    If Spence was judged not good enough before Baird moved on he should still be considered not good enough. It would be ridiculous to do a u-turn now.

    There will be maybe half a dozen games where Cardle will be really on his game and watching him will be worth the admission money. Most of the time he'll drive you nuts though and to be honest I'm happy to see him leave

    It's the story in the Courier. Says he has chosen County over Dundee. It's looking more and more like we're going to need a total rebuild this summer but after last season that's not a bad thing.

    If it's a 'Courier exclusive' there is a fair chance it'll have something to do with one of the Dundee teams. Cardle to Dundee maybe?

    That's my fear as well. We'd need someone else in there to shake it up a bit. Disappointed about Baird, thought we might have held onto him. Does make you wonder if our crap form played a part in his decision or if it was down to financial reasons. This Megginson guy sounds interesting - 12 goals from out wide is a good return. This could go the same way as the Linton rumour though I suppose.

    Donaldson had his chance this season and didn't do enough. He managed to get sent off twice and there was just too many shaky performances, including that ridiculous goal he gave away against Livingston.

    Me neither. He's another one who has had the odd good game but in general he's certainly not good enough to be held up as justification for the youth system. He's better than Donaldson but I'd be worried if the intention is for him to be any more than a squad player next season. I wouldn't be bothered if he was released this summer (although I fully expect him to be offered a new deal).

    Why are we learning about players being released via the Buchan Observer? Good luck to Donaldson, he had a few decent performances last season but not enough to suggest he was ready to step up and become a first team regular.

    I'm saying no-one else other than McGurn are must keeps in my view. There are several players in our squad, like Moon, who will probably do a decent enough job but I wouldn't be bothered if any of them buggered off during the summer. The only other player I'd really like to keep is Booth but his future is outwith our control.

    There are very few of the current squad I would categorise as must keeps. McGurn aside I can't think of anyone else off hand. There have been occasions where he's looked like he's been trying to get sent off, and he certainly doesn't look like he's putting a full shift in to me. That's before even contemplating how ineffective he actually is.

    The only player with a worse attitude was Elliot but we're stuck with him already for next season.

    Anyone who concentrates more on his football than his hair would do me. It's pathetic that someone with his attitude is more than likely one of our highest earners.

    Cardle put in pretty much his only decent league performance of 2014 against Queen of the South in the 3-2 game so that's probably why they're stupid enough to be interested in him.

    It's a bit strange that we've not confirmed details of those players who are being released. Murray wouldn't offer the whole squad new contracts, would he ?
