus on trying to help if we can. Apologies to everyone that knows all the ins and out already.
