  1. Anyone at the hall of fame night last night? It was a good night, with some great laughs and some touching moments as well.
  2. I couldn't believe that he won the vote, but he did apparently. I'm heading along tomorrow night all the same, hopefully it'll be a good night.
  3. And European football will no doubt follow within the next 3 years at most.
  4. At the risk of sounding a bit melodramatic, the next two games could define our season. Two wins would see us steady the ship in the league and through to the next round of the cup. While a couple of defeats would have us well on the way to emulating last season.
  5. On phone so can't post a link but it was on the Cowdenbeath match thread. Was a first post though so it could be someone trolling I suppose.
  6. The league being weaker is a fair point, and our form certainly isn't great. I expect us to finish anywhere from 6th to 8th season. The 3 part-time sides give Murray the chance to cut his teeth and make his mistakes while at the same time we should be able to stay out of relegation trouble.
  7. I notice the first "Murray must go" type post has appeared on fantalk. How dare Murray end the first quarter of his first managerial post with more points than we managed last season!
  8. Noticed that Laura Robson has just reached her first WTA final to follow up on her good US open. Just shows what a week of playing mixed doubles with Murray can do for you!
  9. Saturday is a big game for us. We simply have to get back on track soon or the risk of last season turning into this season will just get bigger.
  10. Great draw for us today. Hoping for a crowd of 20,000 which would net us about £100k I reckon.
  11. Story on the Rovers website says £10k plus future add ons dependant upon the lads progress. The Smith deal appears unrelated and I'm glad we've got him back. The first couple of games he looked the best of the hearts loanees before he lost his way a bit and then Jamie Walker took centre stage.
  12. Not watched the video yet but I'm sure when we took the lead there was only about 5 minutes to go. It was ridiculous that we then managed to lose the game.
  13. Did anyone see the 6 candidates from the 90's put forward by the FFP for the Rovers hall of fame? It is obviously a difficult period to pick 6 players from but I found the nominations quite surprising. They were:- Shaun Dennis; Dazza; Jock McStay; Ronnie Coyle; Sinky; and Paul Browne ( ) Notable ommissions included Mickey Cameron, Jimmy Nicholl, Peter Hetherston and Craig Brewster.
  14. Marvin Andrews, Steve Tosh, Didier Agathe, Craig Dargo, Alex Burns and.... Andy Clark!
  15. McVeigh's methods might've been questionable but we were getting results under him. I think we might have had a decent run at promotion if he'd remained in charge for the whole season......
  16. To be fair if we actually made it into the main draws of the Scottish and league cups more often we'd have increased out chances. That's two shockers we've had now this season though.
  17. One of the worst draws possible, and cleary an attempt by the SFL to get rid of one of the two SFL1 giants left in the competiton so that The Rangers have as smooth a path to the final as possible.
  18. That Falkirk game was one of the biggest smash and grab wins I've ever seen. Brilliant!
  19. Doesn't seem as though McGlynn has had the most convincing of starts and throwing a 2 goal lead away against 10 men is certainly poor. As far as I know he hasn't actually been able to make any signings yet though which can't be ideal. He wasn't the best at changing a game though it has to be said.
  20. Noticed some knives out for McGlynn amongst the hearts support already. Wouldn't be shocked to see him out of work by Christmas.
  21. Hopefully he was to blame for the Inverness equaliser. If he was, then a season on loan with us is the only suitable punishment.
  22. £1m each to us, Carnoustie juniors, ICT and Ipswich seems reasonable.
