  1. I think that's because you don't appear to know how licensing works. [emoji846] Parks don't get licensed, clubs do. And it's about far more than just the park. The ground is only 25% of a license for clubs like BSC with a youth system. BSC got their license for two years while playing at Maryhill, meaning Lochburn did indeed meet the licensing requirements under the ground section (there are 3 other sections). I believe (again from memory, I was in the LL at the time) BSC actually invested a bit in Lochburn to meet the criteria. Why don't Maryhill get licensed? Maybe they don't meet the other criteria in the other 3 sections of the license criteria, which is arguably more difficult to do for many clubs than meeting the ground requirements. Dunno what that's got to do with BSC though, that's Maryhills choice.
  2. I could be wrong, but I think BSC had their license when they played at Maryhill as it was a requirement of the league at the time and they played Scottish games there? Meaning the ground must have met the criteria? I don't think moving from there was anything to do with the license, from memory it was a spat with their hosts.
  3. I know, I was agreeing with Wullie Robb, the post I quoted. [emoji16]
  4. Dunipace only had 7 of their first team squad in their 21 man matchday squad and of those only the goalkeeper was on the park the last half hour of the game. It was an exhibition team filled with Under 20's, club legends long since retired, club coaches from various levels pulling the boots on and a few guys in to help out. It was definitely all about opening the park and Falkirk were great sending an XI to do that. I would read absolutely nothing into the scoreline. [emoji6]
  5. He scored in the Lowland League for Cumbernauld Colts, away to Vale of Leithen in season 2016/17, to make it 3-3 in the 92nd minute. Good to see he's got another, good player and a good lad, but defo not his first. [emoji106]
  6. No need to apologise. [emoji846] You took your chances when they came and thus deserved to go through. Sometimes that's just fitba. All the best for the next round. [emoji106]
  7. Yes. Newer technology means smaller, individually controllable banks do the job as well as older, bigger single unit technology. The lux output comfortably meets entry level license requirements. [emoji106]
  8. Yep, it's really coming together now! What was pie in the sky to many a decade ago, through lots of hard work by those at the club is less than a week now from hosting it's first game. Can't wait. Covered terrace/seating is being planned just now, as well as club rooms and cafe. Hoping it won't take too long, funding permitting, to get then added after this phase is complete. You'll be welcome any time. [emoji106] Last I heard over 35's was looking to be Friday nights, which suits me. I need to get on the treadmill before it starts (January/February time I think, but would need to check!)
  9. See if you can join the dots and figure out why I might know, regardless of timeline, that he didn't act up in the tunnel and certainly wasn't chastised by his manager, which was the point I was answering. [emoji6]
  10. That didn't happen. [emoji6] No idea where that's come from. We had a light hearted joke with the ref coming out for the second half where I agreed with him (the ref) that Chris wouldn't have had the gash on his leg from Will's tackle if he hadn't tried to stop Will getting the ball for the free kick in the first place. We were all three laughing about it, was a bit of harmless fun. Was an even game between two teams playing contrasting styles. Thought we were better first half, fairly even first 15 second before Bo'ness stronger in the last half hour. One goal was always likely to win it and you were more clinical with your opportunities than we were. With 7 players missing, happy we showed again that as a completely new team we're better than many people expect. [emoji106]
  11. That will come, old terracing on far side was knocked down and the land graded up to get rid of the spoil. This is only the first phase, there's more to come all around, including covered terrace (hopefully before end of the season). Most important was the park and surrounds for now, with the new portakabins also providing toilets does matchdays. Park is bigger than Benburb as well, in terms of dimensions. [emoji106]
  12. Westfield is getting there. Latest photo from late last week, contractors expecting to be complete in the next week or so.
  13. Not sure good get that passed as it disadvantages already existing members. All of LL and HL go into R1 at present, bar the top 2 who go into round 2 along with L2 clubs. You'd be bringing in half the LL and HL a round early, plus bringing the top 2 in a round early (meaning no benefit there for finishing top 2 that currently exists) plus the whole of L2 a round early, L1 2 rounds early. That's a lot of change for teams higher up the pecking order to benefit teams just joining. I'd pin my money on an expanded preliminary setup than anything changing for R1 proper.
  14. Dunipace 2 - 1 Cumbernauld Colts
  15. Big nets at Carmuirs. [emoji16] FWIW, I thought it looked over as well, but a deserved lucky break for the home side for the "shenanigans" on the day. [emoji846] And probably cancelled out by the goal chalked off at the other end before it TBF.
  16. I dunno drs, im sure everyone in conference B would be happy to swap them for last season's EoS runner up. [emoji846] Whatever happens, hope they survive. Whatever the problems on and off the field, it's always a nice place to go and the people who run the club couldn't be any more welcoming the times I've been there. Not nice seeing them struggling.
  17. Yes, Camelon for the Nitten game. [emoji106]
  18. Yep, both qualified. Suspect the Pace might rest a few in favour of their 20's on Saturday given their lengthy injury list. Already qualified and 10 on the treatment table. Probably not worried about going through in first or second place add much as the start of the league in 2 weeks. Objective to get out of the group has been met either way.
  19. Generally accepted protocol in my experience is home team covers the pitch, away team covers the ref. Unless agreed otherwise up front.
  20. With the season fast approaching and lots changing at Westfield, the club have a few vacant roles for anyone interested in joining our growing club. From Facebook: New section on our official site. Feel free to share! Wanted Ads: First Team Physio/Sports Therapist First Team Goalkeeping Coach (inc Development Team) First Team Scout First Team / Club Videographer http://www.dunipacefc.com/clubInfo.php?page=wanted If you know anyone who may be interested, please pass on.
  21. It's 8 months away. It's not next weekend. There's plenty of time for the social club to plan for and benefit from it. I doubt it will impact the club at all given the numbers at Groundhop weekends I've been to before. It's a positive you got a home game first year in, same as us. Make the most of it as it will be a few years before the next home game most likely! [emoji106]
  22. If it's the groundhop weekend you're talking about, it can't be moved to Friday, there's already an 8pm kick off that night as part of the groundhop schedule.
  23. Westfield works underway and progressing well. Top pics Monday, bottom Thursday. Fair cracked on!
