  1. Wasn't there a Mrs Hay or something like that back in the 80s or 70s? I was on drugs most of that time so don't really remember but our World Cup Win in 81 will stay with me forever.
  2. Re: Albion Rovers. Isn't albion a former name of the main island of the British Isles? My favourites in no order and leaving my own team out in case of bias; Queen of the South, Gala Fairydean and Benburb.
  3. From the books,,, 1.Ned 2.Davos 3.Arya 4.Tyrion 5.Coldhands
  4. A single on Thistle to beat Ross County. Our home record can't be as bad as last season....can it?
  5. Is there still a diversion that takes you through a bog somewhere near the Pean? From looking at Scottish Hills it seems to have still been there in April.
  6. It's just a shopping centre, some roundabouts and a few housing estates. Not really a town.
  7. The East Neuk of Fife is lovely. They use the "Fringe of gold a beggar's mantle" phrase apparently said by some king to differentiate themselves from the regular shitey bits of Fife.
  8. I.m thinking of walking the Formartine and Buchan way this year which ends in Fraserburgh. Is it really that bad?
  9. I don't mind the traditional shiteholes of Scotland. The Methils, Lochgilpheads and Cumnocks. It's places that rake in the money and still manage to be shiteholes that get me. Fort William is the shining example. Brodick and Kirkwall are right up there too. The first time I went to Arran I thought Brodick was going to be a great wee town with nice beer gardens and the like. It was shite.
  10. Fort William. The 'outdoor capital' of the UK, and a complete shithole.
  11. Yes do it that way. The Ptarmigan path starts just past the Youth Hostel on the West Highland Way. You'll see the Ardess Ranger centre then a house with a big gate to your right. Cross the stream right next to the house and a path leads from there up the Ptarmigan.
  12. I'm planning on doing the Cape Wrath Trail later this year. Is Glenfiinnan to A'Chuil and then onto Inverie fairly doable in two days with full kit? Also what are the river crossings like?
