  1. Seems like this guy needs a word. Are you two still a couple?
  2. Gone Girl Holy shit, what a twisted movie - seems like a typical David Fincher movie from some reading. Rosamund Pike played an absolute blinder. Wasn't too keen on Tanner but all in all, very enjoyable. 8/10
  3. Works pretty well with Quark or cottage cheese, if you can't stand the sourness of Greek yoghurt. Not used protein powder in a while, but I remember True Whey from MP (chocolate orange) was really lush. Agree about their dodgy delivery service.
  4. Why is there a sudden influx of these sort of posts: "My intention is to fill up facebook with cartoons to break up the negative images and videos. If you like this post, I will choose a cartoon for you.xx" I'm sure the people with power will love it, just placate the sheep and let them fill up on useless shite. And even if it wasn't in response to people posting news articles and stuff, is it against those who post up grieving status updates? What the hell man?
  5. Several months old, but she's so talented, yet comes across as really socially awkward - which just adds to the cute factor.
  6. Best wishes to you and your family; early diagnosis = better prospects so please try not to feel too dogged down.
  7. Have you considered inviting your gf to join you on a night out? Engage her in some of the group chatter and I'm sure she won't complain about being left out or something. Or go out one night with your mates, then treat your partner to a weekend away/fancy meal in/spa day or something? It's probably quite emotionally taxing for a partner (I know how much it must be for yourself personally), as I'm sure she's probably supportive during your down-times? (I hate being a contrarian because I probably sound really snooty, but hopefully a differing view-point helps). Wise words! Good to hear something is working out for you. I too am on citalopram (40mg) and it seems to be helping! Carry on the fine work.
  8. Currently I am doing some cardio and lifting in the house as I can't be bothered (too poor) to fork out for a gym membership. So I do burpees most days a week, I do 20 secs on (can usually managed 8-10) then 10 secs rest, for a combined 2 minutes (and that's classed as a round). Then I do maybe 2-3 more rounds. At a beginner stage right now, but hope to do more/longer rounds as I progress. No need for equipment, full body you get a total arse kicking. Also lift when I can be bothered, usually 6 days a week (high/low/med sequence). So I'll do some shoulder presses/rows one day and legs another. Not really concerned with getting super buff anymore, but just doing enough to stimulate the muscles and not be a fat pos.
  9. Don't beat yourself out. The weird thing is that there are probably a few people you come across on a daily basis (e.g your postie, your manager, a siblings partner etc..) who are suffering, but feel the need to put on a facade because of the stigma (which is still prevalent despite what the media tells you). We could all try and be compassionate and gentler to one another. We're all human, and can instinctively judge ourselves based on our intent, whilst judging everyone else on their actions.
  10. Finally getting round to filling out employment allowance stuff. Completed a questionnaire that's to be returned to ATOS - the name alone is causing me to shit-bricks after hearing all of the horror stories. Haven't heard back from my interview and it's been two weeks. I really should get my thumb out and contact them, but talking on the phone is an absolute nightmare and the thought of rejection alone is fucking terrifying. I'm a 24 year old man ffs..
  11. Wishing you all the best. I'm pretty sure you mentioned that you live in America, so hope everything "paperworks" wise is suitable too - American healthcare seems like a total joke. Hope your daughters aren't too upset and are keeping you company. Human connections can help so much during the down-times.
  12. This is my advice (format is a bit distorted because I'm cutting/pasting something I typed on another site):: Currently hovering around 83kg, was ~115kg during my heaviest.
  13. Haha it wasn't my intentions but it turned out that way. If was weird to begin with, she wouldn't give me her numbers because she was worried too many guys has it. The place she invited me over, the Fleming House (which I'm sure is a hotel) - seemed dodgy too; I thought I was on my way to meet a hooker or something :l! Turned out she was alone in her mates flat. And I probably could have laid with her, had she stopped talking shite, if the house wasn't so open plan and her bitchy flat-mates didn't turn up. We were hitting the bong, drinking and talking pish until her pals showed up, at which I was stared out the door - I had been there for 40 minutes. The worst part is the fact I left my ear-phones there and she un-matched me! Drama students for you!
  14. Done a bong with 1 randomer and bedded another, but I'm sure others will have had far more success. Being an ethnic minority puts me at a disadvantage, I've been told. Most of them don't chat once they match, just seems a bit pointless and probably just an ego boost for them. Having said that, I am currently seeing someone I met on tinder though.
  15. Pen and paper does the trick too . Stronglifts is good. Can get monotonous eventually, but gets you big, strong and is a nice stepping stone to other routines.
  16. I'd be the first to give him the Heimlich. I liked it :/
  17. Full-body probably be best, you don't wanna interfere with the running too much; if that's your priority. Something like Day 1: Squats, bench and deadlift 3x6-8 (setsxreps), Chin-ups (1-2x8-12). Day 2: Squats, Shoulder press, rows (3x6-, dips (1-2x8-12). M/W/F schedule would be good. And then transition onto an upper/lower split once you've gotten used to the DOMs and working out regularly again.
  18. Has this olympic medalling, Scottish sensation appeared on anyone else feed? God I hope she swipes right otherwise I'll greet. Probably a troll though as I've also ran into "Govanhill".
  19. Well interview went well! I even opened up about my mental health illnesses. It definitely loosened me up and I was chatting away all day. Hopefully I hear from them soon. It's a 6 month temporary contract, with possibilities for becoming longer (maybe even permanant as they're on a massive recruitment drive). Thankfully I've worked with these guys before so I'm not sure if I'd recommend everyone go doing that. I can't believe how much I was dreading this interview though. Your brain is not your friend (strangely).
  20. I don't have access to a gym anymore, so I've started doing burpees, following the way it's set out on hundredpushups.com. It's a massive kick up the arse, would not recommend!
